22 Chapter 22

The crowd cheered as Shinso and Midoriya walked onto the arena. They stared at each other from opposing sides.

" Let the first round begin! " Midnight yelled.

"Let's have a nice match. " Shinso said to Midoriya. Midoriya was caught off guard as he looked at Shinso.

" Yeah. Let's... " Suddenly Modoriya's eyes dulled as he gained blank pupils.

Shinso looked at Midoriya and breathed out. He looked at Midoriya.

" Walk out of bounds. " Shinso said.

Midoriya then turned around and started to walk to the edge. The audience was confused as they watched Midoriya walk to the edge.

" Hey, kid! What are you doing? "

" The match just began. "

Shinso looked at Midoriya. He knew that Midoriya only knew him from that one instance when he challenged class 1-A and didn't know his quirk.

He came off as a jerk so he knew that Midoriya would at least be on guard. So a surprise such as a good sportsman-like comment would make him slip up.

' Not bad. ' Axel thought as he watched Midoriya walk. Shinso's quirk is extremely useful. For stopping villains, getting information out of people, and even evacuating civilians.

' I doubt Midoriya can get out of that. Shinso is the winner. ' Axel thought.

However just before Midoriya went out of bounds, 2 of the fingers on his left hand broke as he used his quirk. A large gust of wind slammed into Shisno and went to the crowd while making a small smoke cloud.

Midoriya breathed in heavily as everyone looked in shock. He was still in the boundary.

" Midoriya is still inside. He's still in the match. " Mic yelled.

Axel's eyes widened as he looked at Midoriya.

' How did he break out of that? He shouldn't have been able to use his quirk. At best he should have had some amount of consciousness while under the effects. ' Axel thought as he looked at Midoriya. His mind began thinking about Midoriya's quirk, thinking about how his quirk works but every single one doesn't explain how he could have broken out of Shinso's control.

' What is your quirk? Is it a strength-based quirk or could it be a stockpiling quirk? That explains the gusts of wind since you are releasing energy but not how you got out of Shinso's control. ' Axel thought as he looked at Midoriya.

Shinso stared in shock at the fact Midoriya got out of his quirks effect. It surprised him but he made sure to stay focused.

He watched as Midoriya rushed at him with his teeth grit.

' I wasn't in control but those people managed to get me out. Who were they? No, not now. His quirk is a mind control quirk. I needed to answer him for him to activate it. ' Midoriya thought.

' He's cautious. He won't fall for another attempt. So a fist fight it is. ' Shinso thought.

As Midoriya reached him and tried to push Shisno, Shinso dodged him and punched Midoriya in the face.

Midoriya held his own as Shisno aimed another punch to Modoriya's face with his left hand.

Midoriya dodges the punch and the next one before slamming his fist into Shinso's gut. Shisno spat out saliva before gritting his teeth as Midoriya grabbed him.

Midoriya started to push him back as Shinso resisted. He then jumped back as Midoriya's tried to push him again. Midoriya lost balance as he fell forward.

Gaining balance, he felt Shisno grab his head and slam his knee into Midoriya's face. It diffently hurt as blood fell from his nose. As Shinso went for another strike, Midoriya grabbed his wrists and pried them off his head.

He threw Shinso's arms back as he went into a sprint and rammed into Shinso. Shisno gritted his teeth as he tried to stop Midoriya. However, Midoriya was getting close to the edge of the boundary.

Shinso lifted his arm to try and slam his elbow onto Modoriya's back but Midoriya took him off guard as he lifted Shisno into the air and threw him.

Shinso taken by surprise couldn't stop himself as he fell onto his back, with his upper body out of bounds.

" Shinso is out of bounds. Midoriya is the winner. " Midnight announced as the crowd went wild.

Midoriya had a happy face as Iida and Uraraka cheered for his victory. Shoto was glad that he at least made it to the next round.

' So I lost. Dammit. ' Shinso thought as he got up from the ground.

" What are you looking so down for? That was one hell of a fight you put on. " Monoma said as he leaned on the railings.

Shinso's ears perked up as he looked at Monoma in surprise.

" He's right you know. That was so manly. " Kirishima yelled as he Shinso looked at him and Mina.

He was surprised as well as class 1-A. They were holding signs with Shinso's face on the made from Axel's quirk.

Shinso looked at Axel who was also holding a sign with his face on it. Shinso smiled as he looked at them.

'It's nice having friends. ' Shinso thought as he looked at them, as they were smiling back at him.

...

" For the next round. Sero Hanta vs Shoto Todoroki. " Midnight yelled into the microphone as both contestants walked onto the arena.

Axel looked at the arena and stared at Shoto.

' He seems a lot more determined in this competition. He's the son of Enji Todoroki, the number 2 hero. ' Axel thought as he looked at Endeavor watching from another roast of the stands before looking back at the arena.

" Alright. let the match begin. " Midnight yelled.

" All probably lose but I ain't going down without a fight. " Sero said as he used his tape to wrap Todoroki and swung towards the boundary.

" Sorry. " Todoroki muttered as ice blasted from his right foot.

*boom*

The entire stadium shook as everyone stared in shock at the giant glacier that formed in the arena.

Most of class 1-A's jaws dropped in shock at the power Todoroki held. Bakugou on the other hand was surprised and excited. He wanted to face Todoroki but first, he had to make him use his fire.

" Sero can you move? " Midnight asked.

" Of course not. " Sero said.

" Todoroki wins. "

Axel watched as Todoroki walked up to Sero and removed the ice. He looked at Shoto and saw him looking at Endeavor.

' He's not using his fire because his father did something. Let's try fixing that, after all... ' Axel thought as he remembered how big the glacier was and how quickly it formed. A small smile appeared on his face.

' His quirk is powerful, so let's see what else he can do with it. It could be fun. '

I wanted Shinso to win but he can't. He should have won in the actual story but Midoriya just had to have the past ofa users to snap him out of Shinso's mind control.
