Ever Judo Thrown The Teacher?

Saying he wasn't excited for the Judo class would be a lie.

Not only was Thaumiel pretty hyped up to get some fighting lessons since he basically never had tried it in his previous life, there was also the curiosity about leveling the martial arts talents.

As someone who read quite the sum of novels in his life he did have a high expectations for this talent.

Of course, he didn't think it would let him learn to jump over walls with qing-gong or make swords fly with his mind, but could he do some stuff like Baki characters?

Being able to move your arms fast and skilfully enough so that it rips off a person's skin like a whip would be pretty sick and honestly not much worse than some combat oriented quirks he had read about on the internet.

Not to mention the instructor was a retired hero.

'Dynamo Dottie, a retired hero whose career was most focused on villain's combating and had quite a good record although in the current times he isn't really remembered. His dojo is quite famous as not only do various parents send their kids his way for training but even some policemen and teens training for hero colleges study there.'

That was how Makima had described the man, as for the man's quirk… Makima hadn't told him, only saying he would find out once they met.

And well it was just as she said.

"Haha it's been a while Makima-san, what brings you here?"

Asked a rather rugged and muscular bald man with a pretty thick beard and spring-like forearms and calves, remenbering a certain One Piece caracter that dosn't belive in dreams, dressed in a spcially made black judogi(judo uniform).

"Long time no see, you look as healthy as always Taro-kun."

"Do I? Well you know what they say, an exercise a day keeps the doctor away."

He said in the apparently normally coarse tone of voice before his eyes quickly turned toward the small figure beside Makima who had looks somewhat resembling hers.

The moment his eyes laid on Thaumiel they widened so far they seemed about to pop out of their sockets.

"M-makima y-you actually had a s-"

"Nephew."

"A-ah! Is that the case, no wonde-!"

Making use of his more leveled socialization talent Thaumiel couldn't help but be amused by what he was picking out.

Seems he wasn't the only one that found Makima 'hard to approach', Taro who seemed to know her a bit was almost shell shocked thinking he was her son.

'Did Makima have some story scarring away pursuers to the point he was this shocked thinking she found someone and had a son? Seems… very probably from what I saw of her.'

Noticing the increasing amount of cold sweat on his future teacher, Thaumiel decided on taking a step forth and giving him a hand. So without much delay he put on the most charismatic smile he could and step forth stretching out his small hand.

"Hello, I'm Thaumiel, you can call me Thau though. And we came here so I can get enrolled in Judo classes."

As if grabbing a life saving straw, Taro hurriedly dodged Makima's gaze turning his full attention to the little white haired figure and shaking hands with him.

"Oh you look pretty young, most kids start around 5, how old are you Thau?"

"Well I'm 4 and half… which is basically 5, no?"

"Haha don't worry, although you aren't yet in the age mark there should be no problem joining the 5 years old... But where did I hear that name before."

He assured as he took back his hand, briefly pausing as he seamingly feel into a short reminicesce.

After a bit though he seemed to not be able to recall anything and shook his head before assuming a slightly more serious expression.

"Though I do have to ask Thau, Have you already gotten a quirk? If so I must warn, it's strictly prohibited to use a quirk inside the Dojo. In here only martial arts are allowed."

"I haven't yet, although according to docs I should have one it hasn't appeared yet. Guess I'm a late bloomer?"

"Oh is that the case? Don't worry these types of things show up when you least expect, unless you are a Mutant type, you never know when your quirk might pop out. It's like a fart-"

"Taro."

"Ah-!"

"I hope so…"

Thaumiel murmured not paying attention to the intructor who once again recived a chilling gaze from Makima.

Being honest his original conjecture was that by exercising his body he should be able to awaken the quirk.

Yet the current him already had leveled Fitness enough it was equivalent to someone who faithfully exercised for a few years yet there were no signs of any 'quirk' showing up.

"A-anyway! How about you go get a judogi your size with the receptionist and get changed?"

"No problem Teacher."

And just like that Thaumiel left to get a uniform for himself.

What was pretty convenient is the receptionist had a thread manipulation like quirk, really weak but worked just fine for minor tweaks on the get up so it fits him just right.

In a few minutes he was already on the tatami along with a few other dozen kids in various sizes.

Some were bigger, some were a bit fat, some were pretty thin, some had tusks, an aquarelle of looks if you will.

"Alright everyone, today as usual we start with some running to warm up followed by stretching. Hitoshi you lead! Get moving people and no slacking"

He said while clapping, his voice now having a more authoritative voice different from the relaxed and cheerful one previously

Almost immediately a more 'buffed' kid took a tep forth shouting a 'Yes sir' and taking the lead to start lapping around the tatami.

Following his lead the other kids and he him began to lap.

Thumiel of course promptly rearranged his talents putting about 2/3 in Fitness and the rest in parkour which could be exercised with pure running as well.

Feeling the familiar bittersweet burning in his muscles Thaumiel was a bit sad thinking he was being turned into some sort of masochist by this damn talent.

'Come on me! no pain no gain…Fuck cheats aren't supposed to have pain mixed in the equation. '

Still progress was the one and only thing he could use to somewhat make his depressed state a bit less grim.

With about 3 to 4 minutes of trotting everyone soon came to a stop and formed a semi-circle with Hitoshi in the center doing some Yoga poses for streaching.

Within the first move Thaumiel was surprised to hear that sweet all familiar ding in his mind.

[Talent: Yoga(29) LV1]

It took him a bit by surprise since he originally thought that Yoga was a talent contained within fitness, perhaps this was a misconception of his own since any exercise or extraneous body movement would minimally increase proficiency in Fitness.

Though He was more curious why he didn't trigger this tallent before… it came a bit weird to him: Some talents could be triggered by simply reading about the activity in question and others required an in hand approach.

'What was it that distinguished it?'

He couldn't say for sure being far too little time since he got the Talent Redistribution quirk.

In any case he moved the points from Parkour and half from Fitness to Yoga before proceeding with the next couple exercising and enjoying the explosive increase in proficiency.

It went up so fast he was even a bit unbalanced due to the sudden increase of flexibility.

By the end of the routine he felt so spring he wondered if he could perform one of those circus tricks where the person bends backwards all the way to the point they look like a scorpion.

He felt quite good about his odds.

Not letting him dwell too much in his own thoughts though.

Taro, the instructor, once again clapped his hands attracting everyone's attention as Hitoshi retreated into the circle of kids.

"Okay very good everyone, since we are all warmed up it's time we get to business! For starters we are gonna begin with throwing and falling practice. I'm sure some of you are already very familiar but for the sake of those that are still new I'll do a brief explanation and demonstration."

'Alright that's it, let's see what this Martial Arts talent can do.'

[Talent: Martial Arts(1) Lv1=>Talent: Martial Arts(856) Lv1]

"For starters I'll need a partner for demonstrations… Well Thau its your first day so come over, this should help you get quickly in tune for it."

Not quite expecting himself to be chosen, Thumiel was a tad bit surprised but nonetheless he wasn't one to shy from showing off.

Besides, a more hands- on approach should also help the talent level more quickly.

Thus without delay he stepped forth.

The sight probably a little comic from a third point of view as a 2 meter tall and 106 Kg adult choose a 0,95m tall kid that was probably 1/4 of his weight.

Still Thaumiel didn't look intimidated or nervous but excited for it, which made Taro not reconsider his choice for the demonstration.

"Okay everyone, in Judo the most basics are knowing how to take your opponent to the floor and knowing how to take a fall and not get hurt. I'm gonna do a simple trip, a really slow one, so pay attention. As for you Thau, keep in mind that when falling you should…"

And with a couple simple instructions Taro took a small step forth and grasped the small white collared judogi and being extra careful he did a by the book tripping.

Sweeping his ankles from a tricky angle very lightly and using a bit of strength on his arms to have Thau fall.

Seeing a somewhat blank expression on the kid's face Taro nodded glad he didn't overuse his strength and that Thaumiel wasn't the type of kid to cry over small falls.

Proceeding he helped him up as both once again got into position.

"Allright that was good, now I'll be demonstrating the fall, Thau you ca-AH!"

And before he could even finish his words he only saw the world spinning as he himself was laying in a daze on the tatami.

"What the…"

Thaumiel who had completed the throw was also a bit stunned not having quite expected to throw down the teacher THAT easily, even if the latter was somewhat unprepared.

'So this is what level 9 martial arts paired with level 33 Fitness can do…'

"Was that okay teacher?"

He asked while transferring some TP to the acting talent and putting on his most innocent and clueless expression while using the opportunity to brush up the talent a bit.

Taking a few seconds for both Taro and the kids to finish loading what just happened the instructor finally 'woke up' and hurriedly got up while fixing his judogi and coughing.

Most probably happy his beard was full enough to cover any blushing that would give away his momentary embarrassment.

"It was almost perfect, you spinned a bit too little when doing the throw, when with a bigger guy like me you need to do a big arch of movement so they can properly fall down. Since it was your first throw I didn't stop but do keep in mind."

He said in an expert -like tone and slightly shook his head.

With his bullshi-'explanation' the other kids also came to realize the teacher had 'allowed' the newbie to do the throw and relaxed, losing their shocked expression.

Some were even thinking this was a matter of fact.

'Of course the teacher was just letting him, he is a newbie after all…'

'Geez how stupid I actually thought that kid was some judo master or something, the teacher was just holding back...'

'So that was it, as expected of the teacher…'

While Taro himself was thinking something pretty different.

'What the fuck was that? Before I even realized I was already on the floor, did this kid use his quirk or something? No he said he hadn't awakened yet and Makima didn't comment which means it should be true… then has he already practiced Judo before… shouldn't be, he is only 4 even if he did how long could he have practiced…'

Thaumiel, who was excited as he got some tangible results of upgrading talents, after hearing the teacher's words quickly stepped forth in hopes of doing another throw.

"In that case I'll-"

"Ah! N-no can do Thau, now that the demonstration is over everyone get into pairs and begin practicing throws and falls, chop chop no time to waste."

"...tch."
