Five

Today is finally the holidays but instead of resting or enjoying my holidays I'm going to train with Louise. We've been walking for 2 hours and I can't take it anymore.

"Where are we going Louise?" I don't trust this woman at all. She's still waiting for Rose to do everything and then I'm sure something weird will happen.

"You'll laugh but I think we're lost" she said scratching her head.

" No, that's not possible Louise, you're not supposed to have a map," I said angrily.

"Well normally I do but I forgot the map at home and it's too late to go back."

Killing people is bad but if I could, I would kill her. How did she even get us lost. Hugh...

" That's not possible, Louise," I sigh. "do you even know where we're going?"

" Yes, we're supposed to go to the Red Dragon Mountain."

" I suggest asking passers-by, maybe they know."

We started to ask people for like 1 hour before an old lady came near us, she was kinda weird and I think she needs help. I went next to her and asked her if she needed help.

" I want to go to the Red dragon mountain but I can't go alone."

Is this a coincidence? I'm lucky today.

" Of course ma'am were going with you."

The old lady starts to move really fast and it becomes complicated to follow her .We end up having to run to catch her and for an hour, we follow the old lady without stopping. She is in better shape than we are, I am disappointed in myself. We arrive in front of a mountain and then the old lady disappears.

Was I talking to a ghost? How did she disappear and where is Louise? I take the time to observe. The mountain is really huge, with lots of trees and there is a fog that prevents us from seeing the top of the mountain.

I just started to walk in this huge forest. Maybe there is something at the top of it. I walk for like 30 minutes before something attacks me but I dodge it . I look closely at it, it's a human or a dragon, a mix of these two . It reminds me a little bit of Ayumi but it's not the moment to think about her.

The human dragon starts to run after me. The heck did I do? Today is really not my lucky day. I run until I don't see him and stop to rest. Am I cursed or something like that , there is just bad thing that happened to me.

After resting I kept going up , the higher I got the more enemies there were. I try not to hurt them badly and finally I get to the top and there is a little house. I decide to go there and I see Louise and the old lady from earlier having a cup of tea on a terrace.

" You're serious Louise, I thought you were dead" I said angrily. She is just making fun of me.

"You're really underestimating me , we've been watching you"

The old lady keeps looking at me while drinking her cup of tea , before talking to me.

"You met the mountain guardian and you are still alive, you are really lucky. " I'm surprised after hearing this. I could have died so stupidly.

I'm already starting to hate coming here, how could they watch me and never helped me.

"What will my training consist of?" I hope it's something good.

"For the moment it will be to increase your muscular strength. You look rather frail and besides look at your arms even a breadstick is bigger than that."

"You're touching my sensitivity grandma" I say hurt by what she said. I'm not that skinny after all.

"You can go change, it's almost dinner time."

I leave the room and head for the shower. It's strangely small in this house and then there are only two rooms. I walk into the bathroom and turn on the water before entering.

The water is freezing. I thought there would be hot water, but no problem. I get out of the bathroom with a towel and take the things in my bag to get dressed and went into the kitchen.

When I get there. I see a pool of blood and the grandmother on the kitchen floor and I hurry to see what is going on.

"What happened here?" I say in a panic, how could a murder have happened here?

"I tried to cook but it didn't go as planned," says Louise.

"Yes, but what is that on the floor?" I always knew that despite her sweet demeanour Louise was an assassin.

"Oh that's tomato sauce , the old lady slipped on it and fell," she says laughing. Oh that's just it, I'm disappointed.

Louise takes the old lady with her, then I clean up the mess Louise has made and with the remaining ingredients I make a vegetable soup.

"The meal is ready, come and eat"

The old lady and Louise come to eat. She sits down then looks at the dish as if I had poisoned it, to tell the truth after what he made me do today I could have done it.

"You made a vegetable soup that looks good."

The grandma starts to eat and she thinks it's very good and Louise does the same.

" It taste really good." Louise says as she eats quickly , then she asks me to give her more.

"It's normal because I prepared it", I say proudly.

"Well, from tomorrow we're going to start training seriously, you understand Ava". The grandmother's voice brings me back to reality.

"Yes I understand, I'm going to sleep, I've been walking and running all day". I am really sleepy now.

"Good night" said the old lady.

"Sleep well, give me a kiss", Says Louise as she comes closer to me.

"No, I'm too old for that, Louise, stop being a baby". Frankly sometimes she gets on my nerves.

"Yes I understand, after all you are grown up now", she has tears in her eyes. I hurt her feelings but it's not my fault anyway.

I go to one of the two rooms in the house and fall asleep thinking about Ayumi again. I still don't understand what's wrong with her. In the night Louise crawls into bed with me but I pretend it's nothing.

The next morning, we have breakfast in a good mood, then we decide to go out to start training. I have to admit that I'm barely awake but everything is going well.

"What is the training going to be like?" I ask eagerly to begin.

"You see that katana Ava" she points to the katana on the floor. It's really beautiful, it has a red sheath with black stripes and feels like there is a lot of magic in it. I nod my head to say yes.

"I'll give you a week to lift it and you won't be able to use your magic." She underestimates me, that old lady, even though I can do it.

"That's all, it won't be difficult in this case. "I say proudly.

I approach the katana and try to lift it, but I can't move it an inch, does it weigh a ton or what?

"It's really heavy, how am I supposed to lift it?" I feel like I'm being played for a fool.

"Well, that's your problem, good luck," said the grandmother before leaving.
