66 Ch. 61 - Maximoff siblings

"What's happening, Pietro?" Inside a white but dark room, two children, one male and the other is a female was cowering in the corner while shaking in fear.

"I-I don't know, but no matter what happens, I'll always protect you." The male child named Pietro said in a determined tone but his face cannot hide the fear he is feeling right now.

They were just some normal kids when their house were suddenly bombed by an explosion, killing both their mother and father, leaving the both of them alive. However, just when they hid under a bed, another missile fell in their house and landed exactly in front of them. Just when they thought that they would die, the missle didn't go off and stayed quiet, which gave them the time to read the words written in the missile, which reads 'Stark Industries'.

Ever since then, they've been harboring hate towards the person behind the missile, especially a man with a Stark in their names. They don't know anyone by the name of Stark but they're smart enough to know that Stark Industries is a company and the person behind that company must've been the culprit who ordered to bomb their home.

As they wandered around, they realized that they weren't the only victims as there are also other people who lost their homes and loved one.

They were brought to a nearby orphanage where everyone who survived gathered and waited for the rescue or assistance of Sokovia's government or maybe it's allies.

Unfortunately, a group of people came in and introduced some kind of rescue operation and needed some volunteers, and with Pietro and Wanda's good hearts, they volunteered to help, not knowing that they're walking into a trap that the Hydra created.

It was already late when they realized that they were kidnapped when the Hydra put them into sleep and the moment they woke up, they found themselves in an isolated room, luckily, their room were next to each other so they managed to comfort each other.

In the present time, the loud explosions and footsteps has woken them up as yesterday they were brought to a room where they were forced to endure many kinds of tortures but not that much as it is just mostly stabbing and pinching their skins as they're still kids after all and can't handle a torture that would definitely kill them.

"What going on, Pietro?" Wanda didn't even bother to stay idle as she immediately sat on the bed and looked around in fear, thinking that she'll suffer another set of torture.

"I have no idea but I could feel they're ignoring us." Pietro answered from next room beside hers.

"I'm scared." Wanda expressed as she caressed her bruises and wounds that has been patched up by the medic yesterday.

"Me too, but we should stay strong. I think they're doing this to us for a reason." Pietro tried to comfort her like usual.

"Hey, do you remember that certain movie that we watched? There's this man who was tortured by some people then it turns out, he was being trained into becoming an Agent and became so cool." Pietro said as Wanda's eyes gleamed in happiness.

"Yes! I remember that, he was so cool! I wish I was like him now. So I could beat everyone here with bare hands! Then-then, there's also this scene where he was beating a woman in bed without clothes, right? That scene was so cool that I could feel my hairs standing up!" Wanda said in excitement as Pietro almost choked in the last sentence.

"Y-yeah, but we don't talk about that, okay?" Pietro's mouth twitched as only he knew about that scene besides their parents.

"O-okay." Wanda was weirded out but since her brother told her so, then she'll accede.

"We have identified the attackers! It seems like there's only two of them?" The person in charge of the camera was confused and shocked when he saw that the cameras attached to the soldiers that they ordered to attack finally saw the culprit or culprits.

"Two people? Are you kidding me? Did you really think this world is outrageous that two people could attack a secret base full of trained agents?" Strucker frowned and asked rhetoricallly.

'Doesn't matter, he's just one man along with his companion, this is my territory and since it is my territory then I have the absolute power here!' Strucker clenched his fist as he prepared himself to go out and hide in a secret bunker when two weird structures with a pointy tip suddenly penetrated through the metallic wall.

"What?" Was the only thing that Strucker managed to utter when the entire metallic wall was suddenly blasted out into ruins, killing most of the Hydras near them while Strucker was blasted away, though he survived, he suffered serious injuries that would incapacitate him in the meantime.

"Top of the morning to y'all." The Joker that Strucker has been fearing earlier turned out to be the case as Doflamingo walked in casually followed by a woman with glowing red hands and eyes.

"You sure you could control them?" Doflamingo expressed his worries as earlier, Doflamingo told her to stay put and let him do the rescue operations as she isn't really that much experienced in fighting large groups and besides, the facility they're about to raid isn't exactly your normal organization but a very large organization that has terrorized the entire world during World War 2. Not only that, Natalya doesn't even have an Observation Haki to dodge the speeding bullets. Magician or Not, unless you're the Ancient One or some other Masters, it is impossible to dodge bullets, only defend yourself from it.

"With my current state, I think my adrenaline is giving me an easy way to control it." Natalya breathed in as she can't wait but to reunite with her children and hug them to her arms once again.

"Alright, how about you handle those who escaped, I'll deal with this man for a while first." Doflamingo said as Natalya nodded her head and went out.

Doflamingo then turned his head to Strucker who has been staring at him as soon as he came in.

"How's it going? You like my gift?" Doflamingo said while he spread his arms, showing the destruction that he and Natalya caused.

"....Those abilities that you have." While breathing heavily, Strucker still found himself asking the question that has been bugging him ever since he found out about Doflamingo.

"Hm?" Doflamingo raised his eyebrows at the sudden question.

"Did you get genetically or hereditary? Perhaps you're some kind of an extraterrestrial being outside of planet earth." Strucker stated his assumptions as Doflamingo finally realized why he asked this.

Because he's a scientist that's why. Doflamingo knew that there are scientists out there that are ready to sacrifice their lives in order to unveil the mystery that they have been searching for, throughout their entire life. It turns out Strucker seems to be one of them.

"That's a secret of mine. But since you asked, I'll tell you. I got it from God." Doflamingo said while he pointed his finger upwards.

"...God isn't real." Strucker sighed in disappointment as he argued Doflamingo's answer.

"Perhaps you're right but we'll only see it after this." Doflamingo shrugged his shoulders and said before pointing his Kagune towards Strucker.

"Say hello to him for me." Doflamingo smiled and manipulated his Kagune to stab Strucker's abdomen and threw him across the room, damaging some broken equipments and probably caused some sparks, shocking Strucker's dead body.

"Natalya should be done by now." Doflamingo muttered and walked out of the room and the moment he did, he was met with an utter mess as bloods and organs can be seen around either painted on the walls or dangling on the edges.

'I didn't expect her to be this ruthless, either she's been hiding this from me or she became this ruthless just for today because they kidnapped her children. Doesn't matter, as long as she isn't an obstacle to my goals then she'll always be my family.' Doflamingo said to himself as he finally arrived at Natalya's location and saw that she was surrounded by 5 men dressed in black clothes as if they're some kind of ninja.

'They're indeed ninja, those are the Hand.' Doflamingo slapped his forehead and said to himself before standing on the sidelines, wanting to see how Natalya will handle this.

'Well, if something bad happens, I could always intervene and finish the Hands in a single move.' Doflamingo said as he already started thinking to himself on which move should he use in case he has to intervene. Would he use the Conqueror's Haki or finish them with a magic spell of his.

'I should look for the Maximoff Siblings in the meantime, who knows what can a Butterfly Effect do, maybe they're already dead or something. Then this operation could be called both a failure and a success.' Doflamingo then spread his senses and found several locked rooms, each having a single life from them.

With Doflamingo's improvement in observation Haki, he could already picture the shapes and outlines of those that he sensed. He found out that most of them were adults except for two kids that are close to each other.

"It's probably them." Doflamingo then glanced at Natalya who were busy fighting the Hand ninjas without using her Chaos Magic.

'She's either afraid that she'll cause more destruction and might accidentally involve her kids with the Chaos Magi or she has ran out of juice and was forced to resolve in physical attack.' Doflamingo said before making up his mind.

'This is a good training to her after all, she's neglecting her physical exercise.' Doflamingo shrugged his shoulders before opening a portal that leads near the Maximoff sibling's room.

"Time to meet some kids with the potential to become my family." Doflamingo said to himself as he heard the cries of the caged people around him, asking for help it asking to end their suffering.
