Chapter 1
I jolt up as my alarm is blaring. Another sleepless night. I am used to it though. I have been having the same nightmare since I was 12. My old home, The Blue Moon pack, was attacked. Everyone perished except for me and my older brother Jack. Every night is the same. wolves coming and killing all the people I cared for. I continue to see the faces and hear the screams. Jack and I were forced to run. My mother and father told us "run and never look back until your safely in the next pack". Jack shifted and I hopped on his back. we are now in the Red diamond pack. We have been here for 5 years now.
My name is Jasmine. I'm 5'3, which is short for a werewolf. I have long wavy black hair and bright green eyes with gold specks and olive skin. I first shifted when I was 13. My wolf Zara is extremely feisty. Since normal werewolves don't shift until 18 we mask our scent and only go for runs when away from the pack grounds, which is extremely rare. She is snippy all the time since she has to be "locked away" as she puts it. My 18th birthday is tomorrow. Which means I can let her run free finally. Zara is all silver with specks on white on the end of her fur. its looks like fresh snow started to fall on her. she has bright blue eyes.
"Come on or you will be late!" yells Jack. "Ugh. I'm already up." I respond. After a quick shower I get dressed for the day. I chose to wear black skinny jeans with holes, this shows every curve I have, I pair it with a pink v-neck t-shirt and a black leather jacket. I put on heels, which I always wear because of my stunted height. once I finish getting dressed I put on minimal make up to cover my bags from not sleeping and straighten my hair. I have been saving myself for my mate. Starting tomorrow my search is on and Zara couldn't be more excited. I am in my last year at high school. I have decided to go to college in order to find my mate. My parents would have wanted it. Jack is 6 years older then me and has yet to find his mate so he is always with me and constantly telling me what to do and not do. He is the only one besides Alpha Eric and Luna Grace that know about Zara. We had to tell them so that I could leave pack grounds and let Zara roam free.
Once I'm done getting ready I head downstairs and grab breakfast. I grab a apple, granola bar, and a bottled water. i head outside and hop in Jack's car. On the way to school he decides to make small talk. "Another nightmare, huh?" he said. Zara rolls her eyes and growls. "No shit. Same one as always." I say. "Well try not to get into trouble today. Also I won't be able to pick you up from school because I have a meeting with the Alpha and Luna. Can Beth take you home?". Beth is my best and only friend in this pack. "I'll see. If not ill just walk. It's not far anyway." "Okay well just be careful there have been quite a bit of rogue sittings nearby and I dont want you to get hurt." jack said as we pull up to the school. I get out and head into the building and straight to my locker where Beth is waiting.
"Hi Beth!" I say as I approach my locker. She looks up from the current book she is reading and smiles. She is 5'7, long brown hair and honey brown eyes. She is very smart. "Hi Jazz!" she replied. "Can you take me home after school today?" I reply putting my bag in my locker and grabbing the books I need for first period. "I'm sorry Jazz, but not today. I have a tutoring session after last period." she frowns. "It's okay. Jack just has a meeting today so I will just walk." I smile back closing my locker. "dont look now but apparently the twins have something to say to you." she said. just then I am slammed against my locker, the lock slamming in to my back and look up to see Skylar and Tyler the alphas twin sons. Skylar is 6'3 brown hair and green eyes and Tyler is 6'3 black hair and blue eyes. They look me up and down then at each other then back at me. "What the hell! What do you both want?" They both growl "MINE".
