25 Chapter Twenty-five

Right now, Ayato was sitting in an empty room, with a desk in front of him and his hands... pfft... cuffed. Hah.

As soon as the authorities arrived, they arrested the villains, him and Rin. Truly, the height of rationality.

Rin knew not to say anything and Ayato was pissed, naturally. People attacked their home, that they paid for, tried to kill him, tried to kill Rin, and when he retaliated, suddenly he was at fault?

Ayato blankly looked over at the "Mirror", which was just there without any reason in particular. Seriously, how people thought that a mirror inside an interrogation room would not be suspicious is beyond me.

Using his radar to observe what was happening to Rin in a room across from the one he was staying in, he felt that there was a guy yelling, the annoyance in his voice was palpable

The first big fight he had, this police station is being "accidentally" destroyed.

The news should have spread already, their parents should be on their way, even if they were attacked too.

His mind went back to the person he interrogated. That poor bastard.

The guy with black hair and burn marks came out of a purple mist in their hideout.

Purple mist.

If he transformed into his dragon form, he could track them, their location, and douse the flame that they called life. I still had the scent after all.

The police wouldn't even suspect anything, I could make it look like someone with an invisibility quirk or a chameleon quirk... hell, a Telekanesis quirk.

If they dared to cross him, they would pay in blood.

Ayato's eyes narrowed as the man stood up and stormed out of the room. He seemed to go into an office, seemingly trying to calm down as the sound of his deep breaths was heard by the enhanced hearing and his heartbeat calmed down.

The police here were very... intense. Mostly because of Quirks. Especially when a person had quirks that could be very useful in law enforcement.

They would do anything to get higher in the ranks.

Meaning, they would interrogate kids even if it was self-defense, labeling them as "Up and coming villains".

Disgusting.

A new guy, not the same one that interrogated Rin, came into the room, and he looked over at the older man. Not being able to see him, it was hard to distinguish things like hair color and eye color, but everything else was clear as the blue sky.

He wasn't bulky, or skinny. His muscles were not trained, he had a gun... pfft, gun.

His beard was neat and tidy and his hair slicked back.

Basically a definition of a new officer. Hell, even his uniform was tidy. Green as grass.

Ayato remained seated as the man walked over to the other side and took a seat... He stared at Ayato and the teen dragon just... sat there like that, doing nothing in particular.

The reason a hot cup of coffee was spilled on the asshole that screamed at Rin was definitely not his fault... nope.

"So, the reports say that the civilians saw you holding someone as you burst out of a window from an apartment complex, and a few seconds later, a yellow rock followed you... Got anything to say for yourself?"

Ayato just blinked behind his blindfold. He didn't like that accusatory tone. Where the hell was professionalism? Introduction? Asking for my name?

What? Since I was a kid, those were not needed.

"I would like to make a call."

Those were the horned boys' only words. Everyone got that commodity, at least. The man placed his papers down and gave the teen a look, with a raised eyebrow and everything, indicating that he wasn't impressed.

"I don't think you understand your situation-"

"I, an underage teenager, was detained, the first thing that needs to be done is informing my parents, legal guardians, or my mentors."

Ayato cut the dumbass off and remained silent as soon as he finished, giving the man his own raised eyebrow.

The older man looked at Ayato for a moment before sighing and leaning forward, elbows on the desk.

"Look, we just need some questions answered and you won't be in much trouble. Just cooperate with us."

His tone became gentler and if Ayato could deadpan any harder, he would. He could take that first-year psych student bullshit and shove it up his ass. Let's see how well that half-assed education works when I commit arson.

Ultimately, Ayato remained silent and leaned back, relaxing as he felt four people enter his sensing range.

He couldn't feel it from here but he was sure that his parents were pissed. Rin's parents must have been worried, judging from how one was trying to calm the other one down.

Ayato just waited, ignoring a few more pointless questions as the four people he was keeping his senses on came closer and closer, their outlines becoming clearer and clearer...

And holy shit, his mother was pissed!
