38 Chapter 38: Plan B
"Looks like this beast is that strong, I guees I will have to go with plan 'B'. I thought.
Wipping the blood that flowed on my eyes, I started running fast around the minautor maintaining a distance between us creating five fire arrows around my head.
I fired the first three on its head and the other two on its torso where the heart is placed but it had no effect as expected.
The minautor seeing that I wasn't going to come any closer oppened it's mouth, mana started gathering at the tip of his opened jaw to turn into huge red fire spell that condensed into a fire ball.
"ROAAAR!"
The monster roared and shot that fire ball like a bullet. If that minautor's movements were slow then his magic attacks clearly aren't. The fire ball's shape was oval turned into a long big bullet due to its speed, it reached me in no time landing on my abs which resulted in a big explosion making the whole cave shake.
"DAMN IT! I should help Meliodas!" Ash was looking at me and tried to come in my direction but was stopped by a minautor and punched by another one instead.
"Just believe in him, he told us to concentrate on our fight so have some faith in him!" Lucy tried to get some sense back into Ash while she was blocking some of the minotors attacks using metal blocks.
She too wanted to help and protect Meliodas, she didn't stand seeing him getting hurt but she knew deep inside her that she would only be a weight on him. So all she could do is to help him by defeating those monsters here and trust his abilities.
While Ash was troubled and deep into though, a fire ball from the minotor was launched and succesfully made contact with his head.
"ASH!" Lucy worriedly cried.
Coming out of the smoke, his once long draids were now completely burnt and a few spots on his body as well, he menacingly gazed daggers to the minotor who shot him. "YOU...! I WLL MAKE YOU REGRET THIS!" He shouted.
It is the first the time this team has been in such a dire situation, and for beginners they were managing it very well. This just proves how talented these two were, and that I did the right choice by joining them to me.
*Cough* *Cough*
"This bastard is really strong." Barely able to stand up I get my dagger from the floor, but the monster was faster this time. It grabed me in its huge hand to slam me with full might on the ground making me litterly rebound and punched the shit out of me to get smashed on the other wall.
"Im starting to hate this." *Cough* I coughed a mouthful of saliva mixed with blood. Im sure that punch broke some of my bones there.
"Ash! I know you are occupied with those two but I will need you help!" I shouted while keeping my eyes on my enemy.
"Sure! what do you want" Ash said while dodging some punchs.
"I will draw that big guy's attention while you cast your strongest spell" I shouted.
"Are you sure, its a wide range spell, it can hurt you as well if you are close?" He explained.
"Trust me Ash!" I said with a smile
"A-all right man!" He replied after hesitating for some seconds.
The minautor jumped all the distance between us to reach me and throw a punch again, but this time the beast's fist was on fire.
I stopped his fist with my bare hands. the heat was burning my hand and clothes but I was still holding into the beast with a strong firm grip making my fingers go deep into its flesh.
"HAAAAAAAAAH!"
Shouting because of the physical effortt I was exercing, I lifted the whole minautor in the air to slam it face first on the floor.
While I was fighting that minotor and trying to weaken it as much as possible, Ash and Lucy stood back to back, ready to face the group of seven fire minotaurs that were left. The air was thick with tension as the minotaurs snorted and pawed the ground, their fiery hooves leaving scorch marks.
Ash clenched his chain, its links crackling with electricity, while arcs of lightning danced around his body. Lucy's eyes shimmered with a metallic glow as she extended her arms, forming blades of sharp, gleaming steel.
The minotaurs charged in a fiery frenzy, their roars echoing through the labyrinth. Ash swung his electrified chain, sending bolts of lightning streaking toward his foes. The minotaurs roared in pain as electricity surged through their fiery bodies, temporarily dousing their flames.
Lucy sprang into action, her metal controlling powers creating metal bars. She shaped big steel barriers that blocked the minotaur's path and redirected their fiery charges.
Amidst the chaos, Ash and Lucy coordinated their moves with a seamless dance of power. Ash lashed out with his electrified chain, incapacitating one minotaur after another. Lucy created weapons and shields from metal, ensuring their defense against the relentless assault.
As the last two minotaurs closed in, Lucy unleashed her ultimate move. She manipulated the dungeon walls, making a part of those walls come closer to each other at fast speed completely crushing the two beasts into ground meat thiner than paper. The pools of blood of the minotaurs defeated corpses invaded the place.
With their enemies defeated, Ash and Lucy stood victorious in the heart of the dungeon, triumphant in their incredible display of teamwork and elemental prowess. The cool and exciting fight against the fire minotaurs had showcased the true power of this dynamic duo.
But as the duo was about to celebrate their first real victory again a real dangerous enemy, a loud shout was heard from outside the cave in the forest.
"ASH! NOW!" My voice echoed in the cave.
"GOT IT!" Ash shouted back.
[THUNDER BOLT]
A thick yellow lighting landed from the sky on both the minautor and me hurting both of us badly, the minotor had a protection against fire not electriciy.
Barely able to stand up and hold my dagger in hand, and all of my clothes torn appart and burnt barely covering my privates. The minautor stood up with only with a few parts of its body burnt but nothing critical but its movement became glichy as it started slowly walking to my direction since the last attack affected it's movements.
Both Lucy and Ash were now watching my fight up from the cave and had scared expressions on their faces seeing my state and that the minotor was getting closer to me while im not moving.
Blood was coming out of every corner of my body, I started leaning forward to fall to the ground. And as Lucy and Ash were about to rush towards me in order to save me...
'I think this is enough.' I thought.
I suddently regained my balance and steadied myself strengthening the grip on my dagger. A strong wind wave started swirling around me making the trees and plants barely able so stay rooted on the ground, even the minautor was getting pulled towards me because of the wind. And when it was close enough to me...
[REVENGE COUNTER!]
I slashed through air creating a huge explosion destroying completely the minautor's body, not only the minotor was affected by the attack but even the mountain was destroyed and it's shape permantly changed.
Lucy covered herself alonside Ash with metal spheres to stay safe from the effects of this devestating attack. Only after the huge wave generated from this attack, she canceled her spell revealing the aftermath of it.
"W-what the fuck happened here" Ash asked himself.
"W-wow... He truly is amazing..." Lucy mumbeled under her breath.
Looking around they finally noticed me standing in the middle of nothing since all the trees were destroyed, and turning my gaze towards them I commented with a tired smile. "I-I did it guys..." Then I completely blacked out.
