Love Conqures all, Even death. ***** I leaned in closer, placing my lips against his stone ones. It wasn't until I laid my head against his chest did I feel his cold stone arms went around me, a deep rumble of a chuckle coming deep from within his chest. " It isn't the normal way that man looks at me..." I looked up, with tear filled eyes, seeing his stone face fixed with a perplexed expression. " I know that you said that it wasn't possible for us to be together, but I can't help that I love you, being away from you is way too much to bear. I want to touch you.... " I said running my hands up and down his bulky stone arms, holding back a sob that was threatening to come out of me. He touched my cheek with a stone finger, his expression now consumed with worry. " And I love you... Just don't do anything rash Akasha, please for my sake. I'd hate to see you as one of the souls that I have to help pass through the hall of Judgement." Chapter Three:

I stared at him waiting for an answer but he never said anything, he just closed his eyes and stayed still, almost as if he had returned to his stone self but I knew that wasn't the case. I took s hesitant step towards him and went stiff when his eyes immediately snapped open and he glared at me. I stared back, my face smooth and expressionless as he shifted his hand patting the ground in front of him, his eyes their usual cold lifeless shade. I shook my head not wanting to cross boundaries and I was hoping that he wouldn't cross any. I had a feeling that I would have to keep a close eye on him,  a very close one so he wouldn't try anything.

" Fledgling. Please sit. I said I had something I need to discuss with you." He frowned at me, his hand curled into a fist as he stared at me. I sat down and complied, but I sat as far from as I could. I didn't want him to put his hands on me because it was a temptation.

I wasn't supposed to have any contact with another man, and he was violating that rule. He knew the rules and I was expected to follow them, I was the princess and I had duties that I needed to follow or my crown was going to be delayed.

Surprisingly enough, I didn't really care about the crown, I just wanted to maintain being a priestess for a little while longer.
