1 Awaken

"Pain. I can remember it as if it was yesterday. The first thing I ever felt, at least for what I can remember, was pain."

In a luxurious room lit by a few candels, lay on the floor a young boy. The bow was wearing a black jacket ornated with silver.

'Pain, so Painful. It hurts so much what is going on?' As he opened his eyes the young boy saw a whit chandelier hanging on the red ceiling.

The boy tried to get up, but as soon as he stood up the world al around him got blurry and turned around him. He closed his eyes and opened them again. This time the frits thing he saw was a red moquette decorated with alternating blue circles ant golden squares. The boy tried to sit on the floor taking al his time to not get dizzy this time.

Finally siting he looked in front of him. He saw a bed big enough to enable at least four or five people to lay down. Looking more on his right he saw a few pieces of furniture carved with utmost beauty. He looked right beside him noticing one half of a wardrobe broken on the four as the other half stand against the wall with a piece of stone as big as a basketball half pushed in the wall.

'Ahhh, it hurts' noticing that the pain came from his head the child put his hand behind it and felt a moist texture in his hair. Looking back at his hand covered in red the boy didn't seem to understand what it was. His thoughts were totally in chaos. He looked on his right seeing a few large windows with one of them broken. The Orange light coming from outside moved as if it was alive. It danced in the boy's eyes and had something hypnotizing.

A few minutes passed and bit by bit the boy could hear something. What was at start a buzzing sound turned into screams and weeps. Not knowing and understanding he crawled to the nearest window. Caught the masterfully carved edge of the window to help himself to stand and took a look outside.

The moon glowed of all its strength in the dark sky Infront of him. It was a particular sight indeed. The light which should come from the moon was overpowered by the red light coming from below. As his sight went down, the sight of a burning medieval city revealed itself.

The house in which the boy was one of the highest ones and was situated almost in the middle of the town. The middle of the town was surrounded by a inner wall and the rest of the houses were protected by a second outer wall. The inner part of the Town which was a lot smaller was clearly untouched by the flames while the outer part of the town was almost entirely on fire with smoke rising from everywhere.

the scenery put the boy in a trance for a few moments. As time flew by a few screams coming from below made him look down. From the third floor he could see about thirty men running in group. Most of them were equipped with gambesons and nasal helmets. Wearing this helmets looked like wearing a metal pot on the head with just a long narrow strip covering the nose and was honestly looking ridiculous. They were armed with lances about two meters tall. Among them two men were screaming at each other while a third just stood by. Those three were wearing full plate armours. The only thing that allowed to differentiate them were the weapons they had. One had a two-handed sword while the second a war hammer and was holding a banner. On the banner where two wolves seperated by an arrow to be seen. The one who stood by had a crest on his armor with the same picture as on the banner and was armed with a heater shield and a short sword.

The boy couldn't understand anything they were saying because of the distance but he understood they weren't having the time of their life. Eh looked behind and to the last part of the room he hadn't seen. He could see a door blocked behind a cupboard leaning against it to prevent the door from opening.
