Issac shivered in the cold yet he gritted his teeth and hardened his resolve. The Fae was currently kneeling in the courtyard, not caring about the snow that seeped through his clothes to chill him.

Aldric has not talked to him since the night of the incident nor called for him and it dawned on him that the dark Fae prince was giving him the silent treatment on purpose. So here he was punishing himself and as well, trying to draw Aldric's attention. 

He hated Aldric's silence because he couldn't tell what was on his mind. Has the prince gone back on his promise of not touching his family and would punish him by harming his loved ones? So yes, he was desperate and needed to do something.
