24 Chapter 24

Axel walked towards the waiting room, thinking about the fight between Midoriya and Todoroki that just occurred.

Midoriya lost the fight, destroyed his arms but in exchange made Todoroki use his fire.

' He decided to focus on saving Todoroki from whatever happened to him rather than win the match. He admires All Might and All Might only focused on saving people more than fame and money, so he decided to save Todoroki. Interesting. ' Axel thought.

As he walked he stopped as he looked at the peppermint-haired teen in front of him. Todoroki stopped as he looked at Axel.

" You seem conflicted, want to talk about it? " Axel asked. Todoroki was surprised before having a soft smile on his face.

" No, not now. You have a fight right now. Maybe after the tournament. " Todoroki said as he walked past Axel.

Axel looked at him before walking to the arena. Todoroki was conflicted. He used his fire when he promised himself he would never use it.

Now that he has broken that rule, he was having inner turmoil. Considering they competed, he needed to keep calm, but he was grateful to Axel.

As Todoroki walked away, he started questioning himself. Why didn't he just talk with Axel first?

Axel meanwhile just walked onto the arena where Mina was standing in front of him.

Mina at this moment was terrified. The person she was facing was someone who helped her train and knew her for a long time.

' I'm going to lose. Well, I had a good run. 'Mina thought as she got ready to fight against Axel. She knew she would probably lose but she wouldn't go down without a fight.

' What will he do? He might try pushing me out of bounds by slamming a barrier into me? Or... ' Mina thought as Axel just stood there with his usual look.

" Match begin. " Midnight yelled.

Snapping out of her thoughts, Mina started to lift both of her hands, to send some acid at Axel.

* bam *

However, the battle ended quickly as Axel made a barrier above Mina and used it to pin her to the ground.

" Out of all the moves I lose to, it has to be the basic! " Mina said as she laid on the ground.

" Mina is unable to move. Axel wins. " Midnight said.

Mina was disappointed with herself and angry at the same time. She had spears with Axel and that move was something he used a lot in the beginning. She had faced it a lot but still lost. Her disappointment was immeasurable.

The others were there to cheer her up. They asked Kirishima and Axel to help but Kirishima told them she would be fine, in about 5 minutes.

Iida won his match before 5 minutes were up so when he was walking back to his classmates, 5 minutes were up and Mina returned to normal.

' She actually turned back to normal in 5 minutes. ' The class thought as they looked at Mina.

" Told you. " Kirishima said as he walked to face off against Bakugou.

Kirishima lost.

" The first match of the semi-finals. Katsuki Bakugou vs Axel Black. " Midnight said as the audience cheered.

Bakugou stood on one side of the arena, staring at Axel. Sweat dripped from his forehead which Axel noticed.

' Bakugou secrets nitroglycerin as sweat from his palms and can ignite them, resulting in an explosion. He must have warmed himself up before the match to produce more sweat. Which means... ' Axel thought.

" Match begin. " Midnight yelled.

Bakugou reacted quickly and put his arms in front of him. A large explosive blast went straight towards Axel.

* boom *

A large explosion occurred and a smoke cloud formed. Bakugou stared at the smoke cloud with a serious expression.

' He's not dead. That isn't enough to murder him. ' Bakugou thought.

He was right. A yellow barrier flew out of the smoke cloud and rushed towards Bakugou, closing the distance quickly. Bakugou immediately used his quirk to propel him backward at a 45-degree angle.

The barrier approached him as he got a bit more height and spun around. The barrier passed underneath him. His nose was extremely close to touching it.

The barrier passed shim as he landed on the ground. He quickly tilted his head to his right as Axel swung a bow staff at his head.

Bakugou dodged another swung as he retaliated with an explosion to Axel's face. Axel dodged the attack as Bakugou lunged forward with another explosion.

Axel dodged by jumping to the left. Bakugou followed by using an explosion to propel him towards Axel.

He sent an explosion from his left hand which Axel blocks and went him. His back was facing Bakugous back.

Bakugou spun around to use an explosion on Axel. Axel dodged by ducking and grabbed Bakugou's arm.

He spun Bakugou around and punched him in the face. Bakugou used his explosions to turn him around with using the momentum from Axel's punch to make him turn around faster.

' Flashbang. '

Using the same move he used against Kirishima, he wanted to blind Axel. It was a gamble considering he doesn't know if Axel could reflect light. Even Midoriya doesn't know and Kirishima never told him anything about it.

He got an answer however as Axel reflected the light he created back towards him. Bakugou closed his eyes from the light and used his quirk. He propelled himself back while being in the air.

Bakugou was currently above the arena and would fall to the grass surrounding the arena.

As Bakugou opened his eyes, he was greeted by a barrier shaped like a rectangular prism, to the gut. It slammed into him as his eyes snapped open and he spat out some saliva.

However, the barrier didn't stop as it intended to slam Bakugou into the wall. It sped up and extended further. Bakugou gathered more heat in his palms and blasted himself backward.

He gained some distance from the barrier and used his quirk again to get a bit of height. He was in a front flip as the barrier went past his head.

The barrier slammed into the wall as Bakugou completed his flip and used another explosion to get himself higher in the air.

Axel watched as Bakugou started spinning while using his explosions. A black tornado appeared as Bakugou approached him. A smile appeared on his face as he watched Bakugou come closer.

Bakugou had a smile as well. He was having the time of his life fighting against Axel.

" Howitzer Impact. "

Bakugou used his attack as a large series of explosions shook the field. A large gust of wind slammed against the audience as everyone stared at the battlefield.

Bakugou got from the ground and was on high alert. He saw something coming from his right and tilted his head to his left. A sword went past him as Axel come out from the smoke.

Bakugou was surprised as Axel come out towards his left. Bakugou used his quirk to move back as Axel went in with a punch to Bakugou's face.

Bakugou got ready to send a large explosion but couldn't as he slammed his back into the invisible barrier behind him.

He grits his teeth as he blocked a kick from Axel to his face. Bakugou then got in close and attacked Axel with a flurry of explosions.

Axel dodged some of them, before grabbing Bakugou's right arm and his shirt with his left. He then threw Bakugou over this shoulder.

Bakugou went straight towards another barrier. He quickly used explosions to control himself and stop on the ground, 15 feet in front of the barrier.

He looked at Axel who was already in front of him. Bakugou looked with wide eyes as Axel slammed his fist into Bakugou's face while being covered with a spherical barrier.

Bakugou fell on his back as he hit the ground. His pupils were white while blood came out of his mouth and a broken nose.

Midnight came to check on him. He was alright, just knocked out.

" Bakugou is unconscious. Axel is the winner. "
