1 Chapter 1: The Miracle of Childbirth

The sound of a woman screaming can be heard echoing through the halls of the Central Hospital Maternity ward, a situation quite familiar to the staff there.

The origin of the screaming is of course a woman in the midst of the miraculous event of birthing a child into the world! Along with the encouraging words of the soon to be Father.

"You're doing great honey!! You're doing so good you got this! Keep it up you're almost there! Go PLUS ULTRA!!" He radiates support and positivity!

And her endearing response...

"Shut uuuuup before I Plus Ultra you out the damn windoooow!!! Ahhhh!!!" She squeezes/crushes his hand more and more!

"Sorryyyy- Ow ow ooooow!! It hurts!!" He hops up and down in endearing pain!

"Oh your hand hurts!? Wanna swap!?! Gah!! Deal with iiiiit!!"

So endearing...

The Doctor add his own encouragement in order to try and save to poor fellow "You're truly almost there Dr Sekizō!! One more big push!!"

Sadly she doesn't find it very comforting "You said that an hour ago you bastard!!"

"I mean it this time! Here we go!! PUUUUUSHHHHH!!!!!"

She crushes her husband's hand even more! "AHHHHH!!!!"

Her husband's cries join her own "OOOOOWWWWWW!!!!"

After hours and hours of agonising labour the baby is finally born... Mrs Sekizō collapses into her pillows with tears and sweat streaming down her face... As the shrill cries if a new born fill the room.

The attending nurses gasp at the sight of the baby... And the Doctor holding them is at a momentary loss for words...

Their silence makes Mrs Sekizō nervous "Wh-what's the hold up...? Boy or girl...!?"

The Doctor clears his throat and regains his professional demeanor"I-it's a girl... But... Umm... What are your two's Quirks again...? Just out of curiosity"

Mr Sekizō answers with a concerned expression "I can shape earth and Asa has X-Ray vision... Why...?"

"Well..." He stands with the child in his arms "This is quite an... Unexpected development but I'm sure it won't be a problem. Congratulations to you both!" He passes the bundled baby into her Mother's waiting arms.

As she looked at her baby Dr Asa Sekizō would be lying if she claimed she wasn't surprised at her child's truly unexpected appearance... However that surprise could never rival the overwhelming love and joy she felt looking at her!

By being in contact with the Mother she's grown to know so well over the past months the baby's cries grow fainter and fainter... To be replaced by a sound not often heard in a Maternity ward...

The soft hissing of many many Snakes.
