Possibilities!

Yone stayed like that for a while, thinking about his current strength, his potential enemies from the village when they found out about his escape and special means of killing, and the whole world in general.

From his long life experience doing such killings, he was confident that his enemies would take a few days before they found the body, and a few more before they tracked his traces and caught up to him.

There was also the possibility that his deeds were already found and his parents sent people to chase after him.

Both were viable possibilities and could occur.

But no matter what happened, he still had to progress slowly and not rush anything.

Patience was the key to countless solutions, especially life-and-death ones.

For the time being, Yone was confident that his safety was assured and his 'cruel' parents who issued the order for his execution wouldn't be able to find him so quickly.

Even if they found out about the guard's death a minute after he killed him, it would still take some time to locate the secret path out of the village.

"Ah, why are people killing others for a mere talent test," Yone almost cried as he thought about that," What kind of world was I placed in, parents killing off their offspring..."

He held his head with both his hands, tears flowing out of his eyes.

He looked depressed, sad, and angered.

He felt that something was stripped away from him, something he deeply cherished...

He didn't know whether it was his love for his parents or trust in them.

But Yone knew one thing... He was wronged!

In the next moment, he laughed aloud mocking the people who would think in such a way.

What cruelty.

Such means were needed if someone's goal or dream was to stand on the pinnacle of the world.

Friendship.

Relationship.

Family and a kind-hearted person.

All of those would lead to someone's demise in one way or another.

Yone saw it happen countless times, and that's why he resolved in his heart never to stray from the path of a demon.

This was Yone's sole rule in his journey in his past.

And that rule won't change in this life!

He then focused on the location part.

He really didn't want to venture into this world without knowledge of his surroundings and nearby locations.

The books his parents gave him turned out to be filled with fake locations.

Maybe it was meant to protect themselves after their children get 'kidnapped' and walk on the path of revenge.

As he scrolled through the memories of the guard and what he studied, he found out pretty much the general layout of everything around him.

Three kingdoms ruled over the north of this planet: The Elinar Kingdom, The Snow Lake Nation, and The Heaven's Staircase Empire.

Each is ruled and also founded, by an unknown, near-godlike entity. He was now in the Snow Lake Nation which the Snow royal family rules. No one knows who the king or queen is, but according to records during the time of conflict between the great kingdoms, it was said that a single attack from the mysterious rulers could wipe out a whole region.

Yone's full attention was locked into these specific details he was yearning for since he reincarnated into this world, his brain was working in full gear. Imagining the power those mysterious rulers had, he couldn't fully comprehend it due to the things he was told!

One had to remember that even the system itself described his past world as an anthill in front of this one.

So what Yone once thought was great power might just turn out to be child's play in this world.

As for his location?

Yone didn't pay it much heed.

The village controlled by the Black Rose was undoubtedly situated in the Elinar Kingdom, but it was located on its outskirts, bordering the Snow Lake Nation. This is why the secret path exit was in the Snow Lake jungle.

After he digested the information, he continued scrolling through his memories with expectations filling his eyes.

Unfortunately, Yone was greatly disappointed by what he found out.

The guard had almost no information about the other kingdoms, and only an insignificant amount about his nation, though not much was released to the public, his identity as a guard in one of the noble clans, enabled him to know enough.

Yone on the other hand didn't care about that measly knowledge.

The politics between nobles and kingdoms had nothing to do with him, so the little information the guard knew was meaningless to him. However, he didn't entirely push it to the back of his mind, as he never knew when such information might prove useful.

In the next few minutes, Yone closed his eyes sorting out all the information in his head.

It wouldn't be a joke to say that no matter how many centuries Yone lived, gaining new decades of memories still overwhelmed his mind. Not in the sense that it would collapse his mind or endanger it, but it is harder to sort out since countless useless details would emerge here and there disturbing his train of thought.

BOOOOOMMM!

An explosion resounded, with splinters of wood flying everywhere.

Yone opened his eyes, Immediately altering his body with his old body technique while simultaneously amplifying it with a bit of his Qi.

Fortunately, he didn't need guides on how to channel his Qi through his body since he already had what he needed a bit from his past life and a lot from the guards.

Immediately after, everything slowed down a tiny bit, the sound, the splinters of wood, and even his hair flowed slower than usual.

This was the true power of his body technique!

It could improve his body to a level where he would rival an animal's instincts and even speed plus strength.

He would have never been able to use it in this intense way a day ago, but thanks to his cultivation and the little amount of Qi he had in his dantian, he could take this form for a minute.

Alas, a minute was his limit, and any more than that would destroy his body.

"I wonder what's going on there," Yone smiled with amusement," If my guess is right, it's a battle."

He then rubbed his hands," And a battle means a lot of resources and free amb..."

"No, no... what am I thinking of," Yone slammed his head angrily," I have to save the losing side, Ha-ha-ha..."

Only a crazed laugh was left in the secret path as Yone had already opened the formation and jumped out of the tree trunk.
