Chapter 8: Another Time-skip and Middle School

(Kodai POV)

[6 years later]

A lot has changed since 6 years ago when I beat up the loser squad and gave Izuku advice on what to do.

For starters, I finally unlocked my Armoured Titan form after a couple more thrashings and defence training from my martial arts teachers. Due to the continuous beatings and defensive postures, my skin adapted to be tougher which allowed me to finally break the bottleneck and achieve Armoured Titan form.

My Armoured Titan form looked like Reiner's with heavy Armored plating on my upper body and the side of my legs and the detachable mouth guard to reveal my mouth.. Oddly, just like Reiner, my blond hair turned white in my Titan form but was a little longer than him giving a slightly messy look. My eyes were pupil less and only glowed bright yellow which gave off a more intimidating look. I was still 15 m like the Attack Titan but looked more bulked up like a foot ball player (American).

All in all, I remained in my Titan form for about the same amount of time as my Attack form. I still haven't found out if my duration depends on the size of my Titan as both of my forms were about the same size which gave me the motivation to unlock Jaw next.

I also tested out some other things with my form as technically, all my forms in this world wont be like the original as they are the Titan representations of my ancestors Quirks, so there are bound to be some differences if I look hard enough as Quirks can be developed in a multitude of ways. After looking for a while, I couldn't find anything remarkably different except the looks of my hair but there should be plenty of time to figure it out.

Anyway, after unlocking my Titan form, I started to train my reflexes and agility by jumping through trees to develop and prepare my Jaw form. Although the Jaw Titan uniqueness comes from its Jaw that can crush even Titan crystals, the reflex and speed aspect shouldn't be ignored. For a year I was constantly training my legs and body by jumping through the trees that I almost felt like a Shinobi from Naruto from all the tree hopping. I also developed my jaw strength by biting through harder and harder foods as well doing jaw exercises. I could feel my Jaw energy (Authors Note: I'm just gonna call the energy he receives when training a specific form the Titan energy. Tell me if I should change the name) rise up as I do these exercises so I knew I was headed in the right direction.

I was also developing a side project of fusing Titans. The idea came to me when I recalled Falco's Jaw form as it had the characteristics of both the Jaw Titan and the Beast titan. In the story, he said due to being injected and transformed into a Pure Titan with Zeke's Beast Titan spinal fluid and later inherited the Jaw Titan to go back to being human, he got the characteristics of both Titans which allowed him to fly like a bird. I tried fusing the Attack and Armored together but it seemed a lot harder than it seems. It was a plan I put off when I finally get the main things off the list first.

In addition to developing Titan forms, I was developing crystallization as technically, all Titans should be able to do it and with the wish I made as well as the Founder within me should make that easier. I decided to train with the Attack titan to achieve crystallization as the Armoured has a natural aversion to to the technique due to being heavily armoured already. I also decided to train with Attack as crystallization provided a way of offence and defence as a Titan built for battle, I felt like I could grasp the technique quicker than in Armoured form as well as my human form.

And my guess proved right as I could gather a little bit of crystallization energy on my fists after a year of training when I turned 7. When I gathered the energy, it looked like my fists had a layer of frost over it. I was not at the point where they looked like full on Ice gloves, but they definitely felt harder than before and could deliver a harder punching force. Due to my training though, the fields at the back of mansion looked like a disaster class typhoon went through it as holes, broken trees, upturned land and other things that felt like they belonged on a world ending movie set. Well it was a good thing we were rich or else we couldn't afford to have a beautiful land around our estate.

Feeling bad about all the repair costs, I decided with the pocket money I had, which was a lot, I bought my own land to practice and make a mess of as my practice grounds.

Besides the training, my relationships with both my family and friend were going smoothly. Over the years of my dad's political career, he has been gaining a lot of influence in both the government political circles as well as some dabbling in the Pro Hero political circles. Due to his natural charisma, he got along surprisingly with those greedy dogs of the government which made my families lives much easier. Due to the support from my mom as an exceptional lawyer and Momo's family who was already influential in both the government as well as The Pro Hero Association, my dad garnered a lot of supporters and could be called one of the big shots in Japan.

The relationship between Momo and I on the other hand were getting closer and closer that it eventually developed into genuine feeling for each other. Due to one instance where she was doubting herself whether to treat me as a friend or not, I quietly slipped a seed of love which solidified her decision to like me as a man and not as a friend. We both knew we liked each other but decided to confess when we both entered UA Highschool so we can get an assured admission instead of wasting time on dating in our early years. Oh yeah, when Momo found out about my Quirk and saw it in action, she was scared seeing a scary looking Titan with glowing blue eyes, but then she got really excited and asked me to take her on a ride in my Titan form every now and then and totally drove me like a slave horse until middle school started which started last year.

I asked my parents to send me to a public middle school as it was kind of getting boring with only Momo around and I wanted to find the third and final member of my group. My parents were surprised at this as they assumed like any influential families, I would be homeschooled and focus on my Quirk then go to high school than wasting time in middle school. I managed to convince them that my Quirk has reached a bottle neck and I need to chill and meet new people to develop my social circle. To further convince my case, I asked Momo to ask her parents to go to middle school with the same reasons as me. Considering our relationship, she readily agreed and asked her parents. When both families asked each other what they should do, they decided it would be best to send us to middle school.

And now a year later here we are, at 11 years old, Momo and I started to grow, not completely ridding us of our baby fat, but both our good looking features started to show which garnered us a lot of attention. When we first arrived as transfer students, we were pestered as always due to being new as well as our looks. It started to get annoying after a while and decided to settle it right there and then and released a bit of my Titan pressure.

Due to me discovering uses of my Titan powers, I developed two derivative abilities called Pressure and Scream. Pressure, as named, releases an intimidation aura around me that drives away people. Scream on the other hand is a bit more complex. I was inspired by how the original Ymir could control Eldian's despite not being injected with her spinal fluid. Although I cant achieve the same perfect control with the humans in MHA, I can at least stun them for at most 6 seconds before the affect wears off.

Besides the point, at middle school I found the third member of my harem, Itsuka Kendo. Yes, the big sister of Class 1-B in the cannon and worked alongside Momo for her internship. I liked her character as she was not one of those fragile delicate girls, but one rough around the edges and could hold her own in a fight if trained properly. Her Quirk reminded me of Luffy's Elephant Gatling from One Piece minus the rubber and the Jojo punches. Although there is no Haki in this world, I though what if she wore stretchable gloves that increased toughness the more it stretched. I was going to suggest that to her once we got closer.

Itsuka was a cheery girl who treated everyone as a friend and the closer ones as siblings. She was a very beautiful girl with orange hair with a pony tail at the side. She was of average height at 5'5 and had a developing figure that could almost rival the current Momo. She was very easy to talk too which made my interaction with her fun and joyful. Momo looked at me strangely for a while when I interacted with her but that changed when I introduced the orange haired girl to her. Since then the three of us became the best of friends.

And here we are, the three of us on our lunch break on the school roof. I was drinking my orange juice, listening to music, while Itsuka and Momo were chatting about heroes and stuff. I was about to doze off when I heard Itsuka asking me a question.

"Yo Kodai, why exactly do you want to be a hero? I mean you are the son of a booming politician and a lawyer right? You would be making more money than a hero could without risking your life in the field." asked Itsuka curiously as both Momo and her looked at me for an answer.

I thought about it for a while and decided to answer.

"Hmmmm, The reason I want to be a hero is to find new challenges to face and live life to its fullest. If me living life to its fullest can help people on the way then that would be a positive consequence."

Both Momo and Itsuka looked at me curiously for a while the went back to chatting until the bell rang. I went back inside while Momo and Itsuka were following behind me at a distance whispering about something that I chose not to hear as I had no interest in it. They would tell me eventually if their whispering about it. With that I headed to my next class.

[Momo POV]

As I watched my crush Kodai walking ahead, I heard Itsuka motioning me toward her. I thought nothing of it as I thought she just wanted to talk about something personal without Kodai listening in. When I reached her side, she started to whisper something that made my heart race.

"So Momo, you and Kodai huh? Not surprising since I always see you next to each other and you two's occasional glances towards each other." whispered Itsuka as she have me a knowing smirk.

"W-w-what are y-you talking about?! Me and Kodai? NO WAY!!" I blushed immediately and denied frantically trying to steer Itsuka off my trail of m childhood crush.

"HAHA, the jig is up Momo! You cant hide it from me!" giggled Itsuka as she started teasing me while I tried to steer her away.

I finally gave up and just admitted it after her constant pestering.

"*Sigh* fine yes I do like Ko-kun from the fist time he saved a random kid from the park. I think it was admiration that he saved someone he didn't know that drawn me towards him but I think the actual romantic attraction towards him happened when he kept treating me with kindness and concern as well as the natural protection he gave by being near him. I think he likes me back but I don't want to start a relationship now as we both want to go U.A and we don't want a relationship to hinder that plan of ours. Now Itsuka, lets go to class before we have get in trouble and I don't want to mess up my perfect attendance!" I explained then ran to catch up with Kodai before shouting that last part.

What I didn't realize was that Itsuka was making a conflicted expression just as I explained the situation to her.
