Easy Exam

"They're just gimmicks that will be causing a ruckus throughout each center. You can destroy them, but there's no points."

He then struck out his hand theatrically and continued, "For the listeners, I advise you to avoid these guys. "

The boy who asked the question then bowed down. "Thank you and please excuse my question!" He shouted out and finally sat down.

"That's it for now! Finally, I'll bestow upon you our school motto. The hero Napoleon Bonaparte once said, 'True heroism consists in being superior to the ills of life. Over and beyond. Plus ultra!"

"So I wish you all the best."

After the orientation, Akaeru, Himiko, and Bakugo all went separate ways since they were assigned to different testing centers, and as Akaeru looks around at the people near him, he noticed that nobody from his school was in the same center as him, which was practice center A.

He stood in front of a large gate behind a few people, a lot of them talking to ease their nerves. He'd probably do the same. If he were nervous, that is.

A few people were looking at him, the majority women who were atttracted to his appearance, though some were guys trying to size him up.

As he was waiting, the blonde guy who was on the stage earlier suddenly yelled out from a tall tower, "Ok, start!"

"Huh?"

Everybody was caught off guard. Besides Akaeru, that is.

Ignoring the confused stares of those around him, Akaeru propelled himself forward like a blur. The metallic clang of the starting gate echoed behind him as he navigated the throng of students, their slow-motion confusion a stark contrast to his speed. Every fiber of his being was begging for a fight. A chance to show the people watching the exam behind those screens that he'd be the best. And only him.

As he ran, a bot suddenly broke through a building's wall. He recognized it as the bot named Imperial—a two-pointer.

"You're not worth my time, garbage," as he said those crude words, the bot suddenly started unraveling itself until it was a pile of screws and metal while Akaeru continued running and looking for more points.

A helpless student was about to be crushed beneath a two-pointer when suddenly, a green blur slammed into its side. With a sickening crunch, the Imperial bot crumpled in on itself, its deactivated form settling into a heap of useless scrap metal.

Akaeru stood beside the fallen bot, chest barely heaving. He glanced back at the student, who was still frozen in a mid-scream pose. "You're good to go," he said, his voice flat.

The student blinked, looked at the deactivated bot, then back at Akaeru. His face contorted in a series of confused expressions before finally settling on a hesitant bow of his head. "Th-thank you," he stammered.

Akaeru didn't acknowledge him. He scanned the cityscape around him, a predatory glint in his eyes. The exam had just begun, and he was here to claim his prize: the top spot.

News of the "green blur" spread like wildfire through the communication channels of the UA staff monitoring the exam. Present Mic, still bouncing with manic energy, leaned forward in his chair, eyes glued to Akaeru's feed. "Woah there, kiddo! You're movin' like a greased-up lightning bolt!" he exclaimed, his voice booming through the speakers in the monitoring room.

"Interesting," a stoic voice cut in. It belonged to Eraserhead, the dark-cloaked teacher with perpetually tired eyes. "He's destroying them like it's nothing, and whenever he comes across someone who needs help, he opts to destroy the robots instead of specifically saving the student or 'civilian'. Could be a quirk focused on combat efficiency."

"Or maybe he just doesn't like robots," chimed in Midnight, a woman with a seductive voice and revealing costume they seemed to outline all of her curves. "He did call them 'garbage.'"

The discussion continued within the monitoring room, curiosity swirling around Akaeru's aggressive tactic.

Outside, the exam raged on. Akaeru, fueled by adrenaline and ferocity, zipped through the cityscape, a green comet leaving a trail of completely destroyed robots in his wake.

He wasn't just fast, however. As he approached another bot, designated "Venator", AKA 3-pointer on his internal tracker, he extended a hand.

With a mental command, the world around him seemed to slow down. The frantic movements of the bot became sluggish, its metallic claws a blur compared to his own movements. He grabbed the bot's arm in a precise motion, then reversed time on the joint connecting its arm for just a fraction of a second. The effect was instantaneous. The bot's arm ripped free, wires ripping out of its shoulder socket in protest, as it recoiled back from the attack.

Akaeru capitalized on the momentary disorientation. He unleashed a swift punch enhanced by him speeding the attack up, sending the already off-balance bot crashing into another 3-pointer. The resulting domino effect caused the two bots to tangle and deactivate in a heap of twisted metal.

The thrill of the hunt kept Akaeru focused. He wasn't just fast; he was strategic. With each bot he destroyed beyond repair, he mentally mapped out the layout of the city, anticipating the next encounter.

This city was his playground, sculpted by his control over time. He sped past a group of students struggling with a 3-pointer bot, leaving a confused jumble in his wake as they all looked at the robot's destroyed body.

'Fun little point steal there,' Akaeru thought in amusement.

Ignoring the stunned onlookers, Akaeru continued his rampage. He disabled a group of hovering bots with well-placed attacks, each one a blur of overkill violence. Just as he finished dismantling a group of three 3-pointers, a mechanical roar shook the very foundations of the city.

He froze in his tracks, his gaze fixed on the source of the sound. Rising from the dust clouds in the distance was a colossal monstrosity. The 0-pointer. A hulking behemoth of steel and gears, its sheer size dwarfing any other robot in the city. It was a monstrosity designed to test the limits of even the most powerful quirk users. A bot that gave 0 points just because nobody expected any of the examinees to be able to defeat it.

A slow grin stretched across Akaeru's face.

He deactivated his quirk, relishing the normal pace of the world. He wouldn't just disable this bot; he would conquer it. He would show everyone, not just those watching in the monitoring room, but the entire world, what it meant to undeniably be the strongest without equal. With a determined glint in his eyes, Akaeru launched himself towards the 0-pointer, ready to face the biggest opponent he'd ever fought.

The monstrous 0-pointer lumbered towards Akaeru, its mechanical shift echoing throughout the city.

Students scattered like frightened pigeons, their own battles momentarily forgotten. They watched, mouths agape, as the green blur they'd come to fear faced off against the colossal 0-pointer.

Akaeru, however, didn't seem fazed. He stood tall, a solitary figure against the metallic giant. He raised a hand, and for a thrilling moment, nothing happened. Then, with a snap of his fingers, the world seemed to stutter. Time itself halted then rewound.

The colossal 0-pointer, mid-step, faltered. Its massive leg, raised high for a crushing stomp, froze mid-air. A bewildered look, if robots could be bewildered, flickered across its multiple, eight glowing red eyes. The students watching opened their mouths wide in surprise. Some, quicker on the uptake, started piecing it together. The green blur… he wasn't just fast. He could rewind time.

Akaeru moved with inhuman speed, now amplified by the reversed flow of time. He circled the 0-pointer, a whirlwind of green, laying waste to its exposed weak points. One by one, he ripped off armor plates, twisted vital cables, and smashed critical components. The metallic giant, still frozen in its initial attack pose, seemed to vibrate with the violence being done to it.

From the monitoring room, a collective gasp arose. Even Present Mic, ever the showman, was speechless. Eraserhead's tired eyes widened a fraction, a flicker of awe replacing his usual stoicism. Midnight, her voice tight with surprise, murmured, "He's… reversing time for objects of his choice? That's unheard of!"

Back in the ruined cityscape, Akaeru finally stopped, panting slightly. With a final flick of his wrist, time realigned. The 0-pointer lurched back to life, its red eye flashing with renewed fury. But it was too late. The once-proud giant, now riddled with damage and missing crucial components, let out a pathetic wheeze before collapsing to its knees, deactivated.

But that wasn't enough for him. He needed to show everybody just how powerful he was.

'Let me try that thing,' he thought to himself, and as he reached his hand towards the fallen robot, with the snap of his fingers, the robot, now much smaller in size because it was on its knees, suddenly fell apart. Every single component that was apart of the robot separated itself, as if it was never built in the first place.

A stunned silence descended upon the testing grounds. The students, still reeling from the display of power, looked at Kaeru, who was standing on top of the robot's remains, with a mixture of fear and reluctant awe. Here was a quirk unlike any they'd ever seen, and its wielder, a boy with a cocky grin plastered on his face, had just used it to dismantle the seemingly unstoppable 0-pointer with unheard of power.

Akaeru stood tall amidst the wreckage. He had not just passed the entrance exam—he had redefined it. The message was clear: UA was about to welcome a quirk-user no one had ever seen before.
