9 First Day of Work

The next morning, I woke up early and be prepared to go to work. On my first day, I wear a light blue dress and light make-up only. After getting ready, I going out of my room.

I looked around and everything was silent. I wondering if Ryan already goes to work or not. Then, suddenly a man's voice comes out from behind.

"Miss Ara, are you done? We can go now." Aaron said

"Oh, sure. Let's go. Um, did Ryan already going out?''

''Yeah. He came out early this morning and he drives by himself.''

''I see, umm...did I bother you? Because you normally going to work together with him.''

''No, it's fine. After all, this is also my job to send you to work on time.''

''Oh, okay.''

Along the way, I feel a little nervous and I can't imagine how will I start my works later. I just hope that everything was good.

"Miss Ara, are you nervous?" Aaron asks while driving.

"Huh? Oh, yeah... did it obvious?"

"It's okay, just relax. And good luck for your first day of works."

"Thank you, Mr. Aaron."

After an hour, they arrived at the office. But, Ara asks Aaron to drop her a little far from the office because she didn't want the other people to see her in the luxurious car.

I guess it will be a big problem if they know about me and Ryan, the chairman of this company.

"Mr. Aaron, thank you. I go in first. Bye!"

Aaron just grinning at her.

Ara walking to the building with an anxious feeling. But, she trying to calm her feeling and make a step with confidence. The only thing she hopes on her first day is to not come across with Ryan!

As soon as she reached there, she was amazed by the interior look at the office. There were many other employees who also work there.

Before that, there was someone that escort her going inside the office. She brings Ara to the designer department and introduces her to the other.

Then, she takes Ara to meet with their CEO Designer, Miss Elizabeth. When she meets with the Chief, she was stunned by her look. She looking very beautiful and have a slim tall figure.

"Good morning, Chief, this is your new employee in this department.''

The Chief just nodding her head as soon as she sees Ara. But Ara just standing there with an anxious feeling. She stood like a stone.

"Um, good morning...My name is... Ara... Ara Arianna."

She just looking at her with a deep stare. She didn't show any smile nor a question. Then, she just gives a sign to the other girl to go back.

"Follow me."

"Uh, okay."

Then, we reached her room office. I look around at her room. It looks nice and tidy. I was stood there and waiting for her next words.

"So, from now on, you will be my assistant. Please read this carefully and give me some ideas. I want to see all your works before work time ended.''

"Uh, okay. I will do it right now."

"Wait, make sure the result must have a different from the other."

"Okay, I will try to do it."

"Don't just try, just do the best."

"Okay, Chief."

Then I quickly go out of her room. And my heart was like to fall out when she fiercely look directly at me. I don't know if I can survive working with her later.

When I standing there for a while, all of sudden, a girl was reprimand me from behind. I was startled.

"Hi, are you a new designer employee?"

"Hi! Yes! Actually, just an assistant designer."

''It's okay, after this you will be the designer.'' She chuckles a little. I just smiling.

"Before that, let me introduce myself, my name is Emily. I'm a designer also.''

''Oh, I'm Ara Arianna. Nice to meet you.''

''Come, follow me. I'll show you where your workstation.''

"Alright.''

After few minutes, we reached my workstation. After that, she introduced me to all of our colleagues.

I suddenly feel curious after I heard some of them were shocked to see me as an assistant to our Chief department. I wonder if our Chief really that scary person. But, I hope it just a rumor only.

''Ara, if you have something to ask about the work, just tell me directly. My workstation beside you here only.''

''Oh, it glads you near me. Thank you, Emily.''

''It's okay, good luck!''

I take my seat and started the first task that she has given to me. I thought for a while there and suddenly remember how scary our Chief look like earlier. I think I must finish this works as soon as possible.

After a few hours, it almost to the lunch hour. I worry a little because our Chief was rejected my several ideas earlier and right now I need to do it again.

I was thinking hard there to give a more creative sketch. Actually, I need to design some jewelry of bracelets.

"Ara? Do you want to join us to go to lunch?"

"Um, it's okay. I still didn't finish my work.

"Oh yeah? Can't you continue it later?''

"Mmm... I don't think so.'' I give a sad face.

''If like that, I take out food for you later okay?''

"Alright, Thank you, Emily.''

"Welcome. I go out first.''

I pensively seating there and thinking hard to take some ideas. I already sketch many in the paper but she still not satisfied with it.

I took a moment from my seat and went for coffee in the pantry. I slowly walking there and take a look. There was no one is there.

Without Ara noticed there, Ryan saw her from afar. He actually was in the meeting room near the pantry. At that time, he was still in a meeting, and he trying to take a glance at her from far.

''Sir, what do you think about this event?'' Someone was asking him but he didn't hear it.

''Sir? Sir?''

''Huh? What? Please explain it again.''

''Okay.''

Later, their Chief was calling out for Ara to going inside her room. She walks toward her room with a heavy heart. She was afraid that their boss will angry at her and dissatisfied with her works.

As soon as Ara going into her room, she was surprised to see Ryan was inside too. She trying to make a calm face and try to avoid his look.

Since when he already here? Why didn't I notice him walking through my workstation earlier? Maybe I was too busy doing my work. He must be happy to see I'm busy on my first day of works.

''Um, chief? Did you call for me?''

''Yeah, I want to tell you that I choose this one of your designs. You may do your other work.''

''Alright, I do my works first.'' I slowly take my step out of there. For a second, I was the puzzle why didn't Chief introduce me to him. I mean, of course, I know him, but when at works place, we didn't know each other.

As I reached my workstation, suddenly all of my colleagues were gathering at my place. I was startled.

They were asking me many questions. And of course, most questions are about Ryan. They keep asking me why the Chairman of this company was inside in Chief's room too.

Anyway, I just keep my secret tightly and I just didn't answer their question gradually. I guess that Ryan was really famous in his own company.

After all, he looks perfect with a good looking, rich, smart, and so on. But they didn't know the real kind of person of him. His personalities are totally different from his appearance.

''Ara?'' Emily suddenly called.

''What?''

''Did you know our Chairman?''

''Our chairman? Did you mean of Ryan?''

''Huh?''

''Oh, I mean, Mr.Ryan? I don't know him. I have not yet introduced myself to him. after all, he is the chairman, so it is not obligatory for us to introduce ourselves to him.''

''But, we as the designer must be doing it because sometimes we will work together with him.''

''Oh, really??''

''It's okay, Ara. We will introduce to you at him when the time comes.''

''Okay, sure.'' My heartfelt like to fall out when Emily asks me about the question. I think I must be careful in the future. I was dead if they will find out the truth.

That night, I was lying down on my bed. My head was in ache because of the many works I have to do on my first day of works. I really can't imagine that my first day of work like this and it really looks like a disaster.

Anyway, even I doing many things today, I was very happy because I do the job I love. I just hope after this I can gain more experience as a jewelry designer.
