17 Chapter 17: A forced parting

And we are back again, four months went by where I trained intensively many things at once. First of I had spars with Virion usin my dark power to get to know and control them better, each time I used them Virion was shocked by the oppressing evil aura I was emenating and the change of my personality from a cheerful nonchalent kid into an arrogant cold and heatleds person, bit with time I feel that I will be able to control it better.

Then comes the interesting part since thanks to Virion's guidance, I learnt to conceal the presence of my beast will, and I reached the first stage of my dragon will.

I also had spars with Art, he is slowly becoming a master of the sword and im getting close to him in terms of technique but when it come to strengh, speed and other physical traits im simply a beast.

And when I had nothing to do, I would have fun with Art, Tessia and Elizabeth. But I was spending most of my time with Elizabeth, during the last three years, our bond has grown to be very strong and we have a very good relationship. I even grew attached to her now that if it wasn't for the fact that im a teenager mentally I would be crying cause im leaving her.

Oh I almost forgot, not only I was the one to grow but also my companion Amaya that I consider as my daughter since she take me as her father. Can you believe it? Im a seven years old father, crazy. Now because of her size I can no longer use her as a bracelet, she leveled up to a necklace around my neck now.

All of this brings us to this day, the day me and Art are leaving the elven kingdom to go join our family in Xyrus.

"Hey, Mel! Hurry up! We're going to be late!" The cute Elizabeth is once again sitting shamlessly on my crouch.

"How many time have I told you to not wake me up like that? You really need a beating don't you?" I cried out holding her into a soft headlock to not hurt her

"Ahhh, I give up I give up" I let go of her patting her head.

"Can't there a gentler way of waking me up, Elizabeth?" I grumbled, massaging my neck while cracking it.

"It's getting harder and harder to wake you up in the morning! I have to do something, right? Besides, you should be grateful you have me waking you up every morning." She fluttered her eyes at me massaging her neck.

"Come here!" I jumped on her tickling her everywhere.

"Hahahaha!" We both laughted loudly.

I showered and changed into a more presentable robe after she left since its an important day, before heading out into the courtyard with Elizabeth.

"Finally awake now, eh Meliodas? How did your wife wake you up today? Hahaha!"Virion mused as he sipped his tea on the small table outside.

"Did your wife take good care of you Mel?" Art teased me.

"Yeah, she is taking good care of me, not like you beating you up everytime." I teased Art back who now have a vein on his head remembering the trauma he experienced these three years.

Luckily Tess wasn't here with us to hear what I said or she would've beaten the shit out of me, while Elizabeth who was standing behind me had her face and ears red.

"She's going to grow up into a fine woman, Meliodas. Better sweep her off her feet before it's too late," He chuckled, lifting his teacup in a toast.

"Haha, don't worry old man, I'll get my job done" I said with a goofy smile and an OK sign.

Elizabeth blushed even more and shouted not embarassed to even look up. "Grandpa, stooop!"

'Hehe so easy to tease.'

"Anyways brats today is the day you will leave right? Asked Virion while walking down the stairs with us following behind.

"Yes Grandpa" Answered Arthur.

"Yep" I said walking out of the castle towards the carriage waiting for us. Next to it are the king and queen, as well as Tess behind them who was crying because Arthur is leaving.

"Arthur! Meliodas! Remember to take care! We'll find some way to contact you somehow and update you. Take this with you so you can navigate through the Forest of Elshire if you're ever in the area, and if you come here again, just show it to the guards and they will escort you to the castle. Or maybe you can just find another princesses to lead you back." He winked at me and Arthur while handing both of us a small silver oval compass each.

"Uuu... Grandpa!!!" x2 The girls shouted.

"OUCH! Little ones! It was a joke! A joke!" Virion yelped while rubbing his sides.

"While Alduin and Merial will be going in a separate carriage as the heads of this kingdom, we won't. This will be the last time we'll see each other for now. Until next time, Arthur and Meliodas!" He grabbed both of us in a strong hug, almost knocking Sylvie off of Art's head.

"Goodbye Meliodas." Tess said before turning to Art and had a teary conversation with him.

"Goodbye princess and take care of yourself" I told her.

Then Elizabeth rushed running towards me and jumped with a hugged on me "Hic, hic, I'll miss you Mel! I'll miss you so much! Remember to come visit me again! Uu~ don't go chasing after human girls okay? Promise me, okay?" She sniffled, tears lining her beautiful blue eyes.

I held the hands of my dear friend together. "Haha don't worry Elizabeth, we'll see each other again! You better be stronger than me the next time we meet, okay? With Gramps teaching you, you have no excuse!"

I waved goodbye to the all of them and followed behind Merial and Alduin after they gave me a sympathetic smile. I hadn't really gotten the chance to spend much time with the King and Queen but we were more comfortable with each other now.

Art got on the carriage, but before going in, I turned back to the old man and shouted so that he hear me. "THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR EVERYTHING YOU DID FOR US, I WILL NEVER FORGET YOUR LOVE AND HELP AS LONG AS IM ALIVE!!"

The old man smiled saddly because of this forced parting, and he simply nodded his head. He truly is a man I love and respect. I consider you as my real grandpa, Virion.
