Failed

"You're Zlork's top killers. Please explain to me how've you failed to bring an innocent, naive princess here?" Rugal questioned as gently as possible

He sighed and rubbed his temple. "You're lucky The King isn't here, you'd be nothing but garden compost by now."

The ten soldiers in the meeting hall shuddered just thinking about what would've happened if the king was present. "I trust that you won't fail again?"

There was warning to his voice. Rugal was gentle, much gentler than his master and best friend. However, they loved blood just the same.

One soldier quickly nodded his head, the others followed in suit and they all clambered about the hall as if their boots were on fire. "I hope she's here before he returns." Rugal shook his head.

He wanted so desperately to meet this princess who had caught the King's -whose only love is war- attention, to the point of him proposing to marry her.
