"Shawn is that you" the woman said,

"mom"?

The trio were shocked, Shawn thought he was dreaming because his mom disappeared five years ago so how could she be here, in his ally. His mother called out again bringing him back to reality, Jaden had already found a stone which they could use to break the lock, Shawn grabbed the stone from Jaden and broke the lock, immediately the door flung open a woman who appeared to be in her early fourties fell out from the cupboard, she had blond hair and green eyes she looked almost like a skeleton, the only difference was that she had flesh. Shawn held his mother in his arms and subbed uncontrollably, "what have they done to you" he said the midst of his tears.

"my love" Amber said as she caressed her son's cheek with tears trickling down her bonny cheeks, she looked at Jaden and Mia who were towering over her with worried eyes, Mia's eye then darted to a string which came out of Ambers chest and led to the cupboard, she touched the string making the boys notice it too,

"mom what's this" 

"this? it's nothing to worry about dear, lean closer to me I want to tell you something" 

Shawn did as his mom asked and she whispered something into his ears,

"I want you to promise me that no matter what happens, you'll stay with Mia, I can see just how much she loves you" Amber said as Shawn and Jaden looked at Mia, Jaden was close enough to Amber so he heard what she said,

"what do you mean by that mom and how do you know her name"

"that's not important, just do as I asked okay?"

"yes mom"

"good. Mia dear, I want you to do something for me now" Amber said smiling at Mia

"okay?" Mia said wondering how she knew her name,

"you've noticed the string right (Mia nodded), now follow the string into the cupboard" Mia did as she was instructed, the string was coming from a tiny button in the cupboard, she had a bad feeling of what was about to happen.

"you see the button right? (Mia nods nervously), push it"

"what!" Mia and Shawn said in unison

"don't do it Mia" Shawn yelled

"listen to your elder Mia and push the button Mia" Amber said again, Mia didn't know what to do at this point, Shawn got up from the floor in order to stop Mia from pushing the button but she eventually did it because in the process of Shawn pushing Mia away from the cupboard, she pushed the button and fell to the ground, immediately Amber blew up filling the room with blood, Jaden's face and body was covered in blood. Mia began to tremble as Shawn shouted out in sorrow.

"Shawn calm down" Jaden said

"(looking at Mia) I asked you not to push the button Mia so why did you do it!" Shawn yelled scaring Mia,

"I wouldn't have done it if you didn't push me" 

"oh now you're saying I'm the one that killed my mother right!"

"no, I'm sorry okay" Mia said trembling, Jaden tried to calm him down telling him she would have died either way but Shawn was blinded by range so he didn't listen to Jaden

"get out of my house right now!"

"Shawn calm down, this is what Andrew wants, he wants to tear us apart"

"shut the fuck up Jaden, we both saw her push the button!"

"all I saw was your mom dieing even if she pushed the button or not"

"(claps) wow, so you two planned this right" Shawn said as Mia ran out of the attic,

"Shawn this is not the time for us to fight, we're all meant to stay here until our fathers return"

"not anymore Jade, I don't care if Andrew gets you two cuss that's what you deserve for killing my mom, you have your own house so get the fuck out of my house!"

Jaden couldn't believe Shawn would say such a thing so he went after Mia knowing Shawn was only angry, Mia already left the house so he went out to find her only to find her at the scene of an accident, she was about getting hit by a truck but Shawn's sister saved her and in the process got hit by the truck while the truck driver passed out. The cops arrived while an ambulance took Mia, Jaden and Shawn's sisters to the hospital. The doctor announced that Stella, Shawn's sister couldn't make it, this news left Mia devastated, 'two people lost their lives today because of me' she thought to her self crying. Jaden didn't know what to do, he decided to inform Shawn of what happened though he knew that the news would be the end of their friendship. Jaden and Tiana, Shawn's elder sister tried to calm Mia down but she kept calling her self a murderer. Shortly after Shawn arrived at the hospital, Mia tried to avoid him but she couldn't.

"you're a course!, I hate you!, why did you come into my life" Tiana gave Shawn a slap after he said this while Mia left again but this time Jaden made sure to be by her side as he gave Desmond a call to come pick them up, he tried to call his uncle and his father but he couldn't reach them.

"why would you say such a thing Shawn"

"why wouldn't I say such a thing, first she killed mom and now she's killed Stella!"

"you're very stupid do you know that, those two would have died either way Shawn, Andrew set a timer for the bomb so even if Mia didn't push the button, she would have died and as for Stella, she chose to give up her life, she was ill anyway so I guess she just made things easier for herself, stop blaming Mia cuss that's exactly what Andrew wants"

"what are you even saying, how do you know about mom and what do mean by Stella was ill"

"ever since mom disappeared, Andrew had been threatening I and Stella, there was an incident that happened between mom and his children, I and Stella wanted to teach his children a lesson for disrespecting mom but it went wrong so they lost their lives when they ran away from us and into the street, they didn't check the road before running into the street so they got crushed by a truck. He decided to kidnap mom to punish us, he threatened to kill her but we pleaded with him, he said he'll come for you and dad as well so I and Stella left home with an agreement with Andrew that if we left the house without telling you and dad you two would be safe but I guys that was a lie. He would torture mom and send us videos of how bad he's treating her...."

"hold on Tiana, this is too much for me to take in"

"I'm sorry Shawn"

"save your apologies, I'm going home" Shawn said walking out of the ward angry but this time not with Mia but himself, Tiana called out to him but he didn't listen to her.
