Chapter 27

" Ladies and Gentlemen there you have it. The winner of the final match and the entire sports festival is Axel Black. " Mic yelled as the audience cheered. They showered praises towards Axel while talking amongst themselves.

Axel just walked off the stage while Todoroki was taken to the infirmary to recover from the exhaustion.

" That was awesome. " Kirishima said as he remembered the match.

" I know. They are also in the same class as us. " Denki said with shock on his face.

" I was totally surprised when Axel sat down. " Hakagure said.

" Yeah, but it seemed to work out since Axel got Todoroki to use his flames. " Tsuyu said.

Bakugou was just stared at the arena while leaning back in his seat. His fists were clenched. Axel wasn't the only competition he had to beat.

Monoma smiled as the fight ended and looked at Axel.

' Even though you don't speak that much, you really know your way around words. ' He thought as he thought about what Axel said to Todoroki in that fight.

' You are really amazing. ' Shinso thought while smiling. He watched Axel walked off the arena while thinking about what Axel said to him and Todoroki respectively.

" That's my son. " Axel's mom said as she pointed to the screen when it was announced Axel's on the match.

Seeing her son win one of the biggest events of the year made her proud of him to no end. That and she could always brag about him a few times to others. Especially at work.

Todoroki woke up to the white ceiling above his head. Sitting up straight, he winced a bit before looking around to see Recovery girl sitting at her desk.

" You're finally awake. That's good. You've been out for about 10 minutes. You should get dressed, the award ceremony will start soon. " She said.

" Okay. Thank you. " Todoroki said as Recovery girl nodded her head.

Getting dressed, Todoroki exited the infirmary after asking Recovery girl where he should go.

Walking down the hall, he stopped as he looked at Axel who was also walking to the location.

They were silent for a while before Tdoroki spoke up.

" Can we speak now? " Todoroki asked.

" Sure. " Axel said.

Todorki's a small smile as he told Axel about his past, everything that happened to him. Axel just stayed silent as Todoroki kept speaking.

He was a bit surprised that Endeavor would do that to his own son but considering that Endeavor always wanted to beat All Might, it wasn't that surprising.

" That's rough buddy. " Axel said.

" I know. " Todoroki said.

" I can only imagine how much pain you went through. How do you feel right now? " Axel asked as he looked at Todoroki. He really didn't how to feel right then. From Todoroki's perspective, that house must have been hell for him.

" Perfectly fine. After I woke up, I thought about the match and I felt fine. The turmoil that I was happening inside me is gone. Thank you. " Todoroki said gratefully.

" No problem. " Axel said.

Axel didn't expect this outcome. He wanted to get rid of Todorki's problems for a moment so they could enjoy the fight.

Axel definitely had fun while fighting Todoroki, but he never expected Todoroki to have a breakthrough like this. He was going to help Todoroki after the festival as they would have a lot more time.

Todoroki was completely calm and relaxed. The complete opposite to the guy who was worrying about everything else and was breaking down inside.

Todoroki looked at his hands as he stretched them out and created a tiny flame in his left hand while having a block of ice in his left. His face wasn't bothered by the flame at all as he stared at it, the bad memories he had while looking at the fire, not appearing in his head.

As for anger towards his father, that wasn't going to go away at all. He still wanted to make Endeavor suffer.

" Alright folks. It's now time for the award ceremony. " Midnight said as the audience cheered.

" In 3rd place, we have Katsuki Bakugou and Tenya Iida. However, Iida won't be joining us as some family matters have come up. " Midnight said as only Bakugou showed up in the 3rd place podium.

( He also isn't wrapped in chains like a rabid dog. That's an improvement. )

" In 2nd place, we have Shoto Todoroki. "

The 2nd place podium rose as Shoto was revealed.

" In 1st place, we have Axel Black. "

The final podium rose as Axel was revealed.

The audience cheered for all 3 of them, expressing congratulations towards them for winning.

" And the one giving them their medals is... " Midnight said as she pointed upward.

" Me. " All Might yelled before laughing.

He jumped down from above making his entrance as the crowd became wild at his appearance, cheering and calling out his name.

Addressing the crowd, All Might then went to Bakugou to give him his medal.

" You did great young Bakugou. " All Might said as he placed the medal around Bakugou's neck.

" I'm not standing on 1st place, All Might. I still need to grow stronger and knock those 2 down a notch. Then you can tell me I did great. " Bakugou said with a devil's grin.

" Good luck. " All Might said as he moved on.

'It's scary how much determination he has. Plus that grin doesn't make it better. ' All Might said.

" That was excellent show young Todoroki. " All Might said as he placed the medal around Todoroki's neck.

" Thanks All Might. " Todoroki said. All Might nodded his head with a smile.

' He's changed. He will grow stronger. ' All Might thought.

" Congratulations young Axel. That was a brilliant performance. " All Might said as he placed Axel's medal around his neck.

" Thanks. " Axel said.

' Just how far will you Axel. ' All Might thought.

" Well then everyone, this is the end of the festival. Let's wrap this up. Say it with me now. "

" Plus Ultra. " The audience yelled.

" Thank you for your hard work. " All Might yelled.

Silence.

Even more silence.

Axel, Todoroki, and Bakugou walked off the stage as All Might was giving his speech and exited the arena.

" You were supposed to say plus ultra, All Might. " The audience yelled.

" I just wanted to thank them for all the work they put in. " All Might said.

...

" Congratulations!! " Axel, Mina, and Kirishima's mom's said as they placed the food on the table.

They had gotten a text to head over to Axel's house to celebrate as all their parents were already over there.

" That looks so good. " Mina said as she salivated a bit.

" Yeah. " Kirishima agreed as he stared at the food.

Axel nodded as he looked at the good and the coffee jelly that his mother made.

" Well, you three deserve it. " Mina's mom said.

" All of you did so well. " Axel's mom said.

" I'm just glad I lost to Axel and he won. If he didn't, I would have killed his Minecraft cat and dog. " Mina said.

" Touch them and I would have destroyed everything you own. " Axel said.

" I would do the same. " Mina said.

" Just shut up and eat. " Kirishima said he grabbed more food.

The house was loud and joyful as everyone enjoyed the time spent there. The students got a one-day break before school started again.
