11 Aftermath

All the people around the nomu instinctively closed their eyes when they saw a bright flash of light.

They opened their eyes when they heard a loud sound of an explosion.

They were shocked to see the nomu whose upper body was destroyed.

It didn't regenerate again and fell to the ground.

They turned their head toward the sound of the explosion.

Everyone saw a loud cloud of smoke, dust and fire.

Ayaka realised what just happened and turned her head in Izumi's direction.

She saw Izumi laying on the ground without any movement.

She used her quirk and appeared by Izumi's side within seconds.

Ayaka took a look at Izumi's body.

Both of Izumi's arms were mangled and he was losing blood.

Looking at Izumi's arms and the blood on the ground, Ayaka's body started shivering.

Ayaka lifted Izumi's upper body with shaking hands.

"Brother? Brother? Can you hear me? Brother?!"

She gently patted Izumi's cheeks hoping to get a response.

"Brother, stop playing around. If this is a prank then I will never speak to you again."

Tears welled up in Ayaka's eyes.

"I need to find someone with a healing type quirk. Maybe a teacher. Thirteen! She is a rescue hero. She will know what to do."

Ayaka picked Izumi's body in her arms and used her quirk to teleport to the entrance.

She arrived at the entrance and walked out of USJ.

She looked around and found Thirteen and the other students.

She teleported in front of Thirteen and spoke in a trembling voice.

"Thirteen, you need to help brother! He is badly injured. He is also bleeding a lot."

Ayaka laid Izumi's body on the ground.

All the students were frightened when they looked at the state Izumi was in.

Thirteen looked at the trembling Ayaka.

"Yes, I will. But you need to calm down Ayaka. The teachers will be here soon. The recovery girl is also coming with them. Everything will be fine."

Ayaka absent-mindedly nodded her head without looking at Thirteen.

Thirteen checked Izumi's condition.

"One of you get the first aid box from the bus. We need to stop the bleeding."

Ida went inside and brought the first aid box.

"These are quite peculiar wounds."

Just as Thirteen finished speaking, All Might landed a few feet away from them.

"What's the situation?"

"Most of the villains are being taken care of by Eraser Head. Some of the villains were dealt with by Izumi and the students."

Thirteen spoke as she continued doing first aid.

All Might approached Thirteen and looked at the unconscious Izumi.

"Was this done by the villains? No, these wounds are a little odd. To push himself to this state. Who did young izumi fight?"

Ayaka answered All Might.

"He dealt with a guy who could warp. And someone that looked like the leader of the villains. He also dealt the killing blow to that thing."

All Might pondered for a few seconds.

"Just a moment, I will get Recovery Girl."

All Might disappeared and returned after a minute, holding Recovery Girl in his arms.

Recovery Girl approached Izumi and checked his condition.

After a few minutes.

"His body's condition is really bad. He pushed himself way past his limit. This was the result of him overexerting his body and quirk. I can't treat these injuries because he doesn't have any stamina left. We need to take him to a hospital, immediately."

Thirteen finished bandaging Izumi's arm.

"I have stopped the bleeding but I can't do anything else that will be useful. We should take him to a hospital as Recovery Girl said."

"Wait a moment. I will be back in a second."

All Might said and disappeared.

He reappeared after a minute."

"I have incapacitated the villains. I can take young Izumi to the hospital. Ayaka you can come to the hospital with one of the teachers. They will be here soon."

All Might lifted Izumi's body in his arms and blasted into the sky.

In a different place.

"I had higher expectations for you Tomura."

A man in a black suit without any facial features except for the mouth, AFO, spoke to the air.

The next moment a grey liquid appeared in the air.

Shigaraki's body dropped out of the grey liquid.

"It's alright if you have failed this time. You can try aga-"

AFO came to an abrupt stop and looked at Shigaraki or whatever was left of him.

The smile he had on his face disappeared and he was visibly shocked as he got up from his chair.

AFO looked at the head near his feet.

Shigaraki's severed head rolled near AFO's feet when his body was warped and fell to the floor.

AFO alternatively looked between Shigaraki's head and his headless body.

"WHAT THE FUCK!"

|| A few hours later ||

"Izumi is at the hospital undergoing treatment. The other students are unharmed. There were two weird creatures among the villains that broke into USJ. One had a warp quirk while the other hand had multiple quirks such as shock absorption and super strength. Apart from these two and the leader, all the villains have been apprehended by the authorities. We have also escorted the students home."

Aizawa read the report to the teachers and principal in the conference hall.

"I am thankful that most of the students were unharmed. Are there any leads on the leader that escaped?"

Principal Nezu questioned.

Aizawa pressed a button and motioned for all the teachers to direct their attention toward the screen.

"Izumi battled the leader alone. After all the villains were apprehended we searched for the leader but only his four limbs were found. We concluded that they were severed by Izumi during their battle."

Four limbs were displayed on the screen which were cleanly cut.

"Isn't that too brutal for a hero in training?"

Midnight asked Aizawa and the other teachers.

"Yes, it is. I will have a meeting with him after his treatment. But that is not the only important thing."

"Oh! What else is more important?"

Principal Nezu was intrigued along with the other teachers.

Aizawa pressed the button again which changed the pictures displayed on the screen.

Trees and large boulders cut in half were visible on the screen.

Everyone was surprised by this.

"Did the leader's quirk have something related to air manipulation? The trees and boulders look like they were cut by a sword."

"No, this was the work of Izumi Adachi."

All the teachers were shocked.

"Aizawa, are you certain?"

"Yes. The investigators deduced this by examing the cuts, Izumi's height along with his previous recording of using a sword and a few other things. They are certain that this was Izumi's handiwork. He used his quirk with his sword which resulted in what we see on the screen."

A silence descended on the conference hall for a minute.

Nezu broke the silence.

"The Adachi family never fails to amaze me. Their swordsmanship and the control over their quirk is leagues above everyone else."

"I apologise for interjecting but there's more."

Aizawa said as he pressed the button and the images on the screen changed.

It had pictures of the nomu with shock absorption whose upper body was destroyed.

There were a few other pictures which showed the trail of destruction of the lightning bolt and the result of its explosion.

Another long silence descended on the conference room.

"The only word that can describe him is monster."

"I agree with you. The control he has over his mind, body, and quirk is ridiculous. Along with his swordsmanship and martial arts. He also has a great battle sense and a calm mind. He will probably be one of the strongest heroes in the future. But he is a little brutal."

All the teachers sighed.

"Apart from him, we have a few more incredible students. Midoriya, Bakugo, Todoroki, and Ayaka. There are few others but they will require more training."

"So the leader was probably warped away after he was defeated."

"Yes."

"Please continue."

"The authorities have interrogated the villains. Their goal was to kill All Might. All the villains except for the two weird creatures were small-time thugs that usually lurked around back alleys. The leader got them all to follow his crazy plan. There is probably a mastermind behind this incident. I am saying this because the leader appeared quite immature during the whole incident. He was monologuing about his plan and how the creature beside him had multiple quirks and other things. This was probably planned by someone else."

"Multiple quirks, huh?"

Nezu looked toward All Might. He met his eyes and continued.

"It reminds me of a villain of the past. But what concerns me the most is how the villains got their hands on All Might's schedule. It has to be related to the incident in the afternoon. One of the villains probably broke into UA and got his hands on All Might's schedule. But that would be still impossible without internal help."

"Then..."

"Yes, there is a traitor among us."

|| A few days later ||

U.A.

"Hey, did you watch the news last night?"

"Yeah."

"Did you see how everyone in the class was on-screen for a second?"

"Yes. But man, all the channels made a big deal out of it."

"Can you blame them? The hero course that keeps pumping out pro heroes was attacked. That's what they care about."

"We are taking it lightly because it was handled quite well. Who knows what would've happened if Izumi and Mr Aizawa weren't present."

"Yeah."

All the students said in unison and looked toward the empty chairs in the last second row.

"Mr Aizawa was awesome! He single-handedly destroyed those villains. That was so manly!"

"Yes. And do you remember how Ayaka and Izumi attacked the villains with their swords? That was so cool!"

The students continued to talk amongst themselves until they heard the bell which indicated the beginning of homeroom class.

Aizawa entered the class.

"Morning, class."

"Morning, Mr Aizawa!"

"I have news for you. As you all know Izumi was quite injured in the recent incident. The doctors have treated him and he is out of danger. But he hasn't gained consciousness yet. And Ayaka is on leave today."

"Did the doctors say when Izumi will gain consciousness, Mr Aizawa?"

"The doctors aren't certain about the time. We can only hope that he regains consciousness soon."

All the students got depressed after Aizawa finished speaking.

"Most of you should have realised by now that Izumi overexerted himself to protect all of you. Part of the blame also lands on us teachers but that doesn't change what he did for all of you. So you need to make sure that none of your classmates has to do that again. To make sure of that you need to get stronger. Understood?"

"Yes, sir!"

"Now, the next important thing. Your fight isn't over yet."

All the students started panicking while some froze due to fear.

Aizawa continued, "The U.A. sports festival is drawing near."

"That's a super normal school event! Why would you scare us like that!"

All the students shouted in unison.

"Mr Aizawa, is it okay to have a sports festival so soon after the villains snuck inside?"

"What if they attack us again or something...?"

The students questioned Aizawa.

"Apparently, the administration thinks that this is a good way to show that our crisis management system is solid as a rock by holding the event. Security will also be strengthened to five times that of previous years. Above all, our sports festival is a huge opportunity for all students. It's not an event to be cancelled because of a few villains."

"But Mr Aizawa if Izumi doesn't wake up he will not be able to participate in the festival, will he?"

"Yes. If he doesn't wake up then we can't do anything about it."

Aizawa and the students continued to discuss the sports festival.

The Adachi Estate.

Ayaka stood inside a training hall holding a sword.

She was sweating, she looked tired as there were dark circles under her eyes she was pale.

She sheathed her sword and threw it aside.

Ayaka used her quirk and floated in the air.

Looking at all the boulders in the training hall, Ayaka slowly raised her hands.

Ten boulders started floating in the air.

Ayaka clapped her hands.

All the floating boulders exploded sending debris all over the training hall.

Ayaka looked at the stones all over the training hall and clenched her hands.

The small particles started to gather together.

Ayaka was struggling to gather all the particles and compress them into a single boulder.

After a few minutes of struggling, Ayaka failed to compress it, and the debris fell to the ground.

Ayaka also overused her quirk and fell to the ground.

"Not yet! I can still do it!"

She was struggling to get up when Aoi appeared in front of her.

She placed a hand on Ayaka's shoulder and forcefully stopped her from getting up.

"I can do it, mom! I still have a lot of energy left! I can do it!"

Aoi knelt in front of her daughter and hugged her.

Ayaka attempted to push her mother away for a few minutes but failed.

Aoi didn't move a single inch and just hugged her daughter.

After sensing Ayaka give up struggling, she started to gently pat her back.

"It's alright, Ayaka. You don't have to blame yourself for it. Your brother did what he thought was right. He did it to protect you."

Aoi gently said to Ayaka who had started crying.

"Because of me, mom. If I was stronger brother wouldn't have been hurt that badly. If only I was stronger. Because I was useless."

Aoi continued patting Ayaka and let her vent her frustration.

After some time Aoi stopped hugging her daughter and looked at her.

"Your brother is strong. He will wake up soon. You need to be stronger and wait for him. He would be disappointed if he saw you crying because of a silly reason like that. And if he finds out about the reason he will probably annoy you your whole life using it. You don't want that to happen, do you?"

"Noooooo..."

Aoi hugged her daughter again as she continued speaking.

"Exactly. So, stop crying and blaming yourself. And you haven't eaten proper food for a few days now. Let's go I will make your favourite dish for you."

"You are talking as if you have eaten a proper meal. I am not eating if you're not eating with me."

"Alright, let's go. Jin, you can come in!"

"Wait, dad was listening to us all this time?!"

"Of course! HAHAHAHA!"

Jin answered Ayaka's question instead of Aoi. Ayaka turned her head toward her father's voice and looked at his mischievous smile.

"NOOOOOOO!"
