His Identity (1)

Sienna sat in the living room alone. More accurately, she sat there alone while 2 bodyguards stand by silently in the dark corner of the room. She actually tried to communicate with them once but got ignored, so now she didn't even bother about them. She treated them as if they were air.

She was bored, so she decided to watch television. Actually, there was a television in her room too, but she didn't want to stay in her room all day, so she decided to go to the living room. She watched a tv drama that was being broadcasted. There was a lot of things that made her confused when he was watching. For example, the main character's skin was black, like really black, totally different from her. She didn't know what happened to him. And why do some people sound and dress differently than her or the people around her? Another example was, she also didn't know what city she lived in now, so when the reporter mentioned a city name, she can't picture where it was or how far it was from the place she lived in. She gave up watching after a while. It just got more confusing as she watched. Most importantly, it was upsetting her for how much she did not know.

'Maybe I'll ask Charles later. Oh, I almost forget that he went working, when will he get home anyway? But now that I think about it, I didn't know what his work is.' She pondered. Charles was super rich, what could be his occupation? Maybe he is a CEO of a big company?

'Right, I never asked anything about him besides his name.' She realized that she practically didn't know anything about Charles. As she pondered, he kept being more of a mysterious figure in her heart. He just showed up and claimed to be her fiance yet didn't tell her any important information, who would believe him?

'Should I ask around the maids? Right, there is that butler Mr. Lee. I should go ask him,' she thought. There were a total of fourteen workers in this mansion. A total of three maids to clean around the house, one chef, one butler, two gardeners to tend the garden, two security that usually stands guard and helped to open the front gate, and two chauffeurs. Three of the workers were bodyguards, in which two stayed to protect Sienna and one that always followed around Charles.

All of them usually stayed in the workers resting area when they don't have work. It was situated near the kitchen, besides the workers sleeping quarters on the first floor. The first floor only consisted of the big garage, storage rooms, worker rooms, a common resting place for servants, bathrooms, a small pond that filled with colorful koi fish, the dirty kitchen, and a small corridor that led to the swimming pool behind.

Sienna walked down to the first level and found a wing for all of the servants. She checked the resting place first. The maids and other servants were resting there, but Mr. Lee was nowhere to be seen.

"Where is Mr. Lee?" Sienna asked one of the maids. The maid was quite a young one, she was only in her late twenties.

"Miss, Mr. Lee usually stayed at his own room. You can check in his room first," she answered with a respectful attitude.

"Lead me there then."

The maid led her to the front of Mr. Lee's room. She knocked on the door. A few seconds later, Mr. Lee clicked open the door.

"Miss Sienna," he greeted her with a surprised look on his face. The maid excused herself before Mr. Lee said, "Miss, you could have just called me, no need to trouble yourself to come here."

Sienna only waved her hand nonchalantly. Mr. Lee asked, "Is there anything that I could help you with, Miss?"

"I heard that you are the longest worker here?" She got this information from one of the maids when she casually asked who was the longest worker in this mansion. Mr. Lee was old, he was already fifty-six years old. She heard that he already served in this mansion from when Charles still young. He was Charles parents' confidant, and now he was also Charles's confidant.

"Miss, it is true that I work the longest here. I worked here for thirty years now."

"Then, you must know almost everything about Charles?" She asked, seemingly nonchalant.

"Miss, I do know a lot about Master Charles. But Master Charles already instructed me that if you want to know anything, you should ask him directly. I'm sorry I could not be of any help to you," he answered with the same respectful tone. Sienna countenance turned bleak.

'That damn perverted fiend.' Sienna cursed him in her heart. She humphed, then left without saying another word.

She went back to her room and sat on the couch. He supported her head with one hand, thinking. Then, she saw the albums on the bookshelf with the corner of her eyes.

'Charles said we've been friends since middle school. But I think I haven't seen my pictures with him at all on the albums. Did I miss anything?' She narrowed her eyes, feeling that all of this was really suspicious.

She walked towards the bookshelf and started rummaging through all the books on the shelf. She saw a bunch of books that she can't understand at all and set it all aside. She planned to check the content of the books later. After she browsed through all of the books, she still can't find any pictures with Charles.

"That's weird. Why can't I find his pictures?" She was so sure that she didn't miss any book. She searched once more, but the result was the same.

"Well, I'll just ask Charles directly later," she muttered. She used the intercom on her room and requested for a cup of tea and sat on her couch, waiting.

"Miss, I bring the tea," Mr. Lee's voice drifted from outside after just a few minutes.

"Come in."

The butler came in with a tray of one pot and a cup of white jasmine tea. Sienna could smell the aroma of fresh spring jasmine tea. It was refined and delicate. The taste was light and clean, and with each sip, the sweetness builds and lingers.

"It's nice. Did I also love this kind of tea?" She asked after a few sips. Mr. Lee was still faithfully waiting at the side.

"Miss, this one is your favorite. You loved to drink tea, so Master Charles told me to collects all kind of tea leaves." Mr. Lee explained.

"Alright. You may go. You can take the cup later. Oh, and tell Charles to come here as soon as he comes home," she instructed. She really wanted to know things regarding the pictures.

"Yes, Miss." Mr. Lee bowed slightly and walked outside.

Sienna took a book with fiction tag on the cover while enjoying her tea. She read the book until it was six past ten in the afternoon, when she heard the sound of a car engine. She knew that Charles already got home, so she put her book and waited for him to come to her room.
