Chapter Twenty-five: Mirror Match

"Next up,Monoma V.s Tokiwa" Present Mic yelled as Tokwia was talking with Momo as he was called "well i'll be on my way," Tokiwa said as Momo grabbed the back of his shirt "h-hey,do your best out there,i'll be rooting for you" Momo said as she blushed "i get you,and don't worry,i don't intend on losing to anyone here" Tokiwa said as he walked from Recovery Gilrs station to the hallway leading to the arena "hey,you better not lose!" Bakugou said as Tokiwa smirked "I hear ya loud and clear" Tokiwa said as he walked onto the arena "look who finally decided to show up,were you too scared?" Monoma said as Tokiwa cracked his neck and hands "nope,just contemplating how bad i should beat you" Tokiwa said as Present Mic separated them due to the tension in the ring "don't you think he's being a little too cocky?" Mina asked as bryce answered "no,you can't see it but I can,he's determined to win. It's like he's radiating confidence and determination,not like mine but more figuratively" bryce said as Mic began the match "BEGIN!" Mic yelled as Tokiwa immediately jumped back to gain ground. "If i'm going to win,then i'll have to play it smart,if i can touch him once then i will have a guaranteed win" Monoma thought as Tokiwa dashed towards him "i won't have to use my quirk for this fight" Tokiwa said as he tried kicking Monoma in the face "there's my chance" Monoma thought as he tried to catch Tokiwa's leg "nope" Tokiwa sid as he glitched his leg through Monoma's head and dropped down to sweep his leg "huh? Did he just put his leg through my head?" Monoma thought as he snapped back to reality and jumped back again to avoid having his leg swept "you keep trying to grab me,and when you fail you just run,what's up with that? You were so cocky during the beginning but now you seem worried" Tokiwa said as he exhaled'' I thought you wanted to fight,but now this is just disappointing" Tokiwa said as he put his hands in his pockets, "he's mocking me! I'll get serious then!" Monoma thought as he rushed at Tokiwa "i'll let him get a few punches in just so i don't leave him embarrassed" Tokiwa thought as Monoma punched him square in the jaw. Monoma then threw a few more punches until Tokiwa caught his fist "hehe,feel good now,remember this,because those were the last hits you're going to land on me this entire match" Tokiwa said with a sinister smile. "Big talk for someone who's about to lose," Monoma said as he jumped back. "Still running i see-" Tokiwa said as he was thrown in the air by blue strings "THE HELL!" Tokiwa said as everyone was confused except class 1-B "Neito Monoma,he's a bit of a pompous asshole,but his quirk is no joke. His ability to copy other quirks with his own is terrifying,whenever he copies a quirk his body gives him a basic use of it," A boy with light purple hair said as we pan back over to the battle "this is annoying,a cheap copy!" Tokiwa thought as he glitched out of the strings and tried using his own to attack Monoma "what's wrong,do you not like the taste of your own medicine" Monoma mockingly said as Tokiwa smirked "lets see how much of my quirk you can really use" Tokiwa said as he used Lag Spike to teleport back to the ground and in front of Monoma "eat this!" Tokiwa said as he punched Monoma in the face,sending him sliding back to the edge of the ring "hmm,seems like you can only copy parts of my quirk can't you" Tokiwa said as Monoma wiped blood from his nose "doesn't matter,what matters is-" Monoma said as Tokiwa used his strings to wrap up Monoma "that won't work!" Monoma yelled as four large and thick blue strings were launched at Tokiwa "he's creative with the ways he uses the quirks he copies,he uses them in ways you wouldn't think of. That's what makes him dangerous at time" the boy said as Tokiwa jumped out of the way of these strings and tried thinking of an attack. "Who's running now?!" Monoma said as he freed himself from Tokiwa's strings "have some of this!" Monoma yelled as he laughed menichally "shit,i never thought he'd be able to press me like this,i know in terms of combat i can easily win,but i've never had to go up against my own quirk before,my strings are a very valuable asset so naturally they'd be hard to work around for any opponent" Tokiwa thought as Monoma launched out sharp and hard strings at Tokiwa "why is there rumbling?" Momo thought as she was recovering from her match with Jirou "don't worry yourself young one,you still need to rest,you'll be fully healed in a couple more minutes if you do" Recovery Girl said as Monoma is giving Tokiwa a hard time with his own strings. The sharp strings are barely visible but can cut through flesh like a knife through butter and the hard strings are easy to spot but if they wrap around you you won't be able to escape. "I need to think of something,I don't want to use too much energy,but if I want to win,then I'll need to finish this in one go" Tokiwa thought as he took a deep breath and activated his Glitch Blood Strings "urk! It still hurts to use them,I've trained with them a bit,but I guess not enough" Tokiwa thought as Monoma noticed a difference in Tokiwa's strings "whatever you can do,I CAN DO BETTER!" Monoma said as he tried activating his own version of Glitch Blood Strings "URK!" Monoma said as he fell to the ground in pain "what the hell is this! I-i can barely move!" Monoma said as Tokiwa noticed this and slowly walked towards him "you may have copied my quirk,but there are certain things you can't copy,like experience,the strain my blood strings put on my body is intense,not even i have fully mastered it yet,so what makes you think you'd just be able to use it willy nilly" tokiwa said as he took a deep breath "Blood String Art: Restrainment Web Cage'' Tokiwa said as his blood strings formed a spider web-like cage around Monoma "TOKIWA WINS!" Mic yelled as the crowd cheered louder than ever at the fight. "URK! How do you turn it off!? It hurts like hell!" Monoma yelled as the strings around him fell down and disappeared "just breathe and calm yourself,your body will naturally turn it off" tokiwa said as his strings went from red back to blue. Monoma did just that as the blood strings deactivated. Along with his quirk,as Monoma went back to his regular quirk. "Alright,let's get to our next battle,Kate V.s Tsu" Mic said
