24 LOSING ANOTHER MATE

Axel's pov...............

After debating and arguing for a while,we finally decided on who should stay behind and who should go to rescue Alia.

Kiera,Jude and Selena were staying behind to take care of Kai and Julia, Cary and Sue were also staying behind.

Cary grumbled "Am not still comfortable with staying behind".

Kiera walked up to meet him "But you are hurt,you can't go".

He frowned "Yeah.....Yeah but at least let me help you guys".

He stretched forth his hands and a portal appeared "This portal will lead you guys to where Alia is".

I nodded and put his hands on Cary's shoulders "Thank you brother".

Myself, Hunter, Sydney and Sia went through the portal and appeared in a forest and what I saw would have scared the shit out of me if I wasn't already used to all those kinds of things. Before us layed up to a hundred battered dead bodies and there stood Alia, finishing the remains of one of her victims, she was in her wolf form and she looked so.....EVIL!.

Hunter gasped "I'll go speak with her". He walked up to her but she sighted him and then got ready to pounce on him.

"Alia" He said in such a deep commanding voice that she stopped in her tracks.

He sighed "Look Alia,I know you're in there somewhere,it's me Hunter,your mate" but then she gritted her teeth and bared her claws.

I shook my head "Hunter I think that's enough".

But instead of stepping back,he took some steps forward and stared directly into Alia's wolf eyes "I know you won't hurt me Alia, your love for me won't let you".

Alia cocked her head to her side and at that moment, I thought she had come back to her senses but then she smirked "Unfortunately for you Darling, your dear Alia is gone" She lunged at him but he quickly dodged it looking utterly shocked.

Just then, Alia went on a rampage "I'll kill all of you" She groaned "All of you".

She lunged at us,I was able to avoid it and so was Sia but Sydney was not so lucky, Alia grabbed Sydney by her neck.

"Stop Alia" Hunter groaned.

She gritted her teeth "Am not Alia,can't you understand that" She tightened her grip on Sydney's neck and Sydney winced in pain.

Sabastien winced '(YOU HAVE TO STOP HER AXEL, SHE'S HURTING OUR MATE)'.

'But there is nothing I can do Sabastien, the only way to save Sydney is to kill Alia and I can't do that'.

Sabastien groaned '(HOW DID WE END UP IN THIS KIND OF SITUATION)'.

Hunter suddenly stretched forth his hands and a sword appeared.

'(DON'T TELL ME HIS ABOUT TO DO WHAT I THINK HIS ABOUT TO DO)'.

"Hunter........

"She's gone" He whimpered "Alia is gone".

I shook my head "We can still save her".

He faced me "We both know that that's impossible, a person who has no essence can never be revived".

"But....

"I can't let more people die Axel, I can't be selfish". But I needed to do something, I couldn't let Hunter kill his mate.

'(YOU CAN'T LET HIM KILL HER AXEL, DON'T FORGET THAT SHE IS PREGNANT)'.

YES! Maybe if I told him that she was pregnant then he would understand and spare her life.

"Hunter, you can't......

But I was already too late, I heard a loud gasp and blood spilled out of Alia's mouth as she released her grip on Sydney's neck. Hunter withdrew the sword in her body and caught her when she suddenly turned to human form and collapsed.

"Hunter" She croaked and it was then I realized that it was Alia's voice, she was back to her normal self.

"Am sorry" Hunter whispered to her.

She nodded "It's fine" but then she touched her stomach "It's just a shame that our baby was not yet brought into this world before all this happened".

Hunter's eyes widened "B...Ba...Baby?".

Alia took Hunter's hands and placed them on her stomach "I wanted to tell you but I was scared that you didn't want a baby .....after what you had told me".

Hunter shook his head "No...that was before but I want a baby Alia, I have been waiting for a long time for one, I have even decided on the names to give them if it was gonna be a boy or a girl".

"Am sorry Hunter, I should have told you since, i never thought that my life would end like this" and she choked out blood.

"No....No....No....don't say that".

She used her bloody hands to rub Hunter's cheeks and kissed him briefly "Am going now Hunter but just know that I will always love you" and she closed her eyes.

"Alia....No......" Hunter placed his head on hers as she began to dissolve.

I grunted in pain as one of the strips on my arm started glowing red.

"Are you okay" Sydney attempted to touch me but I pushed her hands away "Am fine".

I walked up to Hunter who was still on his knees "Hunter, I.......

He suddenly stood up "Let's go home".

We arrived home to see the others patiently waiting for us, Julia was now awake and sitted on a couch sipping a glass of juice.

"Julia" I said happily.

She came down from her couch and ran to hug me "Brother".

"Am so glad you're okay".

"Hunter......

Hunter walked up to a couch and sat down looking as dumbfounded as ever.

Julia looked at my back "Where's Alia?".

Tears rolled down Sydney's cheeks and she answered for me "She's..... Gone".

Selena's eyes widened "What do you mean gone".

"We couldn't save her".

Everywhere suddenly became quiet and everyone turned to face Hunter who was seriously freaking me out with the way he was been quiet.

Julia suddenly freaked out "No.....that's not possible, Alia can't be dead".

"Julia calm down" I tried to cheer her up but she suddenly collapsed in my hands.

"Julia" but she was already unconscious.

"Her body was not prepared for that kind of shock" Kiera stated as I layed Julia on a couch and I faced a still motionless and unconscious Kai "His not still awake".

Kiera face fell and tears gathered in her eyes "We have tried everything but nothing seems to be working".

"Selena......

But Selena was already on her knees looking shocked to her bones "No.....it's not true........Alia can't be.......she can't be.........

And everyone started weeping..... Cary....and Jude....... Sydney....... Sia...... Sue...... Selena.....and even Kiera, everyone except Hunter who just sat there staring into the thin air.

Selena gritted her teeth and clawed at the ground "It's all my fault......I shouldn't have taken them with me...... I shouldn't have".

Cary shook his head "You are not to be blamed my Queen, Alia only died because she wanted to save my life, I should have been the one dead not her".

"It's no one's fault" I quickly interjected.

Hunter suddenly stood up, took a frame of Alia from the main room and headed straight to his room. Everyone attempted to go after him but I stopped them "Let him be, he needs to be alone".
