6 Chapter 5: The Aftermath

So, as you may have noticed, I have changed the Fanfic's name, cover, and synopsis. After looking at other stories, I realized my story didn't stand out and show what the story was about.

As the readers, what do you think?

*1st Person

As soon as my eyes slowly opened, I was blinded by the piercing light. As I looked around, I noticed I was in a nurse's office.

"Oh, It seems you've woken up." A small old lady in a doctor's lab coat and a dress with yellow and red vest-like designs on either side, two yellow buttons, and a belt with a pink "R"-shaped buckle told me kindly.

The old lady, who I recognized to be Youthful Heroine: Recovery Girl, soon began to continue speaking.

"You passed out after over-exerting your quirk in the Entrance Exam. It's been a couple of hours. You should go back home now." Recovery Girl told me. She got off her seat and began to walk towards me.

"Hold out your hand." Recovery Girl asked me. She put some gummies into my hand.

"These should help you out. My quirk drains the stamina of the receiver." Recovery Girl informed me.

"Next time, don't use your quirk that much. It could've ended up with you getting hurt, if not worse." Recovery Girl instructed me.

After that, I got up and left, but not before saying goodbye and thanking her.

I began to walk through the hallways of Yuuei. I noticed how clean the hallways were. I took notice that the sun was starting to set.

I began to stop taking my time and start hurrying out of Yuuei. I didn't want to miss one of the last subway trains heading to Hosu.

Soon after, I made it to the subway.

After I got on, I began to look around and noticed a blonde-haired girl. She looked familiar, but I couldn't recognize her. I blinked and noticed our eyes met. She smiled and waved at me. I decided to wave back since that's etiquette.

After that, I pulled out my phone and scrolled through my music playlist. I almost forgot to take out my earbuds. It was a close call. I was about to play music out loud in the public subway. It only sucks when you play something embarrassing.

But I began to play music. I closed my eyes and waited for the subway to reach my stop. Without realizing it, I started to doze off. Soon enough, everything went black.

Once I opened my eyes, I looked around me. I was not on the subway train anymore.

All I could see was a school. The school seemed to be having its 3rd Year students graduating. My 'body' began walking. I had no control.

"Yo, Jeruka-Kun, what are you doing over there?" 'I' said. The boy Jeruka seemed to have a black eye and some bandages around parts of his body.

"Aww, ye know, just suffering. My injuries still hurt." Jeruka said while chuckling.

"It seems getting beaten up by Saito-Sama won't put you down." 'I' said. My voice tinged with care and humor.

"Of course not. It was my fault anyway. I didn't expect Gloomy Gray Eyes to get so upset over what I said." Jeruka told 'me.' His voice was sincere.

"Well, it was nice talking to you, Jeruka. I have to be on my way. I have to say goodbye to one of the third years.

"Alright, be careful, Tre!" Jeruka said, wishing 'me' well.

'I' continued to walk around the school. 'I explored the school for a good hour until the sound of someone drinking through a straw caught my attention.

Eventually, I found where the source was coming from. I peeked around the corner, but all I saw were two shadowy figures.

Then, one of the shadowy figures looked straight into my eyes. I'm not sure if they were looking at me or not. But I didn't get time to think about it before everything went black.

I opened my eyes, only to be welcomed by the blonde-haired girl from before shaking me.

"Umm... mister, please wake up. I think this is your destination." The blonde-haired girl said, her voice filled with concern.

"Ah, sorry, I was super tired. Yes, this is my destination. Thanks!" I said quickly, not giving the girl time to react before I got off the train.

I realized that it was nighttime. I needed to make my way towards the apartment. Now that I think about it, why was the girl concerned about me?

I couldn't come up with an answer. I decided to leave those useless thoughts for another day. I began to focus on heading home.

As you walk through the alleyways of Tokyo, you see many things. You may see homeless people, small-time criminals, or wanted villains. But the one thing you learn is to never interact with them. Don't even look at them. You may end up being their next bitch, whether it's for money or god knows what.

I want to be a hero and help, but if I use my quirk to try and capture them, I'll be in the wrong for illegally using my quirk. The only way I can get away with using my quirk is for it to be self-defense, which means they need to attack me first.

I mean, I won't let myself get robbed. Even in my past life, as long as it was self-defense, you could get away with protecting yourself.

Ah, now that I think about it, there is another thing! This country relies way too much on All Might. The guy is like 50-something years old? Even if he didn't pass on his quirk to Midoriya, let alone anyone, he wouldn't have survived for much longer. Once he died, the hero society would fall. Therefore, another era of anarchy, villains running amok, would happen again.

The heroes are also useless. I mean, I'm not wrong. There are some times when they excel at their job. For example, Endeavor killing the High-End Nomu, All Might at his job, Mirko at being hot- I mean Mirko fighting against multiple high-end nomus, and early on in the series where heroes weren't able to defeat the sludge villain that held Bakugou hostage.

But in the end, nothing they did could change what happened. The younger generation had to solve the problems they couldn't. The younger generation wasn't even in their second year of high school. They had practically just gotten out of middle school. Some of them were 15 or 16 at the time when I last read before I died. If that's not a failure on the adults of the hero society, then I have no idea.

The only reason I didn't choose to be a villain is because I'm too kind-hearted. I could never live with myself after killing innocents and ruining the lives of others. I'm not an advocate of peace or anything, but can you live with yourself after killing someone's kid, grandparents, siblings, or parents? I would hope not.

But it's not like the villains are justified in killing innocents. But most of them were failed by the so-called Hero Society. Spinner because of his mutation quirk, Toga for the behavioral effects of her quirk, Dabi because of his father, Tenko because no one got to him before All For One, Twice because…., and who knows how many others were failed by the hero society.

But some people were completely evil, All For One, and so many others.

My thoughts soon came to an end after hearing someone's voice.

"Oi, give me ya money, or things won't end well!" A guy in a ski mask screamed out.

Of course, this wasn't directed at me. The robber was speaking to a purple-haired girl. The girl had short purple hair, and part of her hair had purple ear-like appendages. I think.

"You know this is very ina-ppropriate, robbing a young girl at night in an alleyway. That makes you seem like a crim-ina-l~" The short purple-haired girl joked softly.

From my perspective, I could see purple tentacles coming from behind her and heading towards the ground. The tentacles began to slither toward the masked man, and the tentacles eventually got into position to immobilize him.

"Enough with the jokes, and give me your money! Don't make me use force!" The masked man screamed out. He didn't seem to like the jokes.

I looked at the girl and used status-

--- Status

Name: Ninomae Ina'nis

Age: 15

Condition: Healthy

Race: Meta-Human(?)

Quirk: Tentacles Manipulation

---

Hmm? That's interesting! She has the same name as a V-Tuber from my previous world. I have only one question: does she have a similar personality to the Online Persona from my previous world?

I realized it'd be for the best if I called for the cops, not for Ina, but instead for the masked man. I don't want the criminal to get too roughed up or injured and have it fall back onto the girl or me as a witness for not reporting it. Who knows if there are any cameras outside the alley?

The guy then began to use his quirk. He raised his hand, and his nail shot at the purple-haired girl. Ina quickly used her tentacles to block the nails that approached her quickly.

I noticed the belly of the tentacles and a light purple and orange pattern. But I then realized the tentacles shot at the masked man, wrapping around his legs and wrists. Ina quickly immobilized the masked man.

The masked guy turned over onto his stomach. His arms and hands were at his back. He aimed the best he could with his fingers and shot his nails again at the girl.

I realized I should step in. I raised my hands toward where the nails and my blue flames would meet. My flames shot out, burning the nails and scorching the alley's wall.

I could hear sirens coming towards the alley. I know I called them, but even then, I hope I don't get in trouble for helping. But this should be good for anyone researching me.

If Yuuei hears about me stepping in and helping a civilian who was in 'trouble.' They would see me as a heroic student who helps civilians in danger. If my points weren't enough, they could use this as an excuse to let me into Yuuei. What hero academy wouldn't want a heroic student who saves people and has taken their exam?

But the police got out of their cars, and they separated the witnesses, including me and the victim, Ina. They began to take everyone's statements. I gave an accurate chronological order of the events, including when I involved myself. There's no use in lying. Other witnesses would have said I used my quirk.

I, of course, gave some reasoning as to why I used my quirk. "The girl seemed to be in danger, and I used my fire quirk to burn the nails that could've injured her."

The police officers informed me to not be as brazen, but they told me I did a good thing by helping someone who could have been seriously injured.

Ina thanked me after all of the questioning, and she left soon after. Seeing as she left, I proceeded to go back home as well. Knowing that soon, I would receive my letter of acceptance, I would use this time wisely and train more.

I got home and was asked why I had arrived so late, and told them that I had passed out after over-exerting my quirk and had run into a masked man trying to rob a girl.

My grandma and older sister had told me to be more careful. They informed me that helping others is the first step to becoming a hero. They had made some food, and we ate at the dinner table and talked about random things.

Soon enough, I finished and excused myself from the dinner table. After I left, I realized I needed to take a shower. As I showered, I realized so much had happened today. I began to enjoy the hot water, and soon enough, it ended. I had already washed my body and used shampoo and conditioner for my hair. I rinsed it off and turned off the shower.

I began to dry myself with a towel and looked into the mirror. My turquoise eyes shone. My eyes looked similar to Saturo Gojo's, but my white hair was short and nothing like his.

I took pride in my body. Though I looked skinny, I had compact muscles and a four-pack. Soon enough, I would get a six-pack. Then I could prove all the people on the internet wrong from my previous life. I'm not obsessed with it, but it's a good motivator.

I put on the pajamas I had laid out and went to my room. I got ready for bed, and soon enough, I fell asleep. Little did I know, the gears turning behind the scenes began to turn.

Hey, Author Polarization has arrived.

Sorry for the chapter being so late to be uploaded. My laptop would not connect to the internet. It's still a problem, and I have no idea why. But, I finally finished it.

I was on a call with a friend yesterday. We checked out upcoming anime and holy shit, I'm going to be watching a lot of anime in the coming weeks or months.

Big news! I'm out of school on spring break. Let's GO!

Also, what are your opinions on me adding Ina (the vtuber, very scary Ik) to the story? I needed a character for what I wanted and thought, 'Why not add a vtuber.'

I can't say her personality will be the same as the online persona we know. I don't watch vtubers like that. But, I have nothing against them unless they do some criminal activities.

Also, any criticism? What can I do better?

Also, I'm a loot goblin. Give me your stones, or else! If you don't, chapters will come out slowly!

See you in the near future, readers.
