Finally!

"Finally!"

I say this under a waterfall, sitting in a meditative position. It's been a whole year from the time where I asked my father about my resistance suit. But now this is not important.

"Finally I can feel all my body!" Yes! It's been a long road. If you count the time before I was 8 it has been 6 whole years of meditation to be capable of feeling my body's functions. 2190 days of dedication. At least 10 hours of training per day making it 21.900 hours of work.

" And its just the beginning!" I stopped my elation and started reminiscing about the year that have passed, I have killed a person this past year for the first time. I still remember the day like it was yesterday…

(Flashback no jutsu! Warning there's mention of a fucked up scene happening, you've been warned.)

Sekizan was running like he always does, it's been six months since he got his suit. The runs now are aways a battle to complete, he puts his resistance in a way that to move he has to put all his focus and concentration in moving his muscles in the most efficient way.

This time he is running to a more sketchy part of Town compared with the place he normally runs. This is totally unavoidable as he knows the roofs of that place by heart, so the obstacles are not a challenge to him anymore. As he is running he hears a cry for help and shuffling of things.

Having been beating villains for a while now he is not surprised anymore. He knows that the world is a dangerous place. So he goes in the direction of the sound.

The place, different of the places where he's normally encounter crime is a house. He does not know if it's good to invade a house like this, he never did so before. But thinking of the cry he heard earlier he decides that the risks are worth the trouble. The tone of the voice was a tone he never heard before.

Before entering the house he ease up his resistance suit to a lighter load. And with noiseless steps he approached the room with the shuffling noise slowly. He did not know why but he had a bad feeling about the situation. And he was sure that was not danger that he was feeling. After all the time he fought against dangerous martial artists, he developed a sixth sense for danger. And this was not danger. It was almost as if he felt that if he cross that bedroom door he will see something that he will not forget for the rest of his life.

But even with this, he powered through with confident steps. Never he feared the unknown before, he was not gonna start now. Opening the door silently he look into the room.

And then he saw it. He saw a monster.

A man was above a child with no clothes. The kid was expressionless, with tear marks running on her face. The bed was shuffling and making noises. And the man was grunting.

The next few moments was a bit confusing. When he regained his bearings he was with the kid by his side covered with a blanket, and the monster was on the ground with dozens of holes in his chest and neck.

His legs was broken up as if he crashed from a high place, and the side of his face was like someone swung a bat at him.

Sekizan was in shock.

'what just happened!?' He just remember feeling rage, and in the next second the kid was by his side covered and unconscious. The only thing that he feel now it's unspeakable pain in all of the muscles of his legs as if someone just stab his legs multiple times with a blunt knife. But he made no sound.

He took a look at the child by his side and saw the tear marks one her face. He felt sadness and regret. Maybe if he came earlier she would not have to experience such a thing.

And then he looked at the direction of the monster in human skin that he ended up killing. Never in his life had he have the urge to kill a person. Even on the villains that he encountered on his occasional runs. He aways just tested his techniques on them. Maybe they had a family or were doing this by mistake. Human beings commit mistakes sometimes.

But this… he knew that evil existed in the world, he occasionally hears of such cases on the tv in passing. But to see such a thing was a wake up call to him. There are monsters out there. And mercy to these type of people don't exist in his book.

He looked a the kid one last time and called in the police. Slowly after he walked away. This time making sound with his steps. His legs were in a rough condition now he's gonna have to call a cab to go home.

He climbed a building near the house with just his hands and observed the situation. He saw the girl being escorted out with a towel covering her face, saw as the ambulance recovered the body of the monster. He saw the expression of the policeman, the faces of disdain and disgust on their face said about how they will not investigate the cause of the death of such garbage.

He slowly but surely climbed down and called a cab. His instincts were right. He will never forget the image he saw. It's ingrained in his mind forever.

(End of flashback… what a sad segment, I felt sad writing this, but I had I cousin who was victim of abuse like that. She killed herself, and the monster that did that to her is alive in jail, so I think of what I would do in such situations.)

That day he swore to never doubt anymore. His doubt and hesitation were the cause of that girl misery. Having f*cked up his legs, he focused on his arms and passed the rest of the time meditating on the waterfall in the forest. The way his legs were it would take months to completely heal. So he focused on the only thing that would make him stronger that doesn't require movement. The Seimei Kikan. And finally, after all this time he finally felt it. The absolute control of his body.

He extended his hand and willed. The muscles and bones of his hand contracted in a way that made his nails stand out. His nails grew and thickened in seconds resembling animal claws. He swiped at a rock by his side and saw as claw marks cut is the stone.

He willed, and felt as adrenalin cursed through his veins, his skin began to redden and veins popped out of his body. But he soon stopped. He felt weak after stopping, having realized that this comes with a price. Nothing is created all is transformed. He need to study this ability properly, he can't use this as a crutch, he will use as a tool to progress.

' It begin now, with this I can repair my legs and continue with my training. And now I can accelerate the building of my muscles and tendons. Let's hope for the best ' Sekizan got up from the place he was seated and swam to the shore. He took the towel that was folded next to his clothes and begun to dry his wet body. He put his trousers on, but remained shirtless. You could see the tough and scarred skin on his hands as he put his clothes on. His feet are full of calluses as he ran barefooted most of the time, his knuckles as well having formed a darker spot where is common the strike the skin in those spots having the texture of hard leather. At the age of 10 Sekizan had a body of a martial artist, his hands and feet weapons to be used.

Having put his trousers he walks home to rest, his stride a bit unbalanced, showing that even after 6 months the damage in his legs did not completely heal. But in his stride not a ounce of shame or self pity could be seen. Just the confidence to go on.
