1 CHAPTER 01

Sylvia always believed in herself to not be like those girls- who'd cry their eyes out due to finding out the guy they love is cheating on them behind their backs. Well, that's what is going on right this moment; besides it being behind her back, it's happening right before her very eyes.

Yes, that's right, her, 'oh so loving fiancee' or in this case, 'ex-fiancee is cheating on her with not only one mistress, but; two and with auburn hair.

The ex-fiancee happens to be the next heir to the Howard Casino- it is recognized throughout Canada, Europe, and the USA- Josh Howard. And the two-auburn hair mistresses- by the familiar screaming, moaning, and groaning- happen to belong to the Tweevilz, aka twin daughters of the Chairman of Blake Technicians, Andrianna and Audrina Blake.

'That's why there isn't a single staff insight; he wanted to be alone with two of his b****es,' Sylvia thought; she clenched her hands into a fist to control the urge to punch the wall until her knuckles are broken and bleeding.

This situation would bring any girl to tears- however, not Sylvia- sure, she could feel her eyes burning from holding the tears in, yet, her ego will not allow her to shed any for the disgusting display of adultery.

Instead of barging in and stopping them from showing anymore-"affections"- she quietly walked away from her ex's room door and left the house. It's a good thing no police officer's stopped her because, at this moment, she is rage speeding towards the Crox Residence- which happens to be a little far from the Howard Estate- what usually takes at least 30 minutes; Sylvia reached the residence in 15 minutes.

As she arrived at the residence's premises- Sylvia parked her white Lamborghini Aventador in the garage. Quickly, getting out of the car while in a fit of rage and anger- she slammed the vehicle's door shut and impetuously made her way to the door. Standing before it, Sylvia rang and knocked with impatient persistence- 5 minutes passed, and her anger-ish impatience had grown tremendously.

'Seriously, if someone doesn't come to open this door right this instant, I'll kick it down from its hinges.' Sylvia thought- with a ferocious look in her eyes, she glared at the door as if waiting for her eyes to start shooting laser beams. Seconds from erupting like a volcano, the large thick hard wooden door finally opened- while rolling her eyes in annoyance- she noticed the one to open the door was a man in his mid 40's- he was none other than the head steward of the Crox Estate, Stuart Darrell.

"Welcome back, Ms Sylvia. I hope your drive to the Howard Estate was pleasant," he inquired her while closing the door behind them.

"Yes, it was so splendid and pleasant being there that I couldn't stay there any longer than necessary." Sylvia sarcastically replied as she ascended the stairs to the second floor- where her room's located- not paying any attention to her surroundings, or even- to the look Stuart is giving her this moment.

Entering her room, straight away, she lay down on her bed and started to think about the disturbing occurrence she witnessed not too long ago; the more the thoughts ran through her mind- the more it brought anger and disgruntles to her. Sylvia is so caught up in her mind that she hasn't realized someone's been knocking at her door; the raging feeling isn't going to distinguish any time soon. So instead- she let herself utilize these emotions to her advantage and think of ideas to get revenge on those adulterers.

Before she could think of any more revenge plots, the ideas immediately diminished by the repeated knocking on her door as the banging grew even louder by the second. Groaning in annoyance, Sylvia roughly pulled the door open to see who'd have the audacity to disturb her while she-selfed wallowed in anger. Taking just a glance at the person for a minute, she went to slam the door on the person's face- however- the very person kept a stronghold- in return- Sylvia won't be able to shut the door.

After a few failed attempts, she grudgingly and reluctantly gave up; with an irritating look on her face, Sylvia stood before them. She wasn't even that surprised by this person's abnormal strength and enthusiastic personality; the only people who are bold enough to annoy and piss her off would be Aurora Michaelson, aka daughter of the King of Airways- who owns millions of airports in Canada and International wise. Yes, a princess and the other person, well, just thinking about that person's annoying self-made her blood boil even more.

"Why don't you just bang on the door even louder so the entire neighbourhood could hear it as well?" Sylvia asked, raising an eyebrow in her direction and leaning on the door frame. Rory- aka Aurora- cheekily grinned at Sylvia while entering her bedroom; "Oh, come on, Pooh. I know you love my enthusiastic self." Rory replied as she took a seat and sat criss-cross style on the bed.

"Please stop calling me Pooh," Sylvia requested- she took a seat- opposite of Rory in the cream-coloured lounge sofa chair she has in her room- with a tired look on her face. Rory had a thoughtful look, but- after a while- she shook her head and gave out an 'mm-mm.' Sylvia, in return, let out an exhausted sigh and slumped in her chair in an unladylike fashion.

To get rid of the tired look in her eyes, she closed them shut, trying to get some peace and drown out the outside world from her mind; however, the quietness lasted for only a second due to a certain someone interrupting her peace of mind. " Hey, Pooh, are you okay?" Aurora concerningly asked her.

"Yeah, everything is fine. Why do you ask?" Sylvia inquired with an attitude.

"No, you aren't. Something is wrong- usually, you start being icy towards me. Still, after a few seconds of cold shoulder, you'll be a little smiley and humouring yourself by making remarks about how irritating I am."

"Wow, I never knew you paid so much attention to my moods or nature."

"Sylvia, I'm serious- this isn't like you; tell me. What happened?"

"Nothing happened, Aurora, so- I would appreciate it; if you can drop this conversation- right now."

"No, I won't, tell me; what happened when you were over Josh's place?"

"Why do you care? Whatever happens in his place is my business, okay. Stay out of it."

"It is my business when it concern's my best friend."

"Well, then, stop being concerned about me by not being my friend."

The arguing comes to a halt- silence filling the room, nothing is said- or even- uttered between them, both of them kept quiet; they're lost in thought, Sylvia's occupied by guilt, and Aurora's preoccupied on her feelings getting hurt by the sudden outburst. Sylvia couldn't take the uncomfortable silence any longer- so, she tried to break it by making it up to Aurora.

With a heavy sigh leaving her lips and a guilty conscience, she finally thought its time to come clean with Aurora; whatever courage she could muster up was accompanied by a heavy heart. Sylvia confessed to the things she wanted to say to Aurora in middle school.

"Rory, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say those things; it just came out. I'm so grateful to have a friend like you- you are the only one who took the initiative to get to know me for me, instead, for what other's think of me- even if you are such a headache or an irritating being, I couldn't be happier to have like you."

From hearing the confession, Aurora can't help; but let the tears- she was forcefully holding in- shed from her crystal blue eyes and let a huge smile spread on her face. Not able to control her actions, Aurora threw her arms around Sylvia and tightly hugged her- making sure to break her spine and block her oxygen pipes with the ridiculous strength she has. In return- not being so used to physical contact- Sylvia gave an awkward hug as she could with both of her arms held weirdly between them.

Being hugged for so long is getting kind of uncomfortable for Sylvia, so she tried to wiggle herself out of Aurora's grip- yet- no luck; the grip seemed to only get tighter from the amount of struggling she was doing. To no avail did Aurora let go- so- the only thing left to do was to pinch her, and that's what she did; she sneakingly slithered her hand to her best friends waist- while making sure Aurora didn't realize what she was doing at the moment- and pinched her, roughly.

It took a second for her to react, and the way she did it; made Sylvia laugh so hard until her stomach hurt. Aurora is jumping all over the place, and at the same time, she held her side- the very place Sylvia pinched her- still, it wasn't her action which made it funny- that is one of the reasons- but the look on her face; its a mixture of shock and pain, combine it, and you get a cocktail.

From all the laughing Sylvia's doing, she didn't notice the glare Aurora was giving her- however- a minute or two; she started to join her as well in laughing in her misery. The two of them were trying to control themselves- but to no luck, after a couple of more tries, they came to settle their laughter to a stop and slum themselves on the bed- letting themselves lay in an incomplete shroud of silence.

As the seconds ticked by, Sylvia knew Aurora was at her limit, ready to burst and call out the questions- she's dreading to answer- even though she doesn't want to inform or burden Aurora with her problems. But Sylvia knows her; Aurora won't stop asking until she tells her everything.

Meanwhile, thinking through how she should bring it up, the only conclusion she can come up with is to blurt out everything to her; and that's what she did.

"Rory," Sylvia started, after- in return- getting an impression from her; she took this time to continue.

"Rory, there is something I should tell you," She felt the bed creak from Aurora's side of the bed.

"Go on, Pooh," she insisted.

'Well, here goes nothing.' Sylvia thought.

"Josh cheated on me with the Blake twins," Sylvia said with her eyes closed and holding her ears shut, waiting for Aurora's shouting and screaming- however- the minutes passed, and nothing came out, not even a single whisper. Cautiously, she opened her eyes to notice Aurora's shock and stiff stature, just how the way her appearance and posture are- is making Sylvia worry.

Later, trying to snap Aurora out of her state of mind proved to be troublesome- although- it took some time, finally; she snapped out of it, and the reaction Sylvia expected- was on another level than she anticipated.

"WHAT?!" She exclaimed so loud- it wouldn't surprise Sylvia if the entire work staff came barging into her room to see what was the problem, though that isn't where she stopped her exclaimed remarks; from the continuous spewing of threats and curse words leaving her mouth. Instead of being a sweet, enthusiast, and bubbly girl, anybody would think she was a crazy and psycho girl from how many bad things she's spouting.

'Really, I think I'd have to clean my ears and brain with soap or something from the irregular use of curse words leaving her contemptible mouth.' Sylvia thought that all of a sudden, an idea struck her mind; sneakingly- without Aurora noticing- she slipped to her attached washroom and retrieved a bar of soap.

Aurora began to curse in different languages that she didn't pay any attention to Sylvia- by feeling a sudden tap on her right shoulder, just as she turned around; automatically- something was shoved in her mouth. The substance gave off a weird and soapy aftertaste; she couldn't help- but spit it out right away.

"EEEEEEEEEWWWW! DISGUSTING!" Aurora yelled while trying to get rid of the soap's aftertaste by gargling- as she is busy cleansing her mouth- Sylvia is too preoccupied laughing her head off. As the foul and detested flavour left Aurora's mouth- simultaneously, she got to calm herself down from the hysteric fit she was going through.

"Okay, all joking aside. Tell me from the beginning, When did Josh cheat on you? And with those two, seriously?!" Aurora seriously asked Sylvia.

"Well, let me start from the beginning. Today, I completed the manuscripts of the novel I was working on and other work-related things for the company- so- I thought, why not visit Josh? To surprise him, I booked a table in the French restaurant he likes so much. However, how am I supposed to know as soon as reaching his place, two cars parked in front of his house- which didn't belong to either of his parents- and the other most peculiar thing is there was not a single staff insight."

"But, that's not all, strange noises were coming from the third floor; therefore, with a curious conscious, I went to check it out. The sounds were getting louder by the minute as I got closer- when approaching the door- I've realized the unusual sounds and banging were coming from Josh's room. So, standing in front of the room about to enter, there was already a gap- where I could peak into the room- and as I did; it was shocking to find out your fiancee- of 2 years- is cheating on you with not one, but two girls and they happen to be the Blake twins."

After- telling Aurora what happened- Sylvia felt her blood boil with anger and rage once again, but in this case, it's twice more profound than before. With a frown on Aurora's face, she saw the betrayal, rage, anger, and resentment in Sylvia's eyes; plus, there is something else in them- which seems entirely new to her- and that is the hunger for revenge and vengeance.

'Anyway, whatever Sylvia wants to do to get back at those filthy cheaters, then I'm with her through it all.' Aurora thought with a cheeky- yet- determined look and a sly grin on her face. Sylvia came to notice the look on her face and couldn't help feel a little creeped out by it.

"What's the purpose of that look on your face?" she asked her; cautiously. Aspecting a response- yet- in return, all she got were giggles. 'Definitely, something is up with her- if she isn't saying anything- and I don't trust that cheeky look on her face or the giggles she gave.' Sylvia thought with a wearily look.

" Okay, what is it?" She asked, raising an eyebrow towards her while crossing her arms.

"Oh, nothing, just wondering the type of schemes of revenge and vengeance going through your head and will befall those disgusting, arrogant, and cocky cheaters," Aurora stated, along with shrugging her shoulders, an innocent smile displayed on her face. Sylvia- without her consent- let a smirk appear on her face- she knew; Aurora would go along with anything she does, and that's what she likes about her.

"Even if I did come up with some scheme to get vengeance or revenge on them, I won't tell you," Sylvia informed Aurora.

"WHAT?!" Aurora exclaimed in surprise. "WHHHHHHHHYYYYYY!?" She- loudly- whiningly asked.

"Because; I don't feel like it," As Sylvia said that, a disbelief look came across Aurora.

"By the way, it's getting late. You should head on home, and if I think of anything, I'll let you know, okay," Sylvia said.

With a huff and a pout, she got up, grabbed her belongings, and left the room and house; Sylvia tagged along with her to make sure she got in her car and safely withdrew from the premises. As she saw Aurora's vehicle, not insight, she made her way inside to her room- Sylvia looked at the time and noticed how late it was getting- so- she immediately got ready for bed and lay down, waiting for the darkness to consume her.

Before- being in a state of deep sleep- one thought is going through Sylvia's mind, and that is to make Josh and the Blake twins pay for their treachery towards her tenfold.
