54 Chapter 54: Ellie's day

Few days later, I was dressed formally for the special birthday party the Helsteas and my family decided to throw for Ellie. I am wearing a formal wear very similar to tuxedos with a handkerchiefs wrapped underneath the collar and tied fashionably.

My brother Arthur is wearing the same thing, with a black suit and a white collared shirt underneath. With a gaudy blue scarf and windswept hair that was as messy as always to style it, we both looked like some sort flamboyant show dog.

Since the ballroom was located in the opposite wing from our rooms, Ellie had no idea that we were throwing her this party. She was under the assumption that the both of our families were going out to a fancy restaurant so she was excitedly getting ready with our mother and Lilia, who came back for the occasion.

Amaya was sleeping inside my room, since Vincent told us that there would be important guests to come, so no need for them to see my pet and add problems on problems, I already have enough to deal with. She resisted going to sleep until she had my verbal guarantee that I would save her some leftover food, expecialy eggs and meat.

"Welcome. Please come in." Putting on a gentlemanly smile, Art welcomed my little sister's lady friends she met at school, a duty we were assigned by my mother and that I ditched on my brother.

"Make sure to ask that boy for a dance later!" A parent said to her daughter.

"Oi princess..." I pocked his side with my elbow. "Do you do this intentionally or what?" I teased him.

"If your not going to help then leave." He kept a smiling face to welcome the guest, while his emotion were nothing like that smile.

"Hehehe..." I laughed at how forced he is to do this.

The attendees of my sister's party consisted of her female friends, the female friend's maids or chaperone, and either my parents friends or Vincent and Tabitha's friends. By eight in the evening, most of the people on the list had arrived and my mother notified the maid that she and my sister would be coming down shortly.

And when the room was finally full, the star of the party finally arrived. "Mom, why do I have to wear this unconfortable dress? I thought it was only a family dinner." Mom brought Ellies downstairs, hiding her eyes with a blindfold, and when she took it off...

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELEANOR!" Everyone shouted in unision.

Ellie's face brightned up, as the conjurers began making a sort of fireworks with magic, and music started playing. Everyone was having fun and laughting, until father walked up the stairs and asked for the attention of the audience.

"Please listen to me everyone, I want to thank you all of coming to my daughter's birthday, I really feel blessed with this family. But there is nothing that would bring me joy more than seeing my daughter having a dance with one of her brothers!" He annouced.

My face turned ugly the moment he said that. 'Father what the hell are you doing! No one in our family knows how to dance damn it!' I thought, facepalling myself.

As everyone was waiting for one of us to go, I used my super blending technisue to become almost invisible and hide from everyone present which was already hard due to my handsome face and features as well as my body frame. But fortunatly the man of difficult tasks walked up to the middle of the dancing plateform.

Arthur began dancing with Ellie in a very elegant manner and exeptionnal fashion, but what no one noticed is that he was helping Ellie with the movements using invisible wind magic.

*Sigh*

With a sight of relief I said to myself. "At least you saved the moment bro, no one is embarassed now."

Arthur went out to the balcony after a round of applause for the spectacular dance performance he showed, while I went to congratulate my sister and told her that her performance was really beautiful, lifting her spirit even more.

After that I went to join Arthur since there is no other one here my age, I would've loved to have a cousin, you know that cousin who goes crazy with you in family gatherings but you only see him once or twice per year. It's unfortunate that Arthur dosent have the same mind set as me, hes always calm and collected, while I just wanna have fun, laugh and prank.

Going out of the house, Lilia ran past me with an almost tearing expression. 'She came from where Arthur is did he... Oh my god that guy's is too much.'

Walking towards Arthur who had Gideon the scientist with him, I could hear their conversation from distance. "Your pretty popular with girls, that girl seemed to have a crush on you." Gideon said to Art.

"I know..." Arthur replied, taking a sip from his glass of juice.

"You seem to get along though, why didn't you do something about it?" Gideon inquired.

"She's a person who's life was changed by me, the feelings she have now are not love, but just gratitude... She will understand this when she grows older."

"Are you really 11 years old...?"

"Dont let this crying princess fool you, even if he looks this composed he actualy is forced to reject other girls, his girlfriend will beat him up to death if she finds him with another girl." I joked, interupting Gideon.

"Hoho, so this is the reason." He gave a teasing look to Arthur.

"Girlfriend? Who are you talking about?" He asked.

"Who am I talking about? Of course im talking about Tess." I crossed my hand with a grin.

"She's not my girlfriend! Besides it's the same for you, Elizabeth and Lucy won't like sharing you too!" He crossed his arms too with a satisfed smile, thinking he got me.

"Nah bro, Elizabeth is very kind and caring person, only talking with her would convince her, as for Lucy she is loyal, she would do anything I tell her... On the other hand, that tigress of yours would trear your balls appart if she find you with another girl haha!" I laughed.

"Tch, your annoying..." He turned to look back at the leaning on the balcony's fence with a defeated expression.

All the three of us had a short conversation about how Gideon want to get help from Arthur from time to time, and maybe some support or protection from my side in exchange of him being our benifactor in terms of artifacts and goods.

Of course this is a very interesting offer that I could never refuse, getting free stuff is always good thing. Especially from a well renowed crazy scientistd in a magic world.

After all that, it was finaly the presents opening time, after Ellie opened a whole bunch of them until reaching mine, a wrapped small orb.

"Huh? Whats is this?" She asked in curiosity.

"This my present Eleanor, I hope you like it." I softly rubbed her head.

Her eyes immedietly lit up in excitement. "If this is your present then im sure im going to love it!" She began opening the package.

"Meli, what is that?" She asked, holding in her hands a white ball, the size of a fist.

"This my dear Ellie is a mana core of a Wrym Pegasus, it is going to help you a lot for your assimilation so that you can quicky form your mana core and join us at Xyrus." I explained.

A big smile creapt on her face as she jumped on me with a koala hug almost dropping me down. "Thank you, thank you big brother! I love you sooo much." She rubbed her cheeks on mine.

"Glad you liked it Ellie." A small happy smile was on my face.

After my sister's birthday, my daily life had turned very repetitive. My birthday passed by as well, and although the Twin Horns couldn't make it, my and Arthur's birthday was nowhere near as grand as Ellie's but I had no qualms with that.

Only a few people aside from my and Lilia's family came, Gideon included, of course. He gave me a magical earing for protection that I stored in Amaya for later uses.

I spent a lot of time with my family over these past few months and, while Arthur got a lot closer with Gideon, he was a sincere and trustworthy person, that Art passed a lot of his time with.

If Art trust him then I do too, he is very good at judging people, however I hadn't indulged him in much besides my abilities as a mage of only fire affinitie, which he took as quite a shock since he heard a lot of my achievements, he thought I would be a dual or three elemental.

My birthday was, all in all, a quiet and pleasant time with my family, it was very unfortunate that my friends weren't here, it would've been a lot funnier, but I quickly went back into training, during this time I focus more on my body and sword techniques.

I sneak into beast glades to fight a few mana beasts only using sword techniqes, no magic, no mana and no body strenghtening. Only physical efforts, which gave it's fruits really early since my muscles grew bigger and I upgraded my sword fight and martial arts.
