Chapter 7

"Fuuuck… it's cold as fucking hell in here."

He slowly opened the door to his apartment, seemingly drained of any energy to spare for movement.

Looking down the hallway that the entrance lead from, his eyes quickly darted back and forth, looking at all the details of his place.

Ikkamiya was inspecting everything around him, to see if there were any signs of secret surveillance in his house.

After standing at the front entrance for a well over a minute, he resumed his movement.

Looking down at his feet, he slipped out of his shoes and kicked them both to his left.

He dropped his school bag next to them, before slowly bring himself to the floor.

Now on his stomach, he laid sprawled out.

Lazily, he kicked the door behind him, to close it.

"Fuuuuck school… I forgot how annoying it could be"

He reached his arms out in front of him, and pulled against the ground, to drag himself down the hallway.

"I just wanna sleep…"

Laying there spacing out, he heard a noise.

Not loud enough for any regular person to hear, but to him, it was crystal clear.

He still laid there, but his eyes now looked up, with a sharp squint.

The pupils of his eyes glowed, brightly, like a green star, screaming against blackness of the night sky.

He began to talk, to whoever was in his temporary home.

"So, the people who know me…"

Ikkamiya paused, for a moment.

"Often refer to me… as the 'All-Knowing'… or the 'All-Seeing'… those are both grand… mythical… names… right?"

He put his arms out, to lift off the ground.

"However, I think those names are… very misleading."

Now on his feet, he trudged forward, the floor beneath him creaked with each step.

Looking into the hallway, his eyes zoomed back and forth with speed, looking at each doorway.

"I really am neither of those, the reality of it is… my blessing simply lets me 'live in between each passing moment.'"

Walking forward, he passed the doorframe into the kitchen, which, by design was also his living room.

However, when he entered his kitchen, he relaxed.

His hands clung each side of the wooden frame now.

"I have lived… suffered, really… far beyond what my age really suggests, due to this."

He sighed, before looking at her with a bored expression.

"I don't see everything, or know everything, I just have the time to see… and know it all."

He paused, then said:

"You know the whole spiel by now, right Satsuki?"

She sat on his couch, her legs spread, to take as much space as possible.

A football match was on.

An Italy league match, more specifically.

"Yeah, I do. Now come and sit down."

He brought his arms to his side, and walked over to his fridge.

The moment she heard it clink open, her dark-purple braids twirled, in sync with the movement of her head.

"Oh… I ate all of the Calamari you had. Not really sorry."

Her bright orange eyes looked up at him, with the same bored expression as his.

She was almost identical to him, except she didn't have any beauty marks like he did.

There was barely any makeup on her face, except for eyeliner, and light-tan lipstick.

She restated her previous demand.

"Come sit down already."

Satsuki pat the seat next to her, which was still occupied by her leg.
