God in mordern attire

As the light slowly faded Atharva lowered his arm to see what caused this explosion of bright light.

As his eyes focused he saw a man in royal blue suit usually worn in high end parties and occasions his hair brown and shiny his face a typical indian brown shade and his eyes, his eyes were the most special they were Gold, and I don't mean just the iris, his iris plus sclera were golden and it was hard to distinguish weather he had irises or not, it kinda looked scary, but there was a soothing aura comming from him, it was not the same aura shown in cartoons or animes it was a feeling an intangible unseen feeling of being cared like a mother's.

Upon seeing me he smiled a toothy grin and said "Hello! a God comes to meet you and you just stand there mouth hanging open" Raising an eyebrow.

I come out of my stupor and look at him from top to bottom, trying to find out if I was drunk without drinking alcohol or is this my end?

He let out a laugh and said "Do you think I would kill you just as I brought you into this universe. And taking lives is 'Yumraj's job' anyway"

"Yumraj Do you mean the god who comes to reap your soul as in that Yamraj??" Atharva could only ask this question, although he had many, but hearing Yumraj's name he put a halt to those and asked this important question. "Who are you?"

The man claiming to be the god only said one word

"Brahma"

"Stop kidding me, you can't be Brahma, he doesnot look anything like you" Atharva said in suspision and a bit of annoyance, in continuation he said "Where are the cameras, is this a prank by Aman or mom or is this some stupid youtub er that wants to be viral" Atharva started looking around for any signs of cameras or his friend.

The golden eyed man shook his head and said "It seems I'll need to show you my 'virat roop' just like another god did years ago"

Saying that the light in his eyes brightened so much that Atharva had to cover his eyes once again,

Upon opening his eyes once again he saw a sight that he would never forget in the life

Infront of him stood the god Brahma himself, from childhood he had seen the same attire and a thing that no human could fake were his four heads in all four directions and the divine aura oozing from him, No matter how much Atharva tried to deny he had to believe that this really was God Brahma.

But God Brahma changed his form to the previous blue suit one saying "You'll not be able to handle the brilliance much longer in that form, Now do you believe me?" Brahma asked

Atharva fell down to his knees and joined his hands and payed his respect(Naman) to the God in the traditional way.

Brahma nodded.

"My lord why did you bring me to this world?" Atharva asked still on his knees but now looking up to Brahma.

"You see," Brahma started explaining " In your previous world there was a stability factor so that all gods had their area to rule over, but in this universe you know as MCU there is no such balancing factor and Norse gods like odin took advantage to descend to this world in lower life forms, These lower life forms are the ones you have seen in the movies, otherwise these gods have enough power to enhilate entire earth in one macro second, to descend they had to give up majority of their powers."

Atharva asked a question that bugged him while listening "But why did they give up powers to descend? it seems like a bad choice"

Brahma shaked his head and explained like a teacher does to a child " By giving up majority of their powers they descended and so they could appear in front of humans freely without many restrictions, and doing so allows them to enlarge their area of influence, just think when in future gods like loki and thor will come to earth what will indians think? They will think that Norse gods have appeared but indian/Hindu gods have yet to appear which means they are false and are not real, This will lead to uprooting of their belief in us and this belief is the reason for our existence, till people keep believing in us we will remain immortal and alive.

Atharva understood the concept then asked "But why don't the indian gods descend like the norse gods? Is not loosing power more important than survival?"

Brahma showed an annoyed expression and said "We would if we could, but the rift that helps us descend has already passed and will not arrive again untill next milenium but untill then it will be too late.

You see even we could not descend ourselves we could make an Avatar of one of us that helps us maintain our influence,but that avatar wouldn't be able to compete with those norse gods, so then your name sake gave us an idea".

"Wait my namesake, do you mean Ganesha?" Cause Atharva also means Ganesha.

Brahma nodded "Yeah that smart elephant head proposed an idea that why don't we find a human from a stable universe and bring him here, that way we could each give that soul which would be you some of our powers and you will help us enlarge our influence.

"But why me?" Atharva asked in confusion Brahma readily answered him "Becasue you met the criteria, you were from a stable universe your age was ideal and you knew about us and the luck is also a factor".

Now, that you know why you are here let me give you a breif intro to your powers, We cannot give you our powers at once, if we do that no matter how pure your body is it'll burst from the exess divine energy, so, we will slowly give you our powers when the time comes in the form of sponsorship".

At Atharva's confused expression he cleared "You will get a basic subscription from lower divine beings that have dilute divine energy and after you slowly become accustomed to it you will get sponsorship from higher gods like Ganesha".

Brahma then looked around and the room as if seeing something floating in the air and said in a happy voice "Look you have your first sponsor already".

Before Atharva could ask what he meant a transparent screen appeared infront of his eyes which said

•Status- Demi God

Karna is interested in you and your love to your family, He values relations and is willing to lend you some of his powers to protect what is close to your heart

•Name- The Black Armor

Description- This is a morden version of 'The Golden Armor' Said to be given by 'The Great Sun God' himself worn by Karna It is said to block most of the physical attacks

•Ps- It would not do to wear a golden armor in this age, this will also help you being stealthy and look cool.

Atharva could only look in fascination at the screen and its contents, Looking at God Brahma he said "Is this a system".

Brahma shows an expression of disgust and says "No this is not one of those devil spawn system, this is just a status screen to help you know who the sponsor is and what his given ability does".

Brahma then clears his throat and says in a serious voice "Atharva we are counting on you to spread our name, you must start slowly and show your powers infront of the world and set the dominance infront of those norse gods, I'll now take my leave otherwise those norse gods will sense my presence, Good luck" After which God brahma vanished into air.

The only thing reminding Atharva that all that talk was not some hallucination was the status screen.

He heavily sits on the bed and releases a sigh, it is taxing being in the presence of A Supreme God.

But before his body could stop the adrenaline release the status screen once again changed signalling a new sponsor who was.....

A/N: Find out in the next chapter, This one might be a bit short but I felt it would become overwhelming to some, let me givesome basic info on the level of Gods

Supreme Gods: Brahma, and two others.

Great gods: Ganesh, Sun god and many others.

Demi Gods: Like Karna and the God who will sponsor him in the next chapter.

Avatar: Originally meant the incarnations of the supreme Gods but in this story it means Atharva and The norse gods like loki and thor and odin.
