Since he couldn't discover any creatures here, he decided to venture farther into the forest.
He had only spotted wolves on the forest's borders, but that wasn't enough for him now. He still needed to kill a couple more wolves to collect 10 Lesser Grade Dao Fragments.
He detected some activity close after a few minutes of wandering. He instantly hid in a nearby bush after sensing various movements. Several animals were escaping from something.
He crept carefully towards where they were running. He soon realized that two big creatures were engaged in a battle. One was similar to the grey wolves he had previously hunted, but it was larger and stronger. It was also too fast to follow.
It was most likely an adult Gale Wolf. On the other hand, there was a lion. Its body was covered with crimson flame-coloured fur.
These two were engaged in a heated brawl. Both were around the same size, standing about 3-4 meters tall. The lion likely had more strength since it was bigger and every motion it took caused observable tremors in the surroundings.
The wolf, on the other hand, was fast, almost too fast to follow with naked eyes and almost no attacks of the Lion were landing on it.
It seemed the Gale wolf was attempting to exhaust the opponent with its speed and quick assaults. The lion, on the other hand, was relying on its exceptional endurance and strength.
From time to time, the lion was trying to inflict powerful strikes with its claws and bite down on the wolf. Their struggle was too fast for Liu Feng to keep up with.

Both animals soon began to slow down. He could now observe their battle easily.
They were both riddled with injuries. The Lion's neck was covered with bite marks. It was nearly completely coated in blood. The Gale wolf's body was covered with claw marks. Its fur has been stained red with the Lion's blood.
Soon the winner was determined, and the Gale Wolf came out on top. The badly injured lion perished soon after, and the Gale Wolf was left standing. Although it had won the battle, it had suffered severe damage.
Liu Feng intended to kill the wolf, but he felt it wasn't the right moment yet but as if feeling his murderous intent, the wolf turned towards him.
Although he had hidden under a bush, he had the impression that the wolf was staring at him.

The wolf glared at him, and rushed towards him, eager to finish its target as soon as possible. Despite it being in terrible shape, it felt that a human with no cultivation was not his opponent.
It was not some wild beast; it was already considered a low-level demon beast. In Human terms, it already has the power of the early stages of Qi Condensation Cultivator.
Apart from their power, the biggest distinction between wild creatures and demon beast was their intellect. This time, they were seeking a way to break past their bottleneck and enter the next stage. Whoever wins the battle will be able to level up if they can absorb the other's essence.
This was its natural instinct, but this random human out of nowhere was now attempting to kill him and take advantage of the situation. It felt threatened when it saw this human rise again, and it intended to kill him as quickly as possible.

"Perhaps they'll start another battle to see who gets to have the bodies, Sigh~."
"Well, who cares...", He only wanted to earn his DP and the Dao Fragments, but he believed he had earned enough for the time being given his current condition.
He did not go straight to his base; instead, he wanted to clean himself first.
He soon arrived at the pond and decided to take a bath. He sat on a stone slab and dipped his body into the water after cleansing himself.
