7 Conviction and Pact

Walking to the cafeteria Chiyo and I grab our lunch and head to an empty table. The few stares I get don't go unnoticed. 'Jeez, they weren't lying when they said kids were impressionable.'

Sitting down I start eating. I few other kids approach us but they mainly talk to Chiyo. A few of the brave ones talked to me and they seemed surprised I talked to them…like a normal person.

It was kind of hard making conversation since they mainly wanted to talk about heroes but I skillfully steered the conversation away from that topic.

Once I finish I get up and put trash in the bin and tray on the rack. Walking back I am approached by Bakugou and his lackeys, with Midoriya following close behind. 'Why doesn't he just stop hanging around him. I get he has some twisted form of admiration for him but he bullied him really badly. It just doesn't make sense to me.'

"Hey, new kid," Bakugou says to me.

I give him a quizzical look, "...Do you need something?"

'He seems a little disgruntled by my lack of respect? Awe?' But he keeps going nonetheless.

"My name is Katsuki Bakugou and don't you forget it! I'm gonna be the number one hero EVEN BETTER THAN ALL MIGHT!!!!." He yells the last part nearly blowing out my eardrums. 'Does he know he to regulate if tone?'

Rubbing my ears I respond to him, "Ok… that's cool? You already know my name since we are in the same class, So it's nice to meet you Bakugou." Once I finish I walk back to my table telling Chiyo we should hang around outside until our next class.

Walking outside to a nearby bench I hear someone yell, "WAIT!" Glancing back I see it's

Bakugou. "Do you need something Bakugou?"

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" He yells, 'How has he not lost his voice at this point? He's got some tough vocal cords.'

"Sitting down? Right Chiyo?" I say looking at Chiyo, "Yeah what's the problem?"

"YOU THINK YOU'RE BETTER THAN ME DON't YOU!?!?" He rages back.

We just look at him blankly, "Not really… I met you just 5 minutes ago…" I respond,

Chiyo then sighs, "This is annoying. I'm gonna go sit down, join me once you finish… whatever's going on here okay Hix?" I give her an affirmative nod and she goes to a bench.

Chiyo walking away just fans the flame of Bakugou's anger even more, "If you think you so much better than me I'll just have to show you where you belong." Bakugou activates his quirk. Mini explosions coming off of his hands.

"Woah man I don't want to fight so can you just use your words," I say, my hands up and making a placating gesture.

Bakugou doesn't listen and charges at me screaming "DIIEEE!!!" Quickly dodging I place my foot in front of him and trip him. While he's down I place my foot next to His and soften the ground below it so that his foot sink in it. Reverting the ground to Its original state I walk away leaving him thrashing around screaming. 'It's not perfect since I'm not using my other power for now but It will take him a little bit to dig his foot out. But talk about anger issues.'

Walking to the bench I sit next to Chiyo.

"The mood is kind of spoiled now isn't it?" I say,

"Yeah, we might as well just head to class early." She responds, getting up.

"Great, more boredom," I say rolling my eyes. She just laughs.

Finally escaping pris- School we go to the park since I want to test an idea I came up for my quirk and Chiyo wanted to test her own ideas as well.

Once there I hear something. "Wait hold up, what is that sound?"

"What?" She responds, I just shush her.

"Is that… Crying?" Listening some more I say, "No doubt about it that is definitely the sounds of sniffles and tears."

Sharing a glance we walk in the direction of the crying. Once we are close enough I say out loud.

"Are you okay?"

The crying goes silent for a few seconds. Then the shaky voice of a boy responds "I-i-i'm F-fine."

"Hmm, you don't sound fine to me. We're coming over there now."

Walking around the tree I see a boy, around our age, with purple hair sitting with his face in his knees next to the tree, 'Ah, it Shinsou.'

"So, why are you crying?" I say, though I already have an idea why.

He looks up at me, "It doesn't matter to you." He says roughly.

"C'mon you have to tell me or I'll keep pestering you…" then my face goes serious, "You see, I have what some call a Hero Complex so it's my obligation to help you."

"You have a Hero Complex?" Shinsou asks, looking at me strangely.

"Yeah, just ask Chiyo," I say pointing to her with my thumb.

"It's true, I'm a direct example."

…

We start laughing with Shinsou joining in as well.

"Heheh, but in all seriousness why are you out here crying?" I say.

He looks back at the ground sadly, but he is more willing to share.

"They said my quirk is villainous at school and now everyone avoids me," Shinsou says.

"What's your quirk?" Chiyo asks,

He hesitates but eventually says "It's called brainwashing."

He looks at both of us probably expecting similar reactions to his classmates.

But I just begin to speak.

"This world idolizes heroes so much that they seem to think all strong and flashy quirks mean good and the rest are just rejects, or go under the category of 'villainous.' Just today I got called villainous for my quirk as well. People act like it's the quirk that makes the villain but that's not the case… That's why I'm gonna do something about it." Balling my fist in front of me I continue, "I'm gonna change this world so other people like us" I gesture to the three of us, "Won't be rejected and beaten down by others for some foolish reason. I'm gonna change this world so people see people for who they are. And not their quirk."

They both are stunned at my decleration.

"Of course, I can't do it alone," I say, scratching the back of my head smiling sheepishly.

"So what do you guys say? Want to change the world with me?" I say, looking at them.

Chiyo starts smiling widely while Shinsou still looks shocked.

"You're crazy… But the good kind." He says as he begins to smile as well.

"I'm with you all the way Hix. Let's show up those heroes, and show them how to really rock the world!"

"Then let's make a pact," I say, putting out my fist, the others do the same, until all three of our fists are bumped together.

Looking at the two of them I smile

"Let's change the world."

And with this, the prologue is finished.

The next chapter will be 10 months before The U.A exams.

I have a paper due in a couple of days so chapters might slow down since that will be my focus.

Also I don't think I will increase the radius of Hix's quirk like I said in the second chapter, I think 30.5cm (12inch) is enough honestly. What do you guys think?

Feel free to give criticism (Constructive ಠ_ಠ) Is there anything I should work on? Anything you feel I could have made come across better? Things that don't make sense? Point it out and I'll try my best to fix it.

As for Hix and Chiyo, I might make them a couple since they already care about each other a lot. But if I do it's gonna be on the extreme back burner as in its not gonna be a big thing, since this isn't a romance novel. But idk, I'd like your input on this.
