PAGE 11: BATTLE TRIALS (2)

Seeing his students arrive, all might had his ever present smile. He looked at Kazuya and thought 'the boy sure has grown' before he complimented the students by saying "everyone is looking good!!" He continued by saying "now then let's begin-" but he was interrupted by Tenya Ida who asked "Sir all might, this is the same field we used for the entrance exam, shall we be fighting robots this time?" All might made a V-sign with his fingers as he said "no, we'll be fighting against villains. Most of the time, fight against villains are seen to take place in the street but the real fights take place in the dark" he paused before continuing "house arrest, imprisonment, hidden businesses… in this hero saturated society, truly smart villains hide in the dark. Today, you'll be paired and divided into a team of two: 'heroes' and 'villains' and you'll go on to fight inside one of those buildings, in a two vs. two, fight!" Hearing his word, Tsuyu Asui asked "will we be paired randomly?" All might nodded to this as he said "most of the time, you don't get to choose your partner in such crucial missions so you'll be learning how to fight with someone you don't know too well." He then briefed them by saying "the situation is: the villains are hidden in the building with a bomb, the heroes' job is to either defeat the villains or deactivate the bomb, all this is to be done before the time is elapsed. The villains are to do the opposite; protect the bomb or capture the heroes" he concluded this by showing them a yellow box and said "now let fate decide your partner!" The students went on to draw loots and when everyone had drawn, the teams were as such

Team A: Izuku Midoriya and Ochaco Uraraka (heroes) vs. Team E: Katsuki Bakugo and Tenya Ida (villains)

Team B: Momo Yaoyorozu and Mashirao Ojiro (heroes) vs. Team S: Kyouka Jirou and Denki Kaminari (villains)

...

...

...

Team C: Shoto Todoroki and Mezo Shoji (heroes) vs. Kazuya Mitsui and Eijiro Kirishima (villains) …

Seeing the matchups, Kazuya couldn't help but look at Todoroki as he contemplated 'I think his quirk is ice? I don't really know but this is a good opportunity to test myself' with that out of the way, the first match began.

It was Izuku Midoriya and Ochaco Uraraka vs. Katsuki Bakugo and Tenya Ida, the battle was more of a grudge match between Katsuki and Midoriya, as Katsuki was pissed at the fact he didn't know of Midoriya's quirk. The match soon came to an end as Midoriya sacrificed his right hand as he used his quirk to punch through the ceiling; the air pressure gave Uraraka and opportunity to use her quirk as she floated to the bomb and touched it thus granting her team a victory.

Kazuya who watched all this had a frown on his face as he tried to figure out Midoriya's quirk 'what's this guy's quirk, a super strength quirk that enables him to release massive damage but he has to sacrifice something to activate this?' But he decided to keep to himself as he watched the following matches.

Time flied and it was finally time for his match against Todoroki, so he walked up to his partner and said "hi there, Kirishima-san" Kirishima hearing his name put on a smile and said "oh hi Kazuya-san, seems we're partners in this match" Kazuya nodded and then said "well let's move to the job site" Kirishima got the joke and laughed a little before following him to the building.

Arriving in front the bomb, Kazuya took a deep breath and muttered "let's do this" he then said to Kirishima "you'll be in-charge of protecting the bomb while I'll try to capture the enemies, I made this decision based on our quirks and I hope you don't have a problem with it" Kirishima shook his head as he thought 'he already planned everything out, so manly'

Seconds later, the buzzer sounded and Todoroki followed by Mezo got closer to the building and Todoroki said "I plan to end this in one strike" with those words, he placed his hand on the wall and activated his quirk. Immediately, the building began freezing as ice covered it, it soon reached the floor on which Kazuya was and he was surprised when he saw it but his mind raced at an accelerating speed as he concluded 'he plans to freeze us so as to make us forfeit' understanding this, he immediately holds Kirishima by the hand as he floats a little above the ground thus saving the matchup. He then landed back to the ground as he noticed, the on-assault had stopped and as he did, he immediately charged to the stairs and muttered "Almighty push" as those words left his mouth, strong air pressure broke through the ice as it raced to Todoroki and Mezo and was strong enough to push them out of the building.

Seeing this, Todoroki understood his plan had failed so he paused for a moment to think and he came to a conclusion "a frontal assault will be perfect" as he said that, he tapped his feet slightly on the ground and out of it came a massive ice pillar which pierced right through the building, this attack drained a lot of Todoroki's stamina as he could be seen huffing as he held his right hand which seemed to be freezing slightly. But he ignored this as he looked at the pillar which had just pierced through the building and a small smile formed on his face but it soon turned into a grimace as the ice was shattered to pieces. Ice fragments began raining on Todoroki and Mezo, Mezo used his dupli-arms to protect himself while Todoroki made an ice wall. After a while the rain stopped and they both looked up just to see Kazuya in the sky with his emotionless face (got into the villain character), who said to them "I admire your efforts but they're futile against me, I'll give you a choice; give up now or I'll make you" Todoroki and Mezo thought for a moment and realized they didn't have much of a choice. They then glanced at each other and after a while both nodded as Todoroki said "give up? Don't make me laugh, why would I give up?" Kazuya sighed when he heard this and said "guess I'll have to make you" he outstretched his left hand and said "attraction (heavenly pull)" both Todoroki and Mezo felt themselves being pulled towards Kazuya; they tried resisting but to no avail. Understanding that his doom was inevitable, Todoroki decided to fire one last pillar at him. Seeing his efforts, Kazuya smiled and said "you tried your best but I'll be ending the match now, almighty push" with those last words, Todoroki, Mezo and the ice pillar were pushed to the ground by an unexplainably strong force which caused them to faint (ice pillar ain't a person)[The Heroes have been incapacitated, the villains win] as they did, all might announced the result through the speakers, Kazuya was contented with this as he headed to Kirishima and said "good job, Kirishima-san" Kirishima smiled and said "no need for the honorifics, just call me Kirishima and boy were you manly" Kazuya slightly chuckled when he heard this and he said "you were more manly" after saying that they talked a little as they left the training grounds and into the viewing room.
