295 A little problem

With everyone deciding to do a performance, everyone also started to train for their respective roles.

Mineta, Jiro, Momo, and Bakugou were in charge of the music. After all, among all the students in Class 1-A, they were the ones with an experience of music.

Leaving Momo aside, since she was a lady and had been taught many lessons during her childhood, Bakugou was unexpectedly talented at being a drummer, which made him instantly chosen as the member of the band.

Initially, Jiro thought that they should add one more guitarist. Mineta was the lead guitarist, and the other should have taken the rhythm role.

When Jiro announced this matter, Kaminari wanted to raise his hand directly. He might not have the experience to play the guitar, but he felt he needed to take this role. While he wasn't sure the reason, he had always felt like something had been taken from him.

To be honest, the relationship between him and Jiro was okay. They were normal friends, and he also often teased her, which caused her to laugh, especially when his brain was short-circuited when he used his Quirk too much.

He had always thought that he was the closest, yet unexpectedly, he wasn't the one who was the closest.

While he might seem like a player, he was unexpectedly pure.

He didn't have any experience with a girl, so he was quite shy, especially for the girl that he fell for.

He was about to raise his hand, but Mineta said, "Tokoyami, you are good at guitar, right?"

"Well, I was dabbling a bit."

While Tokoyami might seem humble, he took the guitar and started to play the guitar skillfully until he made a mistake on the F-chord.

"You're not good with F-cord?"

"I don't have anything to say in defense." Tokoyami closed his eyes in regret.

"But overall, you're good. So I will teach you."

"Much oblige!"

With Tokayami chosen as the second guitarist, all the members of the band were chosen.

"..." Kaminari.

"What's wrong, Kaminari?" Sero asked curiously.

"No-Nothing!" Kaminari shook his head while letting out a long sigh. He looked at the distance where the members of the band for the performance gathered, talking to each other with great enthusiasm.

While she stood there, he stood in this place.

They were in two different places.

He tried to get closer, but she moved further. He let out a long sigh and wondered whether everything was hopeless.

"Come on! We're in charge of backstage. Let's talk with everyone."

Sero pulled Kaminari from the backstage group.

As he was pulled, he felt the distance between them become further and further.

Even though Class 1-A had decided to do a performance, the one which worked wasn't only Jiro, Mineta, Momo, Bakugou, and Tokoyami.

For example, Uraraka, Iida, and many other girls were in charge of dancing.

As for Todoroki, Sero, Kaminari, and a few others, they were in charge backstage along with visual effects.

While the band was the main attraction, the rest also had their own roles.

If the band was the main dish, the rest would be side dishes.

While a single main dish was okay, having side dishes made it even more delicious, right?

It was similar to their performance.

Everyone had their own roles, and they were eager to make this performance succeed.

Not because they wanted to help those from the other departments to vent their stress.

Instead, it was because of their own free will.

As they trained day by day, everyone except for Mineta could feel the gaze on them, especially from the General Department.

Unlike the Support and Business Department, the General Department was like any normal high school around the country. Their purpose was to study before they continued to study again at the university. They were different from Hero, Support, and Business Departments, which had a purpose.

Well, while it might be cruel to say this, the General Department was also a failure, which wasn't accepted by the Hero Department. Naturally, their attitude toward the students in the Hero Department wasn't good since they were filled with envy and jealousy, considering their status and all.

More importantly, when they thought about how the Hero Department had always caused trouble, they felt like they were better.

Unfortunately, their stares did nothing, and the confidence aura emitted from the students of the Hero Department made them flinch before they looked away. While they didn't want to admit it, they knew they felt inferior. However, they also felt that they were better than some members of the Hero Department, such as Midoriya and Kaminari, so the gazes which those two felt were quite intense.

The mentality of the two boys also wasn't that good, so they always had this reserved and awkward expression toward those who stared at them rudely, thinking that they would stop, but this action caused the reaction of the students of the General Department to be more intense.

Why?

It was because they thought of them as a pushover. They thought of them as weak. Even though they were treated like this, they did nothing. Instead, they smiled at them as if they were below them.

This caused their actions to become more intense.

However, it only happened when Midoriya and Kaminari were alone.

If those two stood with the rest, the students of the General Department didn't dare to do anything. They were like this. They bullied the weak and were afraid of the strong.

As long as those two stared them back, everything would stop, but they didn't do it, thinking that everything could be solved with their peaceful and slightly cowardly reaction.

Unfortunately...

Mineta didn't know this. Even if he knew, he didn't even glance in their direction since he felt that they were stupid. Those General departments were so weak and below them, yet those two let them trample themselves. They might think that as students from the same school, they shouldn't fight each other and just let them do whatever they want since after the performance, everything would return to how it used to be.

They weren't wrong, but Mineta had to say, he could only shrug his shoulders since if that was the way of life they had chosen, then in the future, they would have a hard life.

With that said, during such a busy time, Eri suddenly came along with Sir Night Eye and Mirio. They were all coming to see Mineta.

"Minoru-nii!"

Eri greeted Mineta with a bright smile.

"Hey, Eri-chan."

Mineta approached them as they talked to each other. He also introduced all of them to his classmates, which made all of them smile, especially the girls. The girls thought that Eri was cute, and learning how hard her life was before him also woke their maternal instinct, making them dote on her.

Eri was a little troubled and hid behind Minete's legs. Still, was it her imagination, but she felt like many girls had a close relationship with Mineta?

With that said Sir Night Eye suddenly made a drastic move by approaching Midoriya. "Are you Midoriya Izuku?"

"Ah, um, yes!" Midoriya answered nervously.

Sir Night Eye's build was tall, and just standing nearby would put anyone under pressure. More importantly, his stern expression also made it worse.

However, the reason why Midoriya was nervous was that he knew who this person was.

The two stared at each other for a while before Sir Night Eye shook his head and walked away.

"You're not fit."

"..."

Many heard Sir Night Eye's words, but they didn't understand anything.

However, Midoriya clenched his fists in frustration and was also on the verge of crying.

Mineta saw all of this and rolled his eyes, wondering whether Midoriya was going to report this matter to All-Might. Somehow, this image reminded him of a spoiled kid who had always reported to the teacher or parent because of a conflict with someone.

Still, the matter of inheritor of One-For-All had nothing to do with him.

"Eri-chan, do you want to tour around the school?"

"Um!"

With his words, they toured around, walking in various places from Class 1-B, his garden, and many other places, but after this trip, either Eri, Mirio, or Sir Night Eye thought that Mineta was just too popular.

However, it had nothing to do with them, and wasn't it a normal thing?

As for Eri, while she wasn't sure, she felt like her brother was going to be taken away, which made her uncomfortable.

While he was helpless, he could only coax this little girl.

Still, even with this little trouble, the cultural festival was about to start, but what he didn't know was that someone was about to interrupt it. Fortunately, it seemed he wouldn't be the one who solved this matter since the power of the plot would force this villain to meet with the protagonist of this world.
