The jeep stopped, and they both got out. While Gavin looked haggard with his ripped clothes and bald head, Derek still had a prime and proper look.

"Killing Juliet was a little extreme. We should have done something else," Gavin said with his head lowered.

"Yeah, you're right. I forgot to extract what she knew." Derek's tone lacked empathy, but it had regret.

He had forgotten to get the woman to spill what she knew. He might have gotten a clue to a Cyber base in the safe hold.

"Extract what?" he heard Gavin ask and turned back. "Information about Cybers."

"What!" the man couldn't believe his ears as he stared at Derek in disbelief.
