12 12 Tied Up n' Roses

"Eh-" Ethan's eyes slowly opened, revealing a cloudy white room. A dull pulsing rang in his head, like a bell. He sucked in the cold air of the room, unconsciously bringing his hand to his head. But he couldn't. He couldn't move his arms nor his legs.

'What the-'

His vision cleared and he could see his arms and legs tied to a chair. 'No wonder.'

His back was hurting, probably from being in this position for so long, so he rolled his shoulders. A satisfying cracking noise came from his back yet the pain coming from it never subsided.

Ethan looked around the room choosing to brush off the pain, everything seemed to be in much better detail then when he was human. In fact he was near sighted when he was human so he had to wear thick glasses, but now he doesn't.

'I guess being a monster comes with perks.' He rolled his neck, producing another cracking sound.

"Labcoat, He's awake."

'Labcoat' looked up. The first thing Ethan noticed was that his head and neck are wrapped in blood stained guaze. 'What happened?' Ethan pondered.

"How are you feeling?" It was the first thing the doctor asked him dispite being injured himself. L was too selfless. He would always put others safety before his own.

"Fi,ne" Ethan choked out. He still wasn't used to speaking ever since he 'died'. It was painful and uncomfortable for him, all he could feel was something hard grinding in his throat. "What... happened?"

"It was wild! The monster came through the window and started trashing the lab acting all creepy and stuff!" Wen narrated it with enthusiasm. "And then it saw you and some telepathic sh*t must have happened between you two because you started to attack us, specifically Labcoat. You slammed him against the wall and bit him! It was savage!"

L rolled his eyes. "You're savage."

"Your right, I was because I came to your rescue." Wen did a hero pose before acting out how he defeated the 'bad guys'. He flailed his arms about as if he was holding a sword, "I swooped in with a sword and knocked you out while killing the monster."

"That's not what happened." L shook his head.

"It's ok to be jealous L but don't be in denile. I wasn't in denile when I got arrested for the first time."

'Of course you weren't', Both Ethan and L deadpanned.

"Why are you looking at me like that!?" Wen turned around with a pout.

'Childish.' They both thought simultaneously.

L sighed and tugged on Wen's sleeve. "Either way, you did a good job. Don't get angry now."

Wen was to busy peeling skin off his fingers to give L any attention, his words got ignored. 'Why do I even try.'

"L... Why.. tied up?"

"Oh, you were going wild so we tied you up... sorry." The doctor touched the guaze on his neck.

Ethan nodded. It was probably for the best anyway. He wouldn't know what to do with himself if he harmed L to the point of no return. He felt a warm hand on his head, bringing him out of his thoughts. "It's ok."

Ethan looked at the floor. "Sorry..."

A huff of laughter escaped L's lips. "I said it as ok, I know you didn't mean it."

Ethan nodded before dropping his head back down in shame.

L stood up and walked out the room. Wen ran after him. "Where are you going?"

"Cleaning up the lab..."

"Maybe that's not the best choice..."

L turned around with a questioning look on his face. Wen stared him straight in the eye. "I mean, the lab is very dangerous right now."

L nodded, "More of a reason to block the windows and fix the door. Things won't get in that way."

Wen nodded. "I'll help then."

"Wow really!" L gasped. "You're so lazy, I didn't expect that from you."

Wen rolled his eyes and dragged L down the hall as he chuckled.

They had spent the entire night cleaning the room and covering the windows with boards but there was still so much to do. L was sweeping the floor from debri that they found in cracks because, you know, glass is literally death glitter.

Wen was busy watching L, sitting on one of the lab tables with his legs in a pretzel.

L shook his head. 'Of course he wasn't going to help.'

"You forgot a spot." Wen pointed to a corner where a small speck of glass layed. L gave him a look. "Why don't you come sweep it up for me then."

"But your so much better at it though. Look, the floor is literally spotless, your amazing."

"Are you trying to feed me honey?" L's expression became amused. "Yeah, did it work?"

"No, clean." L handed him the broom and sat down himself, watching Wen stand up and sweep the room. Wen continued to grumble about something while sweeping.

~~~(T^T)~~~
Ethan kept pulling at the ropes. It constrained him from his looming actions.
He could feel bile pushing it's way up his throat while a scorching hot feeling crawled in and out of his skin. He didn't know what to feel, he didn't know what he was feeling. All he knew was that he wanted to get rid of it, to do anything to get rid of the pain.
His breath hitched as he felt a sharp pain tear away at his back. He clenched his teeth so hard that golden blood dripped out of his mouth, staining his lap. He couldn't even see it clearly because the pain was causing his vision to black in and out.
It was so intense that he began to hallucinate. In his vision his nails turned long and black and the once yellow blood that stained his black jeans a darker shade as well as the lab coat he was wearing, became a colorful shade of red. As bright as a rose.
Yes, a rose. That was an accurate discription of this. The color of the blood lured him in but once he touched the rose, he would be pricked by the thorns.
It was inevitable. He felt a sense of lonelyness crawl over him. Both of them left him here, they didn't care. Nobody cared.
He was slowly becoming a monster and soon he would fully be one. He didn't know if he could keep up the act with the others of pretending he wasn't always in aching pain, or the fact that the smell of blood almost drove him insane.
'Maybe its better to just embrace it.'
