'Black Grade? Poor ability? Perhaps you haven't had your fortuitous encounter yet.'

'But what is it about the Black Grade? Is the system assigning different grades than usual? But it's not that unusual. Whatever, I'll figure it out later.' Liu Feng believed there was no use in complicated simple things.

"What I'll teach you is the most basic version of my technique. Prove yourself, and once you've mastered it, I'll teach you more advanced techniques."

However, Liu Feng left some details unsaid in order to appear mysterious and brag a little more in front of Zhang Yan. He believed that with enough time, his technique could easily evolve to a higher level.

After executing the basic movement, Liu Feng began instructing Zhang Yan on how to perform the technique.

Liu Feng did not ask Zhang Yan to take a break until he appeared to have mastered the basic movements.

Liu Feng stood up from the ground after some relaxation and suggested, "Let's go have a practice match."

Zhang Yan appeared to be happy with the proposal as he assumed a fighting pose. Liu Feng was also delighted to have a sparring partner since it would help him progress and improve his technique.

Only after a few hours of sparring did Zhang Yan appear to become tired. Liu Feng was highly impressed by his strong physique. Considering Zhang Yan was still an ordinary person, Liu Feng thought his strength was outstanding.

As Liu Feng had already begun cultivating and was in the Qi condensation stage, this was not enough to exhaust him. He did not use Qi to fortify his body as usual in order to have a good match with Zhang Yan.

Eventually, both of them came to a stop, 'haah...haah...haah...', Zhang Yan let himself fall to the ground panting deeply. Liu Feng, on the other hand, was not entirely relaxed either. Beads of sweat have begun to stream down his brow.

Zhang Yan struggled at first to connect the techniques, but he quickly became proficient and surpassed Liu Feng's expectations with the technique. Liu Feng was perplexed by this because he just had learned that the guy did not have a good talent for practicing his family's martial arts.

Although Liu Feng realized before that his technique focused on strength rather than speed possibly having originated from a creature that is known for its strength. But in this case, he felt like the martial technique he practiced, was slightly different from Zhang Yan.

He wasn't sure if it was his inadequate teaching or Zhang Yan's innate talent that was causing his martial arts to mutate.

'Perhaps it's simply how he fights...his innate nature might be influencing this', Liu Feng didn't waste time thinking about it.

During the sparring, he noticed Zhan Yan become more furious with each stride. Liu Feng noticed that Zhang Yan's mastery of the technique was growing stronger with each move.

With each blow getting stronger compared to the one before it, Liu Feng concluded that Zhang Yan's mastery of the technique had already reached the beginner level. It took him by surprise as even though it was a simplified form of his martial technique, attaining the beginning level of proficiency in a matter of hours was rather amazing.

Liu Feng resumed his practice after telling Zhang Yan to take a break. He tried to evenly spread the qi within him across his entire body, unleashing his full cultivation of the second stage of Qi Condensation. This has become a standard practice for him as he feels that this process has many useful benefits.

No doubt, years of reading multiple "holy scriptures" and the status of being an Otaku had some influence on his decision.

This process demanded intense concentration because sustaining this form for a long time was quite challenging.

Liu Feng sensed an increase in Qi within himself after progressing to the next stage of cultivation. Taking both claws and arming himself, he began practicing his [Beast God's Claw Art]. Zhang Yan, unbeknownst to him, was observing him practice. Even though Zhang Yan was too exhausted to even stand properly, he appeared to be trying to peer into the secrets of the technique.

His claw technique proficiency was still at the beginner level, but he felt that the door to intermediate proficiency was only around the corner.

After some time, he put down his claws and picked up his next "borrowed" weapon, the whip. Noticing the change in Liu Feng's weapon, Zhang Yan seemed disappointed as he wanted to see more of the claw technique Liu Feng was performing.

Liu Feng's proficiency with [Beast God's Whip Art] remained at the initiated level, thus he wasn't quite as good as his other techniques. However, Liu Feng believed that the passive ability associated with it, the snake-like slithering movements was quite beneficial. Although he was not particularly excellent with it yet, Liu Feng enjoyed the seamless flow of his movements.

With the help of this technique, he moved so swiftly that his body was able to maneuver in any direction thus receiving the advantage of avoiding any assaults from an enemy.

After a few hours of training, Liu Feng's proficiency did not increase, but he made significant progress. He felt he could achieve beginner proficiency in [Beast God's Whip Art] very soon.

Liu Feng still had more than half of his Qi reserves untouched so he decided to try out a new martial arts combo.

Taking a brief rest Liu Feng completely relaxed. He braced himself for the upcoming moments by taking a deep breath.

Liu Feng began performing his [Beast God's Movement Art]. As he was already quite experienced with it, he proceeded using his [Beast God's Claw Art] with his bare hands, along with the advanced movements of [Beast God's Movement Art].

Possibly because he began merging these two martial arts a while back, there was a synergy in the process. Both martial arts complemented each other well, but executing both at total capacity for an extended period was too exhausting for Liu Feng.

Liu Feng recently thought he had found a solution after studying and analyzing his newly acquired and improved martial techniques. Both the active and passive abilities he gained from his techniques, showed promise when dodging strikes due to the footwork associated with them. He realized that the evading and avoiding abilities it provided could help him handle the burden while executing other attacks. Rather than always being aggressive, it was advantageous in a practical fight to be able to attack and dodge accordingly, adapting to the circumstances.

Slowly but surely, Liu Feng started to become acquainted with his combined martial technique derived from his three martial techniques.

After crossing a certain threshold, Liu Feng realized that things were not going well for him since his Qi reserves were rapidly draining.

Liu Feng did not want to give up now since he felt he was already in "the zone." He believed he had reached some kind of conclusion with the techniques. Having less than 50% Qi reserve, Liu Feng had a feeling this was the path to obtaining the next level of proficiency.

Soon after, he felt a scorching sensation throughout his body, as if it was on fire. Although it was not uncomfortable, rather he was at ease given the situation he was facing. He jumped high in the sky, imitating a serpent-like slithering movement along with his [Beast God's Movement Art].

He moved gracefully through the air and unleashed an attack with his [Beast God's Claw Art] with his bare hand.

With this attack, Liu Feng depleted his Qi reserves fully and was completely drained. He was exhausted as a wave of weakness washed over him due to his extreme Qi deficiency.

Despite the exhaustion, Liu Feng kept his eyes open to witness the fruits of his intensive training with great difficulty.

A grin formed on his face as his sharp claw strike struck the earth. He didn't need to witness the result of his attack since he already knew he had made a breakthrough and that this was his most powerful attack since arriving in this world.

Without a doubt, this was a trump card. In this uncertain world, having a powerful trump card in his arsenal was advantageous to him. It consumed more than half of his Qi reserves, but Liu Feng was pleased. As he began to descend from the sky, he lost consciousness.

"Boss..." cried Zhang Yan as he dragged his already exhausted body towards Liu Feng.

Zhang Yan was still carefully observing Liu Feng's attacks just a few moments ago. He was striving to capture each movement of Liu Feng in his mind to improve himself and surprise Liu Feng.

When Liu Feng jumped toward the sky, he executed an aerial maneuver. Zhang Yan was dumbfounded seeing this.

'Wow…', he let out a cry in a low voice subconsciously.

He was quite captivated by the scene in front of him, and he kept his mouth open without saying anything. Although the jump had astonished him greatly, the following thing he witnessed was the reason for his silence.

Liu Feng released a pair of three sharp streams of blue shimmering Qi projection assaults. As they made contact with the ground, it continued to drag forward, indifferent to everything that lay its path. The middle strike of the projected Qi strikes was unusually powerful and larger than the rest. The attack collided with some trees, leaving an X mark on the ground.

Soon, a clean slit appeared among two of the trees as the upper half of the trees slid on the ground, causing the earth to tremor. Another tree collapsed to the ground nearby, as a swarm of birds began crying out in a variety of high and piercing tones. It appeared that the cut was not as clean for that tree. This movement caused quite a commotion in the surroundings, as various creatures started fleeing at random.
