Confronted by Mr. and Mrs. Huang (1)

'Ping!'

A chime sounded from her phone that she tossed to the bed.

Shu Xin merely swept a glance at it but didn't rush to look at who was the sender and what was the content of the message as she opened the bathroom. She planned to take a bath after a long night in the club and tossing around in bed with some stranger.

When she took her clothes off, her well-toned body was soon revealed, two lumps of flesh bounced gently as she took off her bra, and next, she finally stood naked under the shower.

The sound of water continued inside the bathroom until Shu Xin finally turned the water off. Wiping the foggy mirror and looked at her reflection.

There, in front of her, stood a young woman, at the age of nineteen. She had long hair that went past her dainty slim waist, slightly tanned skin due to being under the sun for an extended amount of time, and a beautiful face.

All in all, the young woman in the mirror was born naturally beautiful and tall with a good figure that would make any woman envy her.

However, if one were to get a closer look, one would be extremely shocked when they see the scars on her body. There were at least two scars that were quite obvious. One was on her right shoulder, and the other was on her lower waist.

The one on her waist was quite thicker and darker than the one on her shoulder. There were also several tiny scars that weren't as visible as the other two. They looked like they were gained by her several years ago because of how faint and smooth those scars were compared to the new ones.

Shu Xin reached out her hand to touch the one on her shoulder. She flinched as she felt a slight pain when her fingers pressed on it.

While touching her shoulder, her fingers started to trace the red marks that were scattered all over her neck, chest, and waist. Shu Xin looked down at her legs, and there, she could see the same red marks on her outer and inner thighs.

"Ha... Was he planning to eat me whole last night?" Shu Xin's eyes narrowed when she remembered how she was kissed and bitten all over her body by the man she slept with last night.

After wrapping her body with a towel and drying herself, she finally changed to the clothes she had worn earlier. The closet in the room was empty, and she only brought the clothes she was wearing there so, there was no way she could change into a new one.

And just as she finished, the door to her room suddenly made a sound as if someone was forcefully pushing it as though they expected her not to lock it and let them freely go inside the room without her permission.

When Auntie Mo realized that the door was locked, she was fuming and wanted to kick the door. In her heart, she was already treating Shu Xin as a lowly servant whom she could just bully because she came from the countryside.

But of course, her attempt to bully Shu Xin failed as the door did not budge.

"Open the door. Mr. Huang and Mrs. Haung are looking for you." Auntie Mo grounded out.

Inside the room, Shu Xin lazily glanced at the closed door and turned to look at her phone that was tossed on the bed.

She swiped the screen and entered a string of numbers and letters, and soon, it unlocked.

[Why didn't you tell me you're coming to the Mainland? Tell me where you are staying. I'll go there as soon as possible so we can hang out and drink.]

Shu Xin finished reading the message and was about to reply when the door made a banging sound as if someone was hitting it with their fist.

Her eyes darkened, and she frowned.

"What do you want?" Pulling the door open, she asked the old maid standing before the door and who was about to harshly knock it.

"Hmph! Don't tell me you didn't hear me when I said that both Mr. and Mrs. Huang is waiting downstairs for you?" Auntie Mo condescendingly looked down at the young woman standing before her.

However, the old maid just noticed that Shu Xin was taller than her. Hence, instead of looking down arrogantly at the newcomer, the old maid had to crane her neck to look up at Shu Xin.

"I could only hear a Gorilla banging the door so, I didn't hear it. Maybe next time, knock softly, or else, you might need to give up your salary if you broke the door." Shu Xin told her.

Not waiting for the old maid to react and snap out of her daze after being compared to a Gorilla, Shu Xin relied on her memory and walked downstairs. She wasn't in a hurry at all as she took her sweet time to go down.

When she arrived at the living room, she saw Huang Ronghao and Ellen Lin, the family's current head and his wife.

They wore their formal clothing as though they had an appointment to an important gathering. However, their faces were stiff and filled with arrogance when they saw Shu Xin approaching them.

"Miss Shu." Huang Ronghao greeted her reluctantly.

"Mr. Huang." Shu Xin also greeted him in the same manner and invited herself to sit on the couch.

"I heard you spent a night at the Jade Crown hotel?"

Shu Xin didn't even glance at Secretary Zhang, who stood in the corner. She already knew he was the only one who could tattle on where she was last night.

Shu Xin nodded her head.

"Do you know what you have done?" Huang Ronghao's nostrils flared as his anger started to rise up from his stomach.

Shu Xin shrugged. "I spent the night there."

This time, Huang Ronghao couldn't control his anger and roared at her. "How dare you spend a night there without even telling me! Do you even know how much is a night there?!"

Shu Xin had already searched it online when she was in the car with Secretary Zhang after seeing his reactions. So, she found out how much was a night there. Of course, she was surprised when she saw the price, but she wasn't particularly affected by it.

It was just half a million-dollar, anyway.

"What of it?" She titled her head. She couldn't understand where Huang Ronghao was going and why he had to roar at her like a pissed drunk old man. "And why are you angry when I didn't use your money to pay for it?"

Silence descended in the living room as everyone didn't think that Shu Xin would actually say these words.

They were all looking at her with wide eyes and parted lips as if she was a monster. 程潇
