122 Internship End

Me, my parents, Rumi, Momo and Edgeshot were in Eri's hospital room. She is getting discharged today.

"Ofiicial adoption done. Meet my daughter Eri Kodo." I said in a smug tone

My daughter. This was entirely unplanned and totally out of character for me. But her cuteness was overwhelming and I couldn't help myself.

"Y-you seriously did it?" Rumi stuttered

"How did you do this? It couldn't have been easy" Edgeshot asked in his stoic ninja tone

"I have enemies in high places"

...

They sweatdropped

"..Don't you mean friends?" Edgeshot raised his eyebrow

"Nope, enemies. Politicians don't have friends. They have enemies that are allies and that aren't allies"

"Which one are you?" Rumi crossed her arms as she glanced at Eri's bed

My parents were showering Eri with love. Their new granddaughter

"The kind that they don't want to mess with" I grin at her, not actually revealing anything

"How are you feeling Eri-chan" Momo comes over to her side

"Great~ I'm super happy!~I have a dad now!~" Eri smiled happily

" And grandparents" my mother hugged the little girl as she reminded her

"Well since everything here is in order. I will take my leave. After all I can't leave my city for too long. " Edgeshot looked at Momo who nodded, then left the room

"I will see you in a few days Sensei. It was good seeing you Mr and Mrs. Kodo" Momo did a small bow to my parents

"Oh, it was good to see you again Momo-chan. Please come over when you have the time. You barely stop by" My mother started to rant

"I will" Momo nodded at her and then gave me a quick hug before leaving. She nodded and smiled at Rumi

Rumi just stood there awkwardly for a few moments before nodding to herself.

"I'm going as well. It has been a long day. " Rimi tried to leave but Eri quickly stopped her

"Onee-san... Do you have to leave?" Eri said with her big tearful eyes.

Those things should be registered as weapons of mass destruction

"Ugh" Rumi looked like she was gut punched. She didn't know how to react. I decided to step in before things got out of hand

"Eri-chan. Rumi hasn't rested at all since we saved you. She needs to go home and sleep. Don't worry. You will see her tomorrow again" I put my hand on Eri's head and start to pat her. Calming the little girl down.

Eri looked at Rumi "Promise you will come?"

Rumi just smiled awkwardly. She went to Eri from the other side and stuck out her pinky finger "I promise. Pinky swear"

Eri giggled as her smaller pinky wrapped around Rumi's and they both shook on it

Soon Rumi left and the only ones that were still here were my parents

"So. Who wants ice cream?" I grin as I look at Eri

"I DO!~" She raised her hand as high as possible

Causing all of us to laugh.

Yeah. This was a good decision.

The next few days were boring. Momo went back with Edgeshot and I was with Rumi and Eri. Rumi decided to take a two-day break. She said she wasn't in the mood. We already stopped stain, she got blown up by a Nomu. And now we raided a yakuza compound. Frankly, we deserved the rest.

During the last two days of my internship. We all just spent time together. Eri worked her magic. Rumi started getting more comfortable around her. Eri's cuteness was too much for Rumi to handle.

But now it's time to get back to U.A.

I had loads of fun, teasing Rumi was my favorite pass time. Flirting with her as well. She gets riled up easily, then I just calm her down by flirting with her.

Ahh right. It's the final exams and the training camp after this.

Hmmm, wonder if they will let me fight at all?

Meh I'll figure it out later. I was standing outside her house. It was time for me to go.

"So the internship is finally over. You have been a pain just so you know" Rumi crossed her arms

"Come on~. Don't be such a tsundere. I know you enjoyed our banter" I grin at her cousin tic marks to appear on her forehead

I stop with the playful behavior and take a much more serious tone "I had fun Rumi. Thanks for the lovely week."

She seemed to deflate a bit, dropping her tough act. "You are welcome. I hope you learned at least something from me during this week. I'm supposed to be the mentor here"

"I did learn something, but not about Hero Work. I learned about your favorite food. Your favorite movie. Oh that you are emotional and cry on the 'sad scenes' Your puffy red eyes were so adorab-"

"Stop it!" Rumi punched me because she was so embarrassed

I dodged the punch and gently embraced her. Since she was shorter than me I leaned down a bit so that I was near the bottom of her ear

"I will come back every once in a while. I dont want you to feel lonely after all"

She snorted at my words but hugged me just a bit tighter "If you don't visit and bring Eri with you. I'll come and kick your ass. Wait you are stronger.. I'll tell Eri you bullied me"

"Low blow" I chuckle a bit

I pull back a bit to get a good look at her face. Our eyes locked. I leaned forward. Rumi had more than enough time to turn her head or push me away but she didn't. Both of us knew what was about to happen. We kissed. There wasn't any but it was a heated kiss in a way. Her lips were a lot softer than I expected.

We pulled back at the same time. I looked at her happy face and let out a big smile. She saw this and did te same.

Both of us knew this would change our relationship. It was already going in this direction. But this was intimate. Not like the stunt I pulled when she first met Kodo.

"I'll come by soon. I promise"

Rumi nodded, tiptoed, and gave me a short kiss.

I smile at her as I use Soru to disappear.

I made some major progress and I'm happy about it. Things are coming along nicely. My perfect life is within reach. Just a bit more, and I will achieve my dream.

(Ugh. I think it was a bit cringy.)

~ Back at U.A.

Sighh, back to school again. I already miss my time with Rumi. I was laying on my desk while trying to go to sleep. I was currently invisible. I really didn't want to deal with these people again.

Wonder if I can convince Nezu to just let me go take the Final exams early. I already got everything I needed from U.A

Eri is staying with my parents for now. Well, they were always under constant surveillance. I would know if a villain or some government spy got within 10 kilometers of them.

I practically own this city's camera security with how many backdoors I have installed for myself.

The class was talking about their experience. How Jiro helped with the evacuation.

Tsuyu fought with smugglers. Good for her.

But most of the discussions were about how I defeated Stain.

"Man that sword fight was Awesome!"

"Kodo.." Kirishima whipped a stray tear away " It was so freaking manly"

All I am hearing is 'OTOKO!'

He is practically the Elfman of this world.

Kaminari talks about the fight. How cool both Stain and I were. Before he realizes what a dick move it was.

Iida just calmly defused the situation. Boring. Wait did his brother die or not? I actually forgot. Meh it doesn't really matter. Useless information just gets deleted from my memories anyway.

Why should I care if some fat-ass politician married a model?

The loudspeakers turned on.

[The Hero Class will be held at Field Gamma. Everyone please take your hero costumes and head to Field Gamma]

~ Field Gamma.

We were in Field Gamma. A city made up of factories and pipes of all sizes.

Everybody was gathered in front of All Might

"All Might-sensei! Kodo isn't here~" Mina raised her arm. Momo just smirked. She already noticed me but decided not to spoil my fun

I turn of my invisibility, appearing behind here

"BOO!"

"KYAAA!!~" Mina jumped like a cat whose tail was stepped on. She wasn't the only one. The people around us flinched or jumped from the sup

Mina glared at me while holding her hand above her heart "You asshole! You almost gave me a heart attack."

"We have an Invisible Person in the class. You people should have anticipated something like this happening. "

If this happened during combat. She would have died.

"OK. Gather around everyone. Today we will be doing a Rescue Training Race. To see how much you all have improved."

... It's only been a week. You can't improve that much no matter how much you try. The only reason Deku improved is because he went from crawling to walking. Even though e was capable of walking from the start.

I tune back to his speech as soon as I saw him look at Bakugo

"Of course, you have to keep the damage to a minimum" he ended the sentence while pointing at Bakugo who scowled

"Don't point at me" he crossed his arms

The run went just about as expected.

Midoriya shows his improvement. It took him this long to realize to spread out the pressure across his body. Which should have been common sense.

I dominated. Just used Kamisori to appear next to AllMight seconds after the Race started. Scaring the old man.

The only thing that was surprising was that. Kirishima used Soru and Geppo. He still couldn't use them together to from Kamisori. But he was making excellent progress. It's kind of sad that the others still haven't even learned one Rokushiki.

Oh well their loss

It was lunchtime and All Might called Deku to join him.

AllMight reminds the fool that Stain took some of his blood. Which Deku had completely forgotten. Then he eased his worries as AFO can't be forcibly taken.

AllMight finally told Deku about All For One. I was wondering when he would do that. I understand why he didn't tell Deku. Hell I even support it. Deku would have probably pissed himself if he told him earlier.

But I would have done it in a way that would inspire fear in Deku. To make him train even harder. Like 'He might come after your mother, are you strong enough to protect her' or something like that

"It's ironic that justice always comes from evil"

I chuckle as I hear All Might's words. It was true in that situation.

But then what about me? I'm neither a hero nor a villain. I'm just a selfish person that wants to live a peaceful life of luxury.

I'm fine with tearing apart anything in my way. Good or Evil.

~ A few days later and everybody is panicking about their grades

They ask Momo for help but she turns them down. She said she spends most of her time training so she won't have the time.

Good choice. She has better things to do than to tutor them.

The Written test lasted 3 days Naturally I got first place. Momo Second. The rest don't matter.

But it was time for the Practical Exam. Students vs Teachers. I would never turn down an opportunity to beat up more Pro Heroes.

It sort of a hobby for me now.

We were in front of the entrance that lead to all the Zone's

The teachers just dropped the bomb on the students that they wouldn't be fighting robots but fighting them instead. Crushing the dreams of everyone who wanted an easy pass.

"Kodo you are excused. We dont need to see you beat another teacher. Instead, you will be facing principal Nezu in a battle of minds" Aizawa mumbled

And just as if they have practiced Nezu popped up out of nowhere

"I look forward to our match Kodo-san" Nezi said with a small polite smile. But I could tell that he was very excited to establish just how much smarter than me he is.

A battle of minds against one of the smartest people on the planet. Interesting.
