Rift of the past

An hour later, a beam of golden light came from the distance and stopped before the mansion. Panting softly, Ariana looked at the sky. 

She had searched different places but Derek wasn't there. He wasn't answering her calls, either. 

Frustrated, she packed her hair while pacing around. Turning her head, she sighted Sam leaving the building, heading toward a black vehicle.

SWOOSH—!

Running to him, she held his shoulder, making Sam turn towards her. "Do you know where Derek is?" 

Sam's brows arched as he saw the sweating beauty. "Where did you run to? He's in his office."

"All this time?!" 

Sam nodded and Ariana bolted off. 'She's fast.' 

Entering the vehicle, he tapped the driver. "Head to the wild zones. Master Silver has ordered for his brother to return." 

The image of a monstrous creature appeared in the driver's mind, causing him to tremble.
