30 Class 1-A

It was an early spring morning. Birds were waking up next to their chicks, getting ready to cook some worms.

Pollens and sakura petals were flying around in the air, a blessing of the green and pink trees. Old people started their cardio as they jogged in groups. A few of them were retired heroes.

That was among the daily, normal life of society.

And then, there was one boy. Doing finger push-ups with his legs high up in the air. His inverted figure caused a lot of people to throw interested glances at him.

Sadly, none of those glances could stop him from miscounting his push-ups.

"77, 78, 79... 76, 77, 78-"

He kept circling around those same numbers. A small puddle had formed around him, made by his sweat.

"Should I stop here?"

Surprisingly, Masato stopped his work out on his own. Without any outside reminder.

It was only normal since today was the first day of school.

I went back home and took a warm shower.

'It's amazing how people like cold showers. I would rather not torture myself like that.'

After a good 10 minutes of scrubbing, I came out, steamy and mysterious.

The uniform for U. A. was really comfortable, easy to move and light.

It really deserved all the hype that it had among hero aspirants.

"I should get going."

Taking a bag, I snatched the letter over the nearby table. Most of the roommates were sleeping while Hitoshi was already out.

"Ya~ Are you going to school, Chocomint?"

Mito woke up because of the movements and rubbed her eyes.

"Yeah, I need to be early. And don't rub your eyes."

Warning her, I took off.

"Be careful."

She mumbled before pulling the blanket on her head and sleeping again. As a growing child, nothing was more important than sleep to her.

I took out the envelope that contained my admission record. It also contained the markings of the top 10 students.

"Heh!"

Corners of my mouth tugged up at that letter.

Seeing the name at the top of the list made me feel giddy. And that almost got me killed by Himiko.

In the joys of being Rank 1, I must have rubbed it too much on her face. Luckily, she didn't try to stab me.

"Ha~ The world looks so much better when you're Rank 1."

I nodded inwardly and reached U.A. High, the safest, magical school in all of Engl-Ahem, Japan.

Three steps inside and the bells of death started ringing.

- Woosh!

A knife flew out from the dark, missing the mark because of my skillful dodge.

"Tch! Good morning, Masato-kun."

Himiko happily greeted as she walked out of the shadows.

I glanced between the knife stuck on the ground and her.

"... Yeah, good morning."

Perhaps it really was a mistake to rub my rank in her face. With that thought, I hid the admission letter in my bag.

"Ara~ What's that in your hands?"

She threateningly raised another knife.

"My birth certificate!"

That was dumb. But there wasn't any time to prepare at all.

"Hmm~ Is that so?"

Her glee hid her bloodlust as she put the knife away.

"Shall we head inside?"

Since she was living in the dorms, she had no reason to wait here but she was probably lonely. Moving into the dorms to give her parents the space they needed, was indeed a good move but a lonely one.

"Sure."

I didn't say anything and only followed her.

"We're in different classes, huh?"

"Like middle school?"

Himiko belonged in another class for the first two years of middle school.

"Yeah, 1-B. And you're 1-A, huh?"

Being shown the admission letter quite a few times, she remembered the class I was assigned to.

"I asked a teacher in the staff room. Apparently, your homeroom teacher is Aizawa Shota, also known as Eraserhead."

When she applied for the dorms, she met up with Nemuri and they surprisingly hit it off. Becoming friends easily because of their forbidden tastes.

"You... Don't learn things from that exhibitionist."

"Mou~ You're so rude, Masato-kun. Don't call Midnight-sensei an exhibitionist!"

She clenched her bag tightly as she acted cute. To anyone else, it may seem odd but to me, who knew of the knives that were hidden inside of it... It was plain deadly.

'Yosh, find a new nickname for that exhibitionist.'

Or die. The latter option sounds tempting but surely the system wouldn't allow that yet.

"See you later~"

"Ou!"

She skipped away, moving towards her class after dropping me before Class 1-A.

I wasn't some toddler who would get lost in the school yet she forcefully tagged along.

"Let's see who exactly is in this class."

Of course, there would be some changes to the class. Especially since there was a newcomer.

- Slide!

The inside of the class was mostly empty, except for 4 kids that arrived early.

A neat and uptight looking young man with glasses, a beauty with a bloated chest that was familiar, Todoroki Shoto with his emo aura and a bird head. The last one also had an emo aura.

'Should I ask him the most important question? Nah, let's get close first.'

I moved towards my seat which was based on numbers, Roll No. 19.

It was right next to the big-hearted girl.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Yaoyorozu Momo. Please take care of me."

She raised her hand for a shake. A complimentary smile over her beautiful face.

I narrowed my eyes at her, trying to find the reason behind the familiar feeling.

"... Oh! Tissue!"

Finally, her face morphed as she heard that name.

"You, are you Anzai Masato?"

She remembered the name. Just that fact alone showed how strange she was.

'Man, do I attract weirdos or what?'

"Umu. I'm Anzai Masato, the Rank 1. You know, top spot!"

Since it was time for introductions, I started boasting a bit.

"I see. It's been a long time. The last time you ignored me and left me alone in the midst of unknown people."

Momo smiled but she was clearly angry about that face. Her onyx eyes were burning already.

"Ahem! Is that so? I don't remember that. Anyway, have you tried Lunch Rush's food?"

From all the information I knew, I could easily change the topic.

"Not yet. I wanted to try it."

Momo looked downhearted.

"Don't worry about it, you can always try it today. I can even suggest you a few."

During the entrance exams, Lunch Rush provided some refreshments to lighten the mood. Half of that went into my stomach while the other half was packed in a tupperware for the kids back home.

"Then I will be in your care."

"No problem, Tissue."

She was a bit too uptight but way better than Himiko, who stabbed others when pissed or delighted.

"U-About that, can you not call me 'Tissue'?"

Her eyes met mine as the atmosphere got a bit colder.

"... Hahahaha!"

'No, why are you laughing?'

Bedazzled by the sudden chuckling, Momo's brain shut down.

"I got it, Tissue."

'No, you didn't get a thing.'

She retorted in her heart because she couldn't break her character.

"I-I understand."

"Umu, that's great."

Soon, a few guys showed up. One of them was Mezo. I nodded at him and he returned it similarly.

"Hey, are you Anzai Masato!?!!"

A porcupine-haired boy grunted, standing before the desk. His tilted posture, tilted neck and exploding palms all screamed delinquent.

"Yeah."

"You bastard! You stole the first spot from me?!! You wanna die!?"

... Wait a minute, say that last sentence again?

"Kacchan, let's not fight."

A green haired boy arrived to stop him but Izuku's existence was ignored by him as it was ignored by me.

Momo was also about to interfere while Mezo already started walking here.

I grabbed his exploding arms and opened my mouth.

"Yes, please!"

"Huh!?"

"Huh?!"

"What!?"

Even more pissed off than before, the explosions on Katsuki's other hand got stronger.

"Try and make it as painless as possible. Oh, also keep the body intact before burying it, no cremation please."

.... A deadly silence fell upon the class.

'This dude's crazy....'

Everybody had only that thought as they saw my kind smile.

They probably liked the bored expression way more than this. Well, I was handsome either way.

"... Hah! Just don't get in my way, extra! Or I will ki-..."

Katsuki went quiet, trying to find a new threat as his usual one had negative effect.

"Kacchan, let's just go."

"Tch! Better remember this!"

He left for his seat, following Izuku.

'Huh? Did he just listen to Izuku?'

Even if I was forgetting most of the plot, I distinctly remember Katsuki was a bully to Izuku at the beginning and not a friend.

'No, why doesn't he question Izuku about his admission?'

For some reason, he was currently staring at me too.

Was it my charming looks? But no thank you, I don't bend that way.

"That was a good way of handling it, Anzai-san."

Momo nodded as if she understood the essence of heaven and earth.

"No, I'm just suicidal."

"Huh!?"

Now, her hard disk was crashing. She held her chin and pursed her lips, trying to make sense of what I said.

"... Huh-No... What-No... Yeah-No..."

It was blessing that there was no fan of the Creation Hero: Creati yet. Otherwise, I would have been skewered for breaking her.

"Calm down, Tissue. Just take deep breaths."

"Sit down!"

A wringling earthworm entered the classroom. No, it was the homeroom teacher, Aizawa Shoto.

"It took you 8 seconds to calm down. Time is a very important resource. You guys aren't really resourceful, are you?"

'Minus 10 points.'

And so, Aizawa already started negative marking the students.

'Oh, that guy's too shiny. It's hurting my eyes. Minus 20.'

Unknown to him, Aoyama Yuga lost 20 more points.

"Anyway, hurry up and change into your gym clothes. Meet me at the ground."

He held a sinister smirk as he said that. Giving everybody in the classroom chills.
