7 Chapter 6: Cheetah's Hunt

Sometime before the kidnapping

With Minerva

"So, she combines carbon atoms to make diamonds?" She was currently still with Jemima with the addition of Mutale who was on a break in his discussions with some important looking people.

"Yes, the more the carbon the easier for her to make the diamonds but that's all we have on the for now in the current scope of her abilities." Mutale said sipping a little champagne. "Am just glad she awakened her quirk safely." That comment caused Minerva to snot.

"That's more than I could say for Chicky." She said laughed a little causing the couple to look at her.

"What happened." Jemima asked.

"We went to the supermarket to buy some stuff and I told him to grab some juice by the freezer. The next thing I see is electricity shooting out of his hands short circuiting the thing. Good thing the store had insurance on that kind of stuff otherwise I would have been in debt." She finished explaining her story while couple just glanced at each other. "But meh could have been worse." She shrugged as he could have accidently fired someone with those powers.

"What is his quirk?"

"Oh, we don't have a name for it yet but he can produce electricity through his body and effect the electromagnetic waves around him." Once she was done Mutale eyes widen.

"That's incredible!" He was shocked because sure there might have been good quirks found in the country from time to time but most aren't really up in the tier list and if they are most leave the country to work for ither more developed countries to work as heroes.

"Wait wasn't he supposed to have gotten a quirk similar to yours like a cheetah, lion, tiger, leopard or Puma?" Jemima questioned her.

"Yes, but I guess he has more of his dad's side of the family in that area." She than looked at them. "What about you two did Suiw get a quirk that's a mashup of ours or something else new?" She shifted the topic not wanting to go deep into her deceased brother-in-law or sister.

"Oh, you can say something like that. My quirk is similar to my daughters but to a much lesser extent I can compress carbon into diamonds but only in the air and it takes a lot out of me." She said as she clapped her hands together hard until a small star shaped crystal was there. "My limit is four times bigger than this." Jemima than handed the diamond to Minerva.

"While my quirk helps increase my focus by a high amount in situations but only after I feel at any part of my body." Minerva raised an eyebrow at Mutale's quirk but honestly it was the application needed which got her a little but she's seen and heard weirder quirks but it was still pretty useful especially in his profession.

After a little while Mutale had a to leave to talk to get ready for some announcements and some women who knew Jemima showed up and they had a little conversation with them. After some time, Minerva was starting to get a little hunger.

"Don't worry Minerva the announcements are about to start and we'll get served afterwards." Jemima said to her new friend noticing her face.

"Thank christ." She sighed. "Well, I better get Chicky before they start serving."

"Your right I should probably get Suiw too."

Minerva than sniffed the air to trace where her nephew had gone to and luckily, he wasn't very far from her.  Before she could get up and go get him her ears rose up and her whiskers twitched a little, she than turned towards Jemima and forced her back to the sit causing the woman the squeak in surprise. Then the large projector began to act which previously showed a large picture of the hotel's logo now showed a menacing man wearing an ivory African mask. People began to panic and before they could run the fake guards fired some rounds in the sky causing people the freeze.

Ceramic immediately took action and his arms to form of long clay wipes and struck four fake guards while grey hippo charged and two before they could fire at him and knocked them out. As other heroes were about to also step in the noticed that most of the security guards were fakes and they couldn't tell which were on their side.

"Oh, as much I would love to see a good action scene am not here for entertainment." The man finally spoke and his voice was very chilling. "I would suggest you all sit down heroes. Unless you all want the blood od innocent children to be on your hands." Then a projection of the children was shown causing the parents to yell in fright. "If you all don't move a muscle then everything will go smoothly."

"Sons of bitches." Minerva muttered as she looked around and so basically every guard was not on their side. "Fuck there's opps everywhere." She cursed and saw Jemima was utterly terrified.

"S-Suiw I should have never let her out of my sight!" She cursed herself of basically letting her daughter and new friend's nephew walk into a death trap. She felt soft hands on hers and so Minerva giving a reassuring smile even though she was just as stressed as she was on what will happened to her kid.

"Who are you!" Grey Hippo snared at the figure.

"Oh, I am isn't important but you came bearing a message from Kujitenga." When he said that everyone's eyes widen. "Us true Bantu will not sit by and let our country suffer and continue to and be denied what truly belongs to it. We will no longer keep silent as we watch our mother land become a shell of its glory. Starting from today we take a stand and fight the oppressing government of Nyasaland full force!" He made his speech and some fake guards cheered.

"YOU TERRORISTS WANT GET AWAY WITH THIS THE HEROES WILL STOP YOU!!" A man in a traditional robe yelled but it turned out to be a bad idea as he was shot in the head without mercy. This caused people to scream as the man lied there lifeless.

"Let that be a warning to anyone how dares to challenge us. They will be eliminated." He then disappeared.

Minerva looked at the scene before her and sighed she felt Jemima move closer to her and bury her head on her shoulders silently crying. She wondered where Mr. Sosala was in this mess his wife needed to be comforted by him not her. There was a crushing sound and the building rumbled for a bit and Minerva's whiskers began to twitch.

'Those sons of bitches kidnapped my baby!' She thought as she sneered than the fake guards throw smoke grenades to the ground but she held her breath.

The villains seemed to have underestimated the heroes as Ceramic used his clay hands to make a make shift mask covering in his nose to mouth. He then used this clay arms to capture three assailants who were close by. Grey Hippo having the ability to hold his breath for long periods of time and a little enhanced even due to his size he managed to bring down two others. The rest seemed to have escaped and the heroes hired quickly left to search for any of there where abouts while others stayed to help interrogate the villains dressed as fake guards.

"Jemima!" Mutale ran to his wife which she quickly ran into his arms and embraced him. "Its okay dear its all over now." He whispered in her ear comforting her.

"Mr. Sosala, they kidnapped the kids." One off the heroes came by and told him after they did a search.

"What!" He yelled trying to keep as calm as he could but failing while Jemima looked was skipping a few beats at the thought of her daughter getting kidnapped.

"Don't worry sir they couldn't have gotten far plus we have four captured so we might easily know there were abouts." The statement made by the hero at least calmed him down a little but not so much for Jemima.

"Don't worry my love am sure the heroes will do ever thing they can to find our daughter and the other kids too." He said and she was getting her breathing under control.

"Minerva I-Minerva where did she go!?" She looked around for the cheetah woman but he seemed to have disappeared. She knows that she wasn't adducted like the children because once the smoke cleared, she was still on her shoulder before going to Mutale.

Outside

Minerva walked was and saw the room which they busted to kidnap the children and she had to give it to them they knew who to hide their tracks well as she saw no tire tracks or couldn't get the scent of the vehicles. But she can track the scent of her nephew and even though he was far away and it was beyond her limit it will get stronger as she gets closer. She could wait for the heroes and police but that would waste too much time as Kujitenga were known for disappearing.

"Shouldn't have taken my kid you bustards." She growled as and her voice got deeper and her features become more cheetah like and grew and little taller. Her eyes were full of blood lust and took off in a huge burst of speed following her nephew's scent.

She zoomed through the city avoiding any obstacles in her way with no difficulty but she was surprised they got that far even with the traffic she was currently going past here.

'Wait there wasn't this much traffic. It can't just happen out of now where' She thought and then came to a stop and looked around not minding the people staring at her. She wasn't picking up on his scent much due to the excess scents in the air carbon monoxide, food, nicotine, women perfume etc. "Fuck!" she then ran up a building to get a better view with her enhanced eyes.

Then she got a slight whiff of him and immediately began jumping form building to building at high speeds getting closer but than she ran out buildings to parkour and was back on the main road and out of the city.

"Shit there already in the woods!"

 With Chimwemwe

He woke up again but this time he didn't make a sound even though his face especially his cheek bone hurt. He opened his eyes slightly and saw there were some men sitting on the army vehicle chairs talking to themselves while the kids were piled up sleeping on the floor. He saw Suiw just beside him.

'Fuck man what can I do in this situation. These guys looked somewhat trained I can't even overpower one of them even if I had a strength quirk and even if I had one, there is still an issue of being out numbered and literally out gunned.' He thought in frustration.

He thought of taking of his gloves and causing a discharge in the vehicle but there is a chance that it will cause a crush accidentally leave most of them critical condition. He noticed the children began to wake up.

"W-wait w-where we?" A girl asked with tears in her eyes.

"I want my mommy and daddy!" A boy cried. And the others who woke up began to panic and cry as well. The men began to annoyed at the predicament.

"SHUTP UP YOU LITTLE SHITS!!" One of them yelled and raised his gun making them all scream. "I SAID SHUT UP!!" That got them to silence even thought they were still scared. Suiw began to wake up and like the others she was confused and scared where she was but one thing caught her attention.

"CHIMWEMWE!!" She screamed at the sight of her friend on the floor and bleeding on his right cheek but she didn't know he was pretending to still be out cold.

"Great just when the others just kept quiet." Another one of the men sighed at the scene.

Suiw just looked at the men around her not knowing what to do she did know where they were taking them and all she could do was hold on to her friend hoping for a miracle.

"Aw look at the little girl holding her boyfriend." One of the terrorists said mockingly. "Don't worry little girl we-..."

"STAY AWAY!!" She yelled and subconsciously made a small crystal out of the air and shot the man in the eye stabbing it.

"FUCK YOU LITTLE BITCH!!" He yelled holding the place his left eye used to be bleeding heavily. This surprised the men and the children screamed and some fainted at the violent scene.

"Damn didn't see that coming!" Another exclaimed. The goon who was shot grabbed Suiw harshly scaring the poor girl. "She got you good huh!" He than laughed at his comrade's injury.

"YOU'VE DONE IT YOU LITTLE BITCH I HOPE…!!"

BIRI!! BIRI!!

An electric sound was then heard coming from Chimwemwe which shocked the man's leg and let Suiw go. Before the men could actually react by putting him down, he made his electricity travel through the military vehicle all the way to the battery short circuiting it causing a small explosion in the bonnet making the driver stop. This caused the men to hold down Chimwemwe and Suiw roughly.

"You know what guys for get this let's show these kids what happens when you want to play hero at the wrong times." The bleeding man said taking out his gun ready to shot both Chimwemwe and Suiw.

'DAMMIT I DIDN'T THINK THAT THROUGH AND BECAUSE OF ME SUWI AND I ARE GOING TO DIE HERE!!' Chimwemwe thought in pure fear as he was about to release his electricity as a last-ditch effort but before than here was scream from the driver.

 "WHAT NOWWAH!!" The bleeding screamed as a furry tore through the roof and grabbed him in extreme speed. The men started shooting at the roof trying to hit whatever it was.

 "You two stay here and watch the kids the rest of us will at care what ever that was!" Some men than got out leaving the two which were holding down Chimwemwe and Suiw.

Outside five men were searching around for their new enemy their guns ready to fire at anything which moves. The road they were currently on was surrounded by trees so whatever it was it used the trees as cover. One of the men had a quirk which let him have infrared vision but so it was useful in when they didn't have night vision goggles. There was a blur movement and two men were clawed in the face making them fall to the ground a clutch their faces in pain.

"WHAT THE FUCK!!" The infrared man yelled in fear as the other two gulped and steeled their nerves. The figure was that of a large shadow cat animal which stalked them like prey and even when it moved its feet didn't produce much sound giving it an ire vibe as one couldn't tell if it was about to strike. The infrared man could see the animal clearly and he could tell it was a woman with a cheetah quirk but it didn't make it any better. It was Minerva

He pointed his gun at it and began to shot like crazy and the others followed suit, but the Minerva continued to dodge everyone of their bullets. Before for they could blink, she was behind the infrared man and gave him a slash to the neck making drop to the floor. Before the two could do anything, she snatched their guns from them.

"Don't worry I didn't kill your friends but by the time am done with you all death we be something you all will wish for." Her voice was deep and seductive but this elevated the men to step back in fear.

Back in the vehicle

All the two remaining men heard were their comrades screams of fear and pain. This got them panic and they began thinking of an escape plan.

'I can't miss this chance!' Chimwemwe thought as in his mind he thought a hero might have found them and is saving them so he decided to act fast. The two men quickly noticed he was about to try something but they were not fast shooters and Chimwemwe hit them with high volts of electricity trying his hardest not to let flare out of control and hit the children.

The two were paralyzed on the spot and twitching bad but even though he was drained from both the electrical out put and the amount of control needed for that stunts he pulled in this predicament he still had enough juice for one more. Before he could unleash more a blur came into the vehicle and punched the two men so hard, they went smashing out of the vehicle. Minerva's appearance scared the children and Suiw buried her face in Chimwemwe's neck while he just looked are in shock.

"A-Auntie?" He asked make sure as he barely recognized her in the state she was in.

"Hey Chicky." She said awkwardly silently scolding at herself for basically traumatizing her nephew and the other children especially with the blood of the terrorists on her claws and mouth.
