62 A little lie

One week later.......

Jax looked at the Alphas in front of him and clenched his fists in anger. They were all looking at him, their gazes were a mix of pity, mockery and amusement.

They already looked down at him because his pack was one of the poorest and most pathetic packs in the region, now they had another reason to mock him too, and it was all Lily's fault.

"As soon as the child is born, she shall be imprisoned. In the mean time, we will question her about the plant. Please tell her not to even think of running away, she has nowhere to go. Her brother has denounced her from the family and pack."

"She won't run away, I will keep an eye on her."

"Because you have done a fine job of keeping an eye on her so far." one of the Alphas remarked while the rest laughed.

"We are leaving now, keep her in check otherwise we will imprison her now not withstanding the pregnancy."
