29 Chapter 29 - Ryuji

"A little more to the left, Anwir-san." A man holding a large camera requested in a respectful tone.

In front of the man, a teenager with an athletic physique packed with roaring muscles inched a little to the left and continued to pose for the camera. His golden eyes stared at the lens of the camera with an intensity that could captivate anyone who looked at him, and his luscious black hair shimmered under the direct light placed around him.

With a press of a button, a loud shutter was heard and the cameraman turned to look at the image that was captured.

"You really are a great model, Anwir-san." The cameraman laughed heartily as he admired the perfect body of the teenager named Anwir. "It's perfect as always."

"Thanks for the compliments, Buki-san." The boy chuckled and took off his clothes. Then, giving them back to Buki's assistant, he puts on his original clothes consisting of a simple white shirt and black sweatpants.

He approached the cameraman and stared at his picture, smiling wryly in response as he muttered with a sigh, "It's indeed strange that I'm a model now. Who would have thought that Ryuji Anwir, a student of Glory Academy, would now be a model in Japan."

"Hehehe, many of the other models I know felt the same at first, but you'll get used to it." Buki patted Ryuji on the shoulder and continued, "Your paycheck's already been sent to your account, so you don't need to worry about that."

"Thank you, Buki-san. This journey wouldn't have been so smooth without you." Ryuji rubbed the back of his head and bowed to show his gratitude. "Besides that, when's the next photoshoot?"

"Hmm, according to Go-san, it should be around next week Friday."

"I see." Ryuji nodded his head.

"Well, I'll be on my way then!"

"Safe travels! You better get home early. You don't want to be faced with a villain now, right?" Buki warned.

In response to his worries, Ryuji chuckled and responded with a mysterious grin, "Those villains should instead be wary of me. You might not believe it, but I'm a pretty strong guy."

"Enough with the bragging and go home already, you little punk!" Buki rolled his eyes.

"Yes, yes." Ryuji waved his arm and turned around to walk away.

He walked out of the studio and rubbed his hair. A soft breeze greeted him and caused his shirt to flutter with the wind. He smirked, taking a deep breath of the fresh air of the outside world.

'Japan's such a cool place.' He lifted his head up and stared at the blue sky above with clouds appearing from time to time. 'Of course, that's only true if you ignored some of its culture and tradition that makes it oppressive to common folks that are not heroes and instead have traditional jobs.'

'Although this place is still a lot better compared to the one back on my Earth.' Ryuji shook his head and went on to walk to his destination.

'The food back at home is running out already so I need to make a quick trip to the grocery and buy some stuff.' Dolian rubbed his chin. 'I should also buy more clothes, help expand Hidden Order's power by mind fucking some of Japan's politicians and pro heroes, and other shit like that.'

'Ugh, so much stuff to do as the leader of some hidden organization.' Ryuji shook his head and was about to head over to the grocery to buy food when he heard a loud explosion echo out from the distance.

"Hmm?" Ryuji moved his gaze to the pillar of smoke rising in the distance, and his interest was immediately grabbed by it. "Is it a villain attack?"

'Maybe I can go grab that villain and make him a subordinate?' Ryuji wondered as he ran forward with inhumane speed to the point that he left afterimages behind him.

Running through the crowd of people that ignored him entirely, he swiftly arrived at where the explosion occurred and saw a large crowd had already gathered around the source of the explosion.

He deactivated his quirk and allowed his level of presence to return to normal and approached the large crowd. Arriving at the very back, he stood on the tip of his toes to see what was happening at the front and saw the scene.

Inside an alleyway covered in raging flames, a couple of heroes stood in front of the crowd to defend them against the living mass of sludge. The villain stared tauntingly at the heroes as his mouth turned into a wide grin. On his face, a head of spiky blond hair poked out like a sore thumb.

Unknowingly, a boy soon arrived beside him with a head of messy green hair. He held a charred notebook in his hand, and he stared at the villain with a surprised and worried gaze.

"Why aren't the heroes doing anything?"

"They can't. Apparently, the villain caught a junior high schooler and kept them hostage. It's been like that for a while."

'Caught, eh?' Ryuji stared at the villain in the distance with squinted eyes while he habitually activated his quirk to connect his mind with the others around him.

'Caught?'

'It's been like that for a while?'

'How can they bear that suffocation?'

'I thought I'd die after a few seconds. Wow…' The boy with a head of green hair beside him covered his mouth as if holding back the urge to puke and gag.

'Huh, so this kid got abducted by that sludge guy too?' Ryuji chuckled inwardly as his mind constantly rang with the countless array of thoughts from the crowd around him.

"Anyways, wasn't that the villain All Might was chasing earlier?"

"All Might? No way! He's here?"

"I think I saw him earlier!"

"Seriously?! Then what's All Might doing?"

As the crowd turned more rowdy with this revelation, the boy beside him shook more and more as his eyes dilated in fear.

'It's my fault… He can't do anything.'

'He can't catch that guy. All we can do is wait for a hero with a more suitable quirk!'

"What the fuck is he talking about?" Ryuji muttered under his breath and made sure to not stare at the kid unless he wants to incur suspicion for himself.

'Someone… A hero will soon…'

The fire raged on in the background as the person inside the sludge villain struggled. The head of spiky blond hair managed to escape its restraints for a bit, and a familiar face presented itself to the boy.

'Katsuki?!' The boy widened his eyes as his thoughts turned blank. As if his body moved on instinct, he rushed forward through the heroes and thick flames and arrived at the sludge villain.

Staring at the young boy clawing wildly at the mass of goo, Ryuji's eyes turned dull as he almost shook his head in disappointment. 'What a hero wannabe loser. Then what? All Might would appear and save the day? Just fucking die already if you wanna sacrifice yourself so much for that Katsuki guy or whoever he is.'

Rolling his eyes, Ryuji was about to leave when a sudden influx of memories flashed in his mind. 'A FUCKING FLASHBACK?!'

'THIS GUY IS HAVING A FLASHBACK RIGHT NOW?!' Ryuji stepped back in sheer disbelief at the situation, when all of a sudden, through the dust and smoke, All Might appeared.

"DETROIT! SMASH!" Fierce winds exploded out all of a sudden as the twist of events left Ryuji shocked out of his mind. It was so stupid that he almost felt like it was a scene straight out of an anime instead of reality.

'Where the fuck did All Might come from?!' Ryuji shook his head and was about to finally leave when his eyes landed on a certain piece of rubble with blood coating it… blood that belonged to a certain hero. 'No way…'

'NO FUCKING WAY!' Ryuji rushed forward at immense speeds through the crowd and landed beside the rock. Ignored by everyone else, including All Might himself, he carefully collected the blood sample and stared at it like it was a priceless treasure.

'Even though quirks are a manifestation of our origins, they are still deeply connected with genetics, and we've already achieved preliminary results regarding multiple quirks on the same body by implanting quirk factors and reverse engineering them through DNA samples. Of course, this would cause a burden on the soul as quirks are perfectly crafted for one's Origin and body.'

The flesh underneath his body squirmed as a black cloak quickly formed around his body within seconds, just in time for the rain that started to rage on from All Might's powerful fists.

'But regardless, All Might is on par with the likes of Star and Stripes! Even I don't have a single blood cell of that reality-breaking hero.' Ryuji activated his quirk, and as his thoughts were transmitted through space, a portal opened up below him as he disappeared amidst the falling rain.

Falling through the portal, Ryuji arrives inside a certain laboratory where groups of researchers greeted his view. They all wore white lab coats and they all looked like professionals. High-tech equipment that was at the bleeding edge of technological advancement in this world was scattered everywhere in the room, giving the place a lively and sci-fi feel to it.

Upon arrival, all the researchers present stood up with their backs straight and shouted in unison, "Welcome back, Leader!"

Ryuji nodded his head and walked up to a random man beside him. As someone who was essentially a master of the mind, Ryuji's ability to meddle with memories and brains has reached an unparalleled that could simply be described as terrifying.

Memories, experiences, and personalities, they can be copied from one body to another and he could practically create clones of the same person with ease.

Not only that, but he can even artificially raise the intelligence of one being to the extreme, pushing them closer to the level of an AI instead of a normal human. Coupled with his ability to create a hivemind-like system, all of his researchers were basically the same person with the same AI-like brain with the corresponding memories and experiences.

In a way, he managed to create a human hivemind whose calculative prowess rivals numerous quantum computers with ease.

"This is All Might's blood." Ryuji passed on the vial of blood to the random researcher.

"Should we proceed as usual?" They asked as they stored the vial of blood in a safe container.

"Mmm." Ryuji nodded his head and, with a snap of his finger, opened a portal behind him while the hivemind's memories were once again altered to remove all of his possible traces.

'One can't be too careful now, right? Who knows, maybe someone out there can read the memories of my hivemind researchers or any of Hidden Order's pawns. I need to make sure to prepare as much as possible for any possible threats that can pop up.'

Ryuji walked out of the grocery and held multiple plastic bags in hand as he wore a grin on his face. Why wouldn't he be happy? Not only did he manage to earn more money for his personal life, something that he needs to do to make sure all of his money is clean and safe and does not originate from an unknown source which could jeopardize his safety, but he also managed to nab some of All Might's blood which could potentially be a groundbreaking catalyst for Hidden Order.

Habitually activating his quirk to lower his presence to the point that he became psychologically invisible to the others around him, Ryuji turned a street and whistled a tune when he saw something shocking.

"You… can become a hero."

A boy kneeled down on the ground, crying his eyes out as Ryuji stared at them with confusion in his eyes. 'It's that guy again! And who is that dude-'

Like touching a hot stove, Ryuji read the minds of the two in front of him and he was hit with that flashback scene once more.

'THAT DUDE IS ALL MIGHT?! AND HE'S PLANNING TO GIVE HIS QUIRK TO THAT QUIRKLESS DUNCE?!'

'WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!'

AN: This chapter has 2054 words.

A bit rushed and less detailed, but I was way too exhausted after writing Chapter 28 so fuck you. And future author here, I'm also tired as hell from editing Chapter 28 so you can whine about it.

Besides the mediocre writing quality, we're in JAPAN, baby! What? You expected me to make the main cast travel to America or do other original content... in a fanfic?! Okay, I guess I'm willing to do that considering my history with Cheat Slayer, but I might as well exploit the original work's content to my own advantage and simmer it with my own flair.
