Unexpected

- Habaki POV -

Underwhelming, that was all that could be said for what had just happened. I looked on completely perplexed at the teen standing in the middle of the circle with a horrified look on his face. 46 meters was all the ball had managed to reach. Even without a quirk that was still under the average for their age group. I shook my head. You would have thought that he had spent a bit of time training, he had applied to a hero school, and he didn't seem to use his quirk, so that should have been even more motivation for him.

In my own thoughts, I had missed the lecture that Aizawa was giving Midoriya. Only when the green haired boy shouted out that Aizawa was Eraserhead did I focus back on them. Apparently he could render peoples quirks useless by looking at them. That might just be the biggest middle finger of a quirk I had ever heard of.

But that had explained the lack of distance that Midoriya had been able to get on his throw. He had relied more on his quirk than his own strength. Looking at the two they were now almost face to face, Aizawa talking only to Midoriya so it was hard to hear what he really said, but something about broken bones had I been able to pick up.

When Aizawa had finished, he seemed to let Midoriya try again, this time warning him about using his quirk. Jeez, what kind of quirk did this guy have to be warned against using it. Midoriya looked defiant but had gotten back in the circle. This time when he threw his arm back no glow came from it, until the last second just before he let go where a tiny glow could be seen on the tip of his finger.

The ball blasted off his hand and flew out in the distance. When he stood up he looked directly at Aizawa pointing out his finger to him. It had been completely broken. He had said something along the lines about him still standing, but at that moment Bakugo had suddenly rushed forward towards Midoriya screaming, only to be stopped by Aizawas scarf. Well there was definitely bad blood between Bakugo and Midoriya.

When all had completed the ball throw Aizawa pulled up a screen with our test results.

1. Momo Yaoyorozu

2. Shoto Todoroki

3. Habaki Takahashi

Pretty good result if I had to say so myself, and it came as no surprise to me that Izuku Midoriya was number 20.

''Oh yeah, I was lying about one of you getting expelled. It was just deception to make you use your quirks to your limits.''

It was so quiet that you could hear a needle drop to the ground, until Yaoyorozu broke the silence.

''Of course it was a lie, if you just thought about it rationally it should have been obvious.''

''Well go back to the classroom, there should be handouts of the curriculum.'' And with that Aizawa left.

Walking back towards the classroom, I had been joined by Kirishima and Kaminari.

''How did you like the tests?'' I asked openly.

''There were manly as expected from U.A, but I'm always up for a challenge.'' Kirishima answered brazenly.

''They were quite nerve-racking when Aizawa-sensei said that one of us would be expelled.'' Denki said. ''Anyways you told me that after we had finished you would say what you did.'' He now focused his attention on me.

''Guess I did, well what I did was use my quirk.'' I looked at him with a straight face.

''Eh? Not gonna tell me anymore.'' He said with a disappointed sigh.

Kirishima grinned at me, ''Come on, just tell him, we are going to be working together for the next 3 years.''

I smirked a bit at that statement. ''Fine,'' looking at Denki I continued, ''My quirk is called Wind Breathing, it allows me to manipulate the wind inside my body and release it, but as you can see I use a sword, that is because i can't withstand the force of it, if I release it directly from my body.'' I tapped the sword at my side.

''Cool, my quirks allows me to generate and release electricity.'' I had guessed it had to be something like that. I had seen it in use at the ball throw test, if that wasn't enough his yellow hair with the black streak that resembled a lightning bolt gave it away.

When we had gotten back to the classroom, a paper laid on each of our tables with the curriculum on it. This was all we had for today, which meant that this might just have been the shortest first day of my entire life. Walking out of the gates of U.A, Kirishima and I said goodbye to Denki.

Walking towards the train we discussed, what U.A had in store for us. Kirishima was convinced that we had to battle more robots, I was a bit sceptical of that, I thought that they would have us do more real life scenarios. But we could agree on one thing, that the next couple of years certainly weren't going to be boring.

He's back, maybe, probably. It's been a long time since I've last published anything, there are different reason, which are too long to write down, could maybe take up a whole chapter itself. I think I will publish more chapters in the coming future we'll see what happens. This wasn't the longest chapter, but it was what I had time to do, hope you'll still enjoy it :D

And with that have a good day, evening, night or whenever you are seeing this.
