291 Four reasons why we should do a performance

"Cultural Festival!"

Everyone was so excited when they heard Aizawa's words.

"What's wrong, Sensei? Why are you looking at me like that?"

Leaving the matter of the cultural festival aside, Mineta felt that Aizawa's stare was quite weird.

"Do you have time today?"

"Today? As the class president, I need to be responsible for our class's exhibition, right?"

"...well, that's true." Aizawa sighed.

"What's wrong?"

Everyone was curious.

"Eri wants to see you."

"Eri?"

The rest was confused since they didn't know this name, but Midoriya's expression was strangely solemn like he felt something was stolen from him or something, but he shook his head since this feeling was just for a moment.

While it was troublesome, Aizawa told them who Eri was, causing everyone to feel surprised that such a little girl had gone through so much.

"Eri wants to see me?"

"I mean, don't you want to see her?"

"Well, if she is ten years older than I might want... Cough! Cough! That's true. I am a bit worried about her, so I might visit her later."

"Good." Aizawa nodded.

"Are you going to visit her, Aizawa-sensei?"

"Of course." Aizawa nodded. "I am the one who is in charge of her guardian now."

Eri's Quirk was dangerous and powerful. If her Quirk went on a rampage, no one could stop it except for Aizawa, so it was normal for him to be chosen as Eri's guardian.

"Then, we'll go together later?"

"Yes."

"Are we alone?"

"Mirio-senpai is going to go with us."

"Okay." He nodded, then said, "Then, it is better for us to finish our discussions about the cultural festival."

Aizawa and everyone in the class agreed since they thought that Eri might have trauma and Mineta was the one who could help her.

"But is this really alright? The villains are everywhere now, so is it really okay for us to enjoy ourselves like this?" Unexpectedly, it was Kirishima who asked this question.

Mineta looked at Kirishima before he looked at Uraraka, who blushed before she looked away shyly. He smiled and thought that he should teach this girl more since it was so much fun to train such an obedient pet. No, he meant to educate his obedient student.

While many were surprised, Aizawa nodded. "A reasonable opinion, but lest you forget, Yuuei is more than just the hero department. If the sports festival is the hero department's time to shine, then the culture festival is where the other departments really stand out. While it's true that it's not nearly as big of a spectacle, it's an event they're really looking forward to. And given the current state of things, with the introduction of the dorms, many people have been feeling stressed since everything has been revolving around the hero department."

"Thinking about it that way... I feel pretty bad about it..."

Everyone started to lower their heads and felt uncomfortable by the many troubles they had caused.

However, Mineta frowned before he shook his head.

"Yes, in this situation, it isn't fair to expect them to just act with restraint... this year, unlike in the years past, we will be putting on a culture festival exclusive within the school community with the exception of a few other related parties. I know I said that you all aren't the stars of the show this time around, but each class has to do something. So today, we will be deciding what to showcase as a class."

Aizawa was already inside his sleeping bag. "Mineta. Yaoyorozu. I'll leave the rest to you two." He closed his eyes and started to sleep. While he had some of Mineta's juice, he wanted to keep it during the most critical moment since he knew how important his juice was. Lastly, it was also part of the habit of sleeping during this type of time, so it couldn't be helped, right?

"Yes, Sensei." Momo nodded, but Mineta shook his head.

The two of them walked to the podium and, ready to hear everyone's suggestion listened to what they wanted to do for the school festival, but Mineta suddenly said, "Before we start to make a list, there is something that I want to talk with all of you."

Everyone focused on Mineta, and even Aizawa also opened his eyes.

"To be honest, I don't agree with the decision of the school and Aizawa-sensei."

"......" Everyone.

"......." Aizawa.

"It's true that we have been in the spotlight for a while, and it caused the other departments to forget that some are even stressed by it, but did you forget what we have gone through?"

"......" Everyone.

"We're all hurt, injured, and even almost died.' Mineta sighed. "Compared to the stress, what of it?"

"....."

Yes, it was just stress.

Just bear with it!

However, almost all of them died from the attacks. Did they even complain? No. The one who complained was the other departments who didn't know anything and thought that it was unfair that they were forgotten, but could they blame them?

"That's why..." Mineta showed a gentle smile. "I don't want all of you here to participate in the school festival while thinking to vent everyone's stress or thinking that we have caused them so much trouble. Instead, I want you all to enjoy this school festival as a precious and unforgettable memory since our time together is limited. Three years will pass without you even realizing it, so on this cultural festival, let's have a blast, everyone!"

"OOOOOOOOHHHHH!"

Everyone roared in excitement.

Aizawa looked at Mineta in a daze before he let out a sigh with a smile on his face.

Yes, Mineta was correct.

They shouldn't think of the cultural festival as a way to help vent to the rest of Yuuei's department. Instead, they should use this as a way to have fun and relax.

With that said, everyone started to give suggestions to one another.

Momo was in charge of supervising everyone and eliminating inappropriate and impossible-to-implement exhibitions.

"Minoru, what about you?" Hagakure looked at Mineta. "You have been standing there without saying anything. Don't you have a good idea?"

Everyone also looked at Mineta curiously.

After all, this guy didn't do anything and just stood in a relaxed position as he watched Momo manage the suggestion to everyone.

"Me? I think that we should do a performance."

"Performance?"

"Yes, a singing with a dancing along with special effects."

"........"

They had to say that his idea was good, but they were curious.

"Why did you choose that?"

"Well, firstly, we have someone with a flashy Quirk like Todoroki and Aoyama."

"Tres bien~!" Aomaya stood up with an elegant pose.

Todoroki nodded

"Secondly, Mina is good at dancing. We saw her do a breakdance before, right?" Mineta looked at Mina. "Mina, can you take care of the choreography?"

"Leave it to me! I will create the best choreography and make everyone as good as Michel Jackson!"

"Good." Mineta nodded. "Then, thirdly, we have Jiro."

"Eh? Me?" Jiro was dumbfounded.

"Yes, you're good with singing and playing musical instruments, right?"

"But..." Jiro blushed and felt shy.

"No, but! Jiro, I believe you. I am sure that you can make the best song for us."

Jiro looked at Mineta, who looked at her with a gentle smile and said those words confidently. Her face was red before she let out a helpless sigh. "The-Then, it can't be helped..." She murmured while touching her ear shyly.

"......" Kaminari.

"Lastly, this is the most important reason why I choose this."

"What?"

Everyone was curious, including Aizawa.

"The time for our exhibition is short."

"......." Everyone.

"Don't underestimate this reason. Cafes and many others are fine, but they will take a lot of our time. Our preparation time is similar, but it will take us more time as we need to manage our exhibition. On the other hand, if we do this performance after we finish, we can enjoy the cultural festival without worry and have fun to the fullest."

Mineta smiled and asked, "So, what do you think?"

"........"

They were in a daze, but they agreed on the spot that they should do a performance.

With everything decided, Aizawa made a note that Class 1-A was going to do a performance.
