New beginnings

- Unknown POV -

The fact was, I had been reincarnated. It could the only explanation to my current situation. I was currently in the midst of being pushed out of a woman who most definitely was my new mother. I had accepted death a long time ago ever since I was diagnosed with lung cancer. I had been a healthy young man training gymnastics hoping to make it on to the american national team. It had been my dream representing my country at the Olympics, however that dream shattered as I had been diagnosed with lung cancer at the ripe age of 16.

I was training when suddenly i started coughing up blood. I was rushed to the hospital where they had found cancerous cells in my lung tissue. The bad news didn't stop as the doctors also told me the cells were malignant. I hadn't known what that meant, so one of the doctors explained that it meant that the cells grew rapidly and spread throughout my body. It had been a very depressing day, both my father and older sister were by my side comforting me at the end of the day. My mother would have been there for my if it wasn't for the fact that she had died when i was 2 years old. I had no recollection of her, but still dying without being able to remember who had cared for you the first 2 years, was a really disheartening thought.

Before the doctors could remove the cancer cells from my lungs, things took a turn for the worse again. The cancer had spread to my brain. I can't really remember much from my time at the hospital after the cancer had spread to my brain. I just know that I had been in a very weakened state and that i felt sick all the time. One day I could feel a different sensation wash over me.

Everything around me started to darken, I could hear a slow beep from a machine beside me. My father had rushed up to me and hit a button at the side of my bed. I hadn't know what it meant but that hadn't meant anything to me at that moment. I looked up at my fathers face, tears streaming down his face. It shouldn't be allowed for parents to see their children die before them, I had thought as I had laid there. The last words I had been able to mutter out before everything went black was ''I love you''. It was then I died at the age of 17 years old only 3 months after being diagnosed with cancer.

And that leads to my current situation. I thought I could accept death with a smile as it was inevitable but as the reality set in that i would never see my father and sister again, I did the only thing I could in my current state. I cried. At the same moment I was pushed out of my mother and wrapped around a towel. The doctor who held me gave me to my now new mother. Everything was a blur for my newborn eyes but still the soothing sensation that came from my new mother helped me calm down.

I tried to look into her eyes but still it was all pretty blurry which was to be expected. I tried to listen to what she said, but i didn't understand a thing. And then it hit me, I wasn't in USA no more. I didn't know what she said the but from the tone and the little language i had heard when I was alive in my previous life, I deduced that I was in a part of Asia.

With all that had happened I tried to go to sleep, but before that could happen, I was picked up from my mother who was still laying in the bed. The person who picked me up was tall, or at least I thought he was. Yes, this was probably my new father and with a pang of sadness I looked into his eyes.

He said something to me that I didn't understand and even though everything was still blurry being in such close proximity I could make out his dark red eyes looking at me with kindness and love. I couldn't take anymore and so a drowsy feeling came over me as i closed my eyes while my tiny body was held by my new family.

This was a short introduction chapter of our mc. My first language isn't english so apologies if there is a mistake in the grammar or the words. Very welcome to leave feedback on how i can improve as this is my very first story.
