4 First Trial (3)

Sein was watching the battle between two gangs of monsters, the night-hounds against the green colour monsters.

It was fierce and unsightly to watch, it was a complete one sided massacre, those night-hounds completely destroyed the green monsters.

As he witnessed the battle, he became more and more afraid to get the gangs of night-hounds. It was not an easy item to get his hand on.

There is no way to get that thing without killing those night-hounds, but as he witnessed earlier it was pretty difficult to fight those beings head on.

" Let's make a trap. " He said that to himself and took out the rope from his bag.

His plan was to tie the rope on the path where night-hounds will usually use and trip them over to some wooden stakes.

He slowly climbed down from the tree and walked towards a small tree near, that small tree was the size of his wrist. He used his knife to cut that tree and sharpened each sticks.

Sein made those sticks into spears, after doing that he tied a the rope across the path where those night hounds previously came.

He started to dig around the place where he calculated the night-hounds will trip down and fall.

Sein used the wooden spear and the knife he had to dig, after digging a small pit he stumped those wooden spears into it.

" Finally atlast the trap is finished. " He exclaimed, he then decided to take a stroll around the forest to find anything useful.

He was being overly cautious on each steps he took, he was scared to run into any other monster.

Sein walked further into the jungle, and heard some noises coming from the bush behind him.

It was like a cry, a cry from some kind of small animal it resembled the whimpering of a puppy.

Even though shaking from fear, he muster the courage and looked behind the bush. There he saw four small pups.

" Aww, they look so cute " he got mesmerized by the cuteness, sein decided to pet it subconsciously.

That pups jumped and tried to bite on his hand, sein quickly retracted his hand. " Bad puppy " he scolded them.

Only at that moment he noticed something, that those puppies have black fur and red hue on their necks.

" It's....it's the night-hounds. " He said that and looked at those puppies, " I....I, only need to take a fang right?.... right? " He gripped tightly on the knife.

His heart was pounding faster, sein started to sweat as if he was about to do something bad.

Once more he looked at those puppies eyes, sein closed his eyes and take out his knife.

* Growl.....Growl.....* Sein heard the growling and ran away from that place, he quickly climbed on a nearby tree and positioned himself in there.

As he hid himself on top of that tree he saw a pack of night-hounds coming from another direction.

Those monsters came and started to feed their pups the thing they hunted, on the other side of the forest he heard some sort of loud noise.

He looked at that place and put a hand on his forehead to see clearly, it was the green skinned monsters hunting some sort of snake.

Even that large snake made him fear the forest, " I only have two more days left to finish the trial. " He expressed his worries.

As the day progress, sein slowly returned to the tree that he previously camped on. He also checked the trap that he made.

But there were nothing in that, that trap itself was poor and the ropes were cut.

He looked at the sky and climbed on top of a tree again, in there he unwrapped another energy bar and started to eat it. " So my only way is to catch those pups huh ".

As he murmured to himself and started to eat the energy bar, he heard something. It was a loud noise that echoes through the jungle.

He quickly diverted his attention to that place where the voice is coming from.

In there he saw the green skinned monsters, hunting and killing the night-hounds. " Aren't the night-hounds strong? They defeated those green monsters so easily at night. " He was surprised to see this.

" Wait! I think night-hounds are only strong at night. "

He concluded that after seeing that green skinned monsters killing those night-hounds.

" Even if that is case, I don't think I can kill any of those monsters. "

As he watched the fight between monsters, he noticed something creepy.

The green skinned monsters took the skull of a night-hound and wear it like a helmet. " Did all the skull helmets is from those night-hounds? "

He decided to check it once again, as the night came he was waiting for the night-hounds.

* Night-hounds started to howl *, those monsters started to come out from the shadows and started to hunt those green skinned monsters.

In this time he noticed that the night-hounds killing the one wearing those skull helmets more brutally.

Sein realized the significance of the skull helmets; they weren't just trophies but symbols of enmity that enraged the night-hounds beyond reason. This discovery sparked an idea in him, a strategy that might just work to his advantage without directly confronting any of the creatures.

On that day he didn't sleep, he was waiting for the battle to end.

After a long time the night-hounds killed off all the green skinned monster and returned to the shadows.

Sein break a small branch and throw it towards those green skinned monsters to confirm that they are all dead.

With the confirmation that the green-skinned monsters were indeed dead, Sein cautiously climbed down from the tree and walked towards the green skinned monsters.

Then he take out the knife he had and started to break the fangs from the skull helmet.

After successfully removing a fang from the skull helmet, Sein carefully examined it. There were no cracks on it, he carefully put it o his bag.

After that he climbed up tree and waited for the day to come.

( The next day )

He climbed down the tree and ran towards the giant tree were the gate keeper gave him the mission to bring the teeths of night-hound.

He reached at the foot of that massive tree, but there were no one in that place, he take out the fangs from his bag and wave it infront of the tree " I....I got it, I got the fangs. "

Then that whole place coverd in smoke, and the gate keeper came out from it.

Gate keeper : Give it to me. ( That gate keeper asked. )

Sein put the fangs on the gate keepers hand, then a small smirk appear on his face.

" You have passed the first trial, you can now pass through this gate. " After saying that gate keeper touched the bark of that giant tree.

A small door opened on that tree and revealed a path, gate keeper told him to go in.

Sein slowly entered through the door, on the other side of that door were whole different place. More like An entire different world.
