5 Fast Forward

Six years has passed since then. With Izuku continuing his own home-made training plan. Training every day and only resting on Sundays, Izuku has made impressive progress. Not only in his physical abilities, but he has also grown a lot taller and with a much broader chest and shoulders. Impressive for one that is 10 years old.

Izuku's facial features has also changed a good bit. Leaving his mother to constantly tease him on how he is going to be a big heart throb to all the girls in the future. Did Izuku become handsome? Or was his it just his mother just saying that to make Izuku feel better because his face will need a miracle? He does not know and could only pray that it was the former and not the latter.

Standing at a height of five feet even. Izuku has gained a darker shade of skin color. The result of always being outside. With his now tanned skin and smooth face. Izuku lost all his freckles, a sad moment indeed. It did not grant him a mighty quirk. Shame.

His eyes have changed from their round shape to a much narrower look. Losing his innocent appearance and adopting a more of a serious look.

Izuku's hair has also experienced a change. Having gone to get it cut so he could sweat more freely during training. He had the sides and back cut short and leaving the top with some length. Giving him a trendy look but not wasting time with any gel. Just letting his thick locks hang over his forehead. Unknowingly having the same style as a certain solo leveling MC. His hair has now turned completely black with electric green tips. Matching well with his eyes.

Walking into his house after completing a five-kilometer run in six minutes. He goes to the kitchen to see his mom at the stove cooking dinner. "Mom?" Izuku getting her attention.

"Yes honey?" Not turning around, putting her focus on her cooking.

"Would it be possible if I could attend a dojo?" Izuku asks with a hope in his voice.

Inko reaches for the dials of the stove to lower the temperature and sets what she is cooking to a simmer. Putting a cover on the pot. She turns around to face her son.

"A dojo? Now why would you want to attend one?" Inko tilts her head.

"Well, so I can take the next step in pursuing my dream." Now looking down thinking he is going to get turned down.

"Izu." Said person looks up and locks eyes with Inko. "Dojos can be expensive, and we already don't have enough to spend around." Seeing her soon looking dejected. She quickly trots over and wraps Izuku into a hug. "But. That doesn't mean it's impossible to put you in one." Izuku rips his eyes off the ground at looks up to his lovely mother.

Continuing on with her words, "I know someone that can help. This person can teach you on anything you want to know. The downside is that said person, is a little bit of a slave driver." Sending shivers down her own spine with memories of the strange man.

"Who could it be?" Izuku feeling his mother's fear, is starting to doubt that this man is even worth mentioning.

"His name is Master Kaito. He was a friend of your late grandfather on my side of the family. He was a great friend to my father, and I consider him an uncle. We haven't talked in years. Fortunately, I still have his number. I will give him a call today and see if he can come over tomorrow so you two could meet." States Inko

Izuku for his part, is thankful to his mother. With a tighter hug, "Thank you, mom."

"You're welcome sweetie."

Inko lets go of Izuku and turns around to continue dinner.

Izuku walks off to his room wandering about the new Master Kaito. Being the only time, he will ever say that name without any anxiety for the foreseeable future.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Walking out of school, Izuku just got through with all his final exams. Getting full marks as promised for Inko. Today starts the first day of summer vacation.

Making his way over to his house, He spots an old man sitting on top of the roof in a meditative position. "I see you have finally showed yourself." Pointed out the old man in a raspy voice, not even opening his eyes to look at Izuku.

"Are you Master Kaito?"

"Indeed, young one." Standing up with his eyes still closed. He flips off the roof and lands on his feet. Right in front of Izuku. Not making any noise nor making any vibrations in the ground to feel. Opening his eyes revealing silver orbs filled with years of experience.

Master Kaito, a short old man being a head shorter than Izuku. He has a bald spot on the top of his head with white hair surrounding it. White hard angled eyebrows, and a big white bushy mustache. He was wearing a black long-sleeved turtleneck with white pants and black slip-on shoes.

"Go and get packed, we are leaving for the summer." Simply states Master Kaito.

"What? Don't you have a dojo close by?" Izuku not wanting to leave his house. He never really ventured out into the world only going to school and around the immediate area around the house. To be honest he is a little worried. All his memories come from here. It was home, he felt a sense of security here. Going out to the unknown makes Izuku worried. Especially not knowing Master Kaito at all. He is a stranger to Izuku.

Master Kaito, already sensing what Izuku's thoughts and feelings on the matter are. Grabbing Izuku's shoulders, looking into the young boy's eyes. "It's foolish to fear what we have yet to see and know." Letting go. "Stop feeling sorry and get moving. Your mother has spoken to me about your desire to be a hero and told everything that you have done so far. That's everything that I need to know about you. I already know your type. Now get packed we are leaving. Little Inko already is informed on this. You will see her before school starts back up again."

Izuku takes in Master Kaito's words. Nodding to himself and ignoring the 'little inko' part, because the old man is a midget compared to her.

After getting all packed up for what he concludes is a ride to another town, it could be a couple hour ride. Too bad his view of normal is not Master Kaito's normal.

"Since you appear ready, lets go." Sprinting with tremendous speed, Master Kaito takes off north. Izuku not prepared at all, hauls his bag of supplies over his should and takes off after his new master.

After running for hours and Izuku constantly struggling to keep up with Master Kaito. They make their way out of the city and continues running in to the forest of the outer edges of the city. Running for another hour. Master Kaito finally stops, "This is the place." He mutters to himself, loud enough for Izuku to hear him. Dropping his bag and collapses, lands on his stomach. Rolling over to take in that much needed oxygen.

As Izuku was doing his best to recover, Master Kaito walks over to the prone form of his new student. Standing over him and looking down at him.

"Impressive. You managed to keep up after all. You deserve a reward." The master states with a cool and unimpressed tone. "Your reward is this." Pulling a set of ankle and wrist weights out of his sleeves like a magician. He sets them down next to Izuku. "Put these on after your rest and enjoy it while it lasts." With his piece finished he turns around and walks away.

Once Izuku recovers, He gets up and puts the weights on. Grabbing his bag off the ground. He makes his way to his master. Struggling to walk, as if he was trying to walk up stream of a river. Once arriving he notices camp. It was already set up, with a little surprise too.

There was a fire blazing with heat in the middle of came on top of the fire there was a big fish hung up above the fire slowly roasting it. Near the fire were two logs acting as benches. On the side of the campground there was a simple log cabin, Being only one story tall with a wooden door with two windows on either side of it and a porch. A small cabin, but big enough for one person to live comfortably. If said person enjoys this type of life.

Walking up to the stairs of the porch and reaching for the door. Izuku attempts to knock. But before his knuckles can reach the door. Master Kaito opens the door. "I see you have recovered. Go sit by the fire. I will be there shortly." With a calm tone. You could never really tell what the master is thinking when he always has a calm tone and a stony face to go along with it. Never have Izuku once caught the master using any facial muscles besides his mouth to speak.

Walking to the fire and taking a seat on one of the logs. He stares into the fire wondering I this even was the right decision. Snapping out of his thoughts when a sudden voice appears. "Pretty isn't? The fire." The owner of the voice, Master Kaito asks young Izuku.

Taking a glance to Master Kaito, then returning looking into the fire. "Fire is indeed interesting to look at." Izuku responds.

"Fire is important, without it, we humans wouldn't be able to do things that we currently do without it. From lighting up the dark to cooking, protection, and warmth. Fire is the greatest discovery excepting only language. We have used fire since the beginning of human history."

Looking at his master with a quizzical expression, Master Kaito continues. "Fire can also be represented as the heart of human spirit. Fire consumes, warms, and illuminates, but can also bring pain and death. I wonder how you will cultivate your own flame and what it can become in the future."

Izuku dumbfounded by his master's sudden speech can only be awed smacked by his masters wise words. Before Izuku ask his master further about fire.

"Dinner Time." Master Kaito cuts in and in a flash has the fish cut, prepared and ready to eat. Passing a plate to Izuku. Then digging in. Izuku quickly following his master lead and digs in.

After dinner. Master Kaito informs Izuku that training starts tomorrow and to make sure to get a good night sleep because he will need every second of rest for the first day of hell tomorrow.

Sharing the cabin with Master Kaito, the interior of the cabin was small. Only one room and that's the bedroom. With two twin mattresses with there own bed frames on opposite sides of the wooden walls. The floors were also made of wood. With a sandy tan carpet with various star designs colored red, blue and green. There was a locked wooden chest at the end of the bed that Master Kaito was approaching. "You can sleep on that bed over there." Pointing to the bed opposite of him. Nodding to him Izuku makes his way over to the bed. Laying down on his side facing his master. He looks down from where he lays, he can see the door. Looking to his ahead he can see his master settling in on the bed.

Looking up to the wall facing the door. He can see a huge panting on it. Covering the entire wall. The painting had a memorizing grassy plain surrounding a massive body of crystal-clear water. You could see fish of all different specious and colors. Giving an appearance of an underwater rainbow shining like precious gems. Around the water you could see various animals in the animal kingdom. Zebras, elephants, giraffes, you name it. Walking around the mighty sized lake. Staring into the water. Just as bewildered as Izuku.

Feeling his eyes starting to droop. He properly lays down in bed. Covering himself with a quilted cream-colored blanket. He looks over to Master Kaito. "Goodnight master." Receiving no response. Izuku clothes his eyes and drifts off to a peaceful slumber. Dreaming about being in the painting.
