13 Chapter 13: Become my disciple

Once we entered the huge and magnificent castle, the queen ordered the maids to take us to our rooms so that we may rest and take showers, but Art stood up and said that he wanted to make things clear and explain what happened first.

And so this brings us to a spacious room where many soliders guarded the place. In the middle of the room is a long table beatifuly crafted with 8 chairs around.

I was facing the king with Arthur to my left side, on the king's right was the old man and on his left was his wife the queen then Tessia and finally Elizabeth at last.

Arthur was the first to talk, I prefer to leave the talk and politic shit to him since he was a king in his previous life like he explained, so he knows how to persuade people and gain their favor as well as their trust. "My name is Arthur Leywin and this right here is my twin brother Meliodas Leywin..."

"Yo!" I waved my hand with a smile gaining a small chuckle from the queen, while the king didn't like the nonchalent attitude I showed in front of him.

'He probably expected us to cower in fear and respect after knowing he is king, hell nah haha, in you dreams bro.' I jokingly thought with a smile that couldn't escape my face.

Arthur continued. "We come from a humble town and it is an honor to be in the presence of the royal family"

"You both seem mature and calm for someone from such humble origins. Verywell, I'd like to hear what happened." The king replied.

Arthur and I recounted what happened from the very beggining when we were separated from our parents and how I found their daughters who were getting kidnaped by the slave traders. Of course erasing the Sylvia part.

They had a hard time beliving that I defeated those bandits but the important thing is that their daughters were safe and sitting right in front of them.

"Anyways we wish to return to our family in sapin." Arthur firmly stated

"Your already leaving Arthur??!" Tess asked with a suprised expression.

"I don't think it's appropriate for a human such as myself to be inside this Kingdom for too long, Princess. Besides, I wish to make sure that my family is safe and tell them I'm okay as well" He answered, giving a sheepish smile.

Elizabeth looked at me with tears visible in her eyes, but she simply looked down in disapointement. Even though the period we were together was short, it was a very great experience where our friendship became very strong.

The King responds back to Arthur's demand. "It has been a couple hundred years since the last human has stepped foot into the Kingdom of Elenoir and you, are the first humans to be in the capital of this Kingdom, the City of Zestier.

However, saving our daughters and taking the trouble to accompany them all the way back to us entitles you with a proper reward..." The king took a moment to inhale some air, then continued.

"...Unfortunately, the teleportation gate linked with the Kingdom of Sapin opens only once every seven years, for the Summit Conference between the three races. Since the last Summit was two years ago, it'll be another five years until the gate will function," the King continued.

"However, we are more than willing to send a group of guards to escort you back home. You are correct that it may not be wise to stay in this kingdom for too long. While some are tolerant, many hold animosity towards humans because of the war long ago." He flashed a brief, sorrowful smile at this

I nodded in understanding.

"Well for now make yourselves at home and go rest, it wasn't an easy journey after all" The queen finaly expressed herself.

She snapped his finger and a maid came to guide us to our rooms giving us clothes to change.

I was done checking myself on the mirror when suddently someone knocked on the door.

"Coming!" I shouted.

Opening the door, I'm greeted by a pouting Elizabeth who was holding her hands infront of her waist.

"You dummy! Why did you act all unfriendly when you were with my family back there." She harrumphed, slipping past me and sitting on my bed.

"Well first of all, you didn't mention to me that you happened to be the princess of this entire kingdom." I explained to her.

"Meliodas! Forget that. I dont want you to leave, please stay here with me longer." The mood was getting a bit depressing, and I didn't want to see her sad like this so shaking my head, I gripped her hand and pulled her out of my room.

"Come on, show me around the castle! Its so big so im sure there is a lot of places to visit." I excitedy said.

As we continued walking, Elizabeth showed me a lot of cool places in the castle, it took us an hour and a half to visit the whole place leaving only one spot which is the guarden.

We finaly made it outside after a very long walk, in the courtyard at the back of the castle. We reached the guarden, and it was truly a sight to behold

"Wow, its so beautiful. I never saw something like that in my life." I looked at the place in awe and suprise.

"Hehehe, im happy you liked it. I like to come and take care of the plants here." She held her hands behind her back.

A mixture of colors and shapes the flowers had as well as their scent that filled my soul with tranquillity and calmness, but the best part were the floating orbs that were giving off a dim, luminescent glow, lighting up the well-kept garden in a gentle atmosphere. It was really something special and a unique experience.

While I was enjoying my time with my friend, a suddent blatant clear killing intent bombarded my senses. Milliseconds later a faint glimmer gave off the position of a projectile aimed at Elizabeth. I pushed the girl out of the way and I catched the projectile with a mana infused hand.

At that instant, a figure in black was facing my back, his right arm in a stance to attack. Grabbing the projectile, I immediately spun myself to block the assassin with whatever was thrown at me only to find him the old man I saw at that time I arrived here

"Hoho, looks like the old man still got some skills" I said.

Ignoring calling him an old man, he said, "Haha! Nice reaction, nice reaction! Even better than your brother. I didn't think you'd catch my little present and use it to block my next attack! Truly marvelous! However, your usage of mana was mediocre at best!"

He proceeded to throw me a wooden sword fit for my size as he took out a wooden sword of his own, just a bit bigger.

"Here I come!" Not even giving me the time to get in a stance or even the chance to accept his impromptu training, he dashed towards me.

I lowered stance and , instead of being defensive, I launched myself at him as well, accelerating my speed to throw off the timing of his swing. Aiming for his jaw, I swung upward, reinforcing my entire body.

Right before my sword came into contact with his face, I was met with only air as he disappeared from my sight.

Whipping my head back, I spotted him a couple meters apart from where I was standing.

"You're a scary little brat, aren't you? Looks like I'll have to be a bit more serious!" The grandpa smirked.

His speed increased even more as he threw many consecutive strike at me. I was able to block all of his moves thanks to my speed as well as mana reinforcing my body, but on the other hand even I couldn't hit him due to my lack of experience and skills.

This old bat was messing with me through sheer speed but I was able to keep up with him which suprised him a lot because my unnatural speed granted by my demon origins, along with the fact that, because of my size I was a small target.

After about five long minutes of a very hard and fast exchange of blows, I started noticing some patterns in the grandpa's attacks.

As he flashed behind me about to do a horizontal sweep to my legs, I put all of my strength into my legs and leaped back with my sword tucked into my armpit pointing at his head.

With a solid thud created from my blow landing, the old bat stumbled a little before gaining balance as he did a back kick that I barely blocked with the sword that shattered to a hundreds of pieces, throwing me 15 meters back.

"HAHAHAHA! I guess I deserved that one!" he laughed, rubbing his swollen forehead.

Throughout all of this, Elizabeth was surprised at first but after realizing it was just a spar, she settled down. She used this chance, though, to jump out and stomp towards the elder.

"Grandpa! You will hurt Mel like that! You should've gone easier on him!" Pouting on him.

"Haha I'm afraid if I went any easier on Meliodas here, he'd be the one bullying me!" He gently answered as he picked up his granddaughter.

He flashed in front of me and suddenly places his right palm into my head.

"Just as I thought. You are clearly stronger and faster than you brother, but he has better technique than you. Also your body has a very strong intimidating and opressing dark aura."

"Your mana manipulation is good for a beginner despite your age, but your sword techniques and fighting experience are not bad at best. But what suprised me the most was you speed and strengh that are unmatched for someone your age." He said rubbing his chin.

"I've decided. Meliodas, become my disciple!" He nodded.

"WHAT? Your gonna make him your disciple too?" Shouted Arthur out of nowhere throwing me entirely off guard.
